Military family here. I moved here from California where we had a children's dental fun zone. Very similar to this office. I knew I found the one when we walked in. Very welcoming , my kids love going to the dentist. Dr Wiring is absolutely amazing. So careful with all my kids very knowledgeable and very patient. My concern is with the appointment problem. My husband suffers from ptsd which I turn has horrible loss of memory. Every single time he takes kids he sets appointments doesn't tell me and we miss them. 100% of the time. Because of this , I was told today we have to find a new dentist. I am so upset. I was given two options. Find a new dentist or pay your missed appointment for the 4 kids which is 50.00 each kid. Again I love this dentist. But wish there was a better way to handle this maybe send a text a day before appointment and if I don't confirm then cancel appointment. And maybe they did but it went to the kids father's number . Not sure . This is the second time this happens I hope we can get it figured out. read more

I'm more insecure about my smile than ever. I got fitted for an Invisalign retainer for 300$ after spending years in braces. The retainer would never stay attached to my teeth at night and I'd have to find it every morning. It also warped horribly after I tried using hot water to clean it (I wasn't sure how to take care of it) and I asked for a replacement and they explained I'd have to spend another 300$ out of pocket. I was also told once I got my braces removed (after about five years) that "it wasn't his best work." I also had my teeth shaved down involuntarily when I was young, and I miss my pronounced canines and instead I have a shaved down "doll-like" teeth. When I look in the mirror I try not to smile because it reminds me of when my doctor told me I had to shave my teeth so "boys will like me more." I am still uncomfortable years after, it puts a pit in my stomach and makes me physically sick. I miss my old smile, and I wish I had more assistance in recovering from this. My teeth are uneven, I still have glue on my bottom right canine, and I have very sensitive teeth now and an uneven bite. Edit: all my friends went to Truman, one of which had really crowded teeth and got his braces off within a year recently. I am envious of my friends who had a positive experience with their braces and easy aftercare. I've paid for my retainers 3 times (900$) where Truman offers a five year replacement plan for 880$ and covers all damages. I'm stuck without a retainer now even though I had just purchased it in February. I was really hoping that being a loyal customer (I thought of leaving several times through my braces process but didn't) I would be treated with better customer service. How will I trust this establishment, when I made appointment which suppose to be their first impression of professionalism, on the contrary the customer service rudely asked if I had Medicaid. Just because I have foreign accent? I told her I have no Medicaid and arranged the appointment. Then once I thanked her, she just slammed the phone. I was skeptical but sure planned to bring my child here anyway. Until got recommendation to check Truman and the last minute deal was done there. Nice people, not great quality. This place was amazing through the braces journey but once they took them off, not so great. I requested a permanent retainer because I knew I wasn't going to use the clear ones as I was younger, in choirs, etc. . He told me that it would be fine and not that bad and wouldn't offer me the permanent retainer. Now my teeth have shifted and they are worse than before I got braces. Insurance only covers braces once so now I'm left with worse off teeth. read more

I came here back in 2016 to get braces, I got them off in 2018. They gave me 4 pairs of retainers (Invisalign) for the "rest of my life" which when I got them back gave me a gap in my teeth that I never had even BEFORE braces so I came back in and they gave me a singular pair or retainers to last me the "rest of my life" that were NOT even Invisalign like it's supposed to be, fast forward of course one pair of retainers that's not EVEN Invisalign isn't going to last "forever" so now I'm left with no retainers and my teeth shifting. What orthodontist leaves their patient with a gap they didn't have before? I paid well over $6000 OUT OF POCKET, no insurance!! and they refused to give me what was part of the plan. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!! Both of my kids have been here. My child was in braces for 5 WHOPPING years. After the braces came off they told me my child needed to have the wisdoms pulled. Not all 4. But 2 at a time. Then the staff told me I had to SWITCH my provider to Dr Wirig's brother bc he is a dentist and he would do it. I told them I had my own dentist I trust and love and they told me I HAD TO CALL MY INSURANCE AND SWITCH TO DR WIRIGS BROTHER bc my dentist wouldn't be good. I have never heard anything like this. They told me that we could only do 2 wisdom teeth at a time. (BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO DOUBLE CHARGE ME). They stated my other child needed the PERMANENT 2 FRONT ADULT TEETH PULLED OUT??!?!?!? why?? Who pulls out the front 2 teeth??? they didn't do their job and neglected my child. I immediately got a 2nd opinion from Truman orthodontics, Noorda Orthodontics and Chenin Orthodontics. All 3 stated that my 1st child should have all 4 of the wisdoms pulled, not 2. They also stated that my child's back teeth didn't even touch on either side. All 3 did a 3D scan on both my kids and stated that I need to stop seeing whoever we have been seeing bc they were not doing the right treatment. Isn't it strange that THREE OF THE BEST ORTHOS in Vegas told me that whoever I'm seeing is being completely negligent with my children. WIRIGS office you will NEVER see the same dr twice. It's always someone different who has NO CLUE what your child needs. Waits are super long and they try to entice you with stupid game room and ice cream. Real true doctors don't need gimmicks. all 3 of the other orthos, you will actually see the same dr every single time. My kids have went to wirig for years and years and they messed up my kids teeth. We've had to have corrective surgery on my kids bc of Wirig Orthodontics. When we had ortho emergencies, dr wirig was nowhere to be found and they won't ever give his phone number out to be reached. This is a horrendous place to bring your children. I suggest if you are currently seeing him you need to get a 2nd opinion right away!!! I had no idea my kids back teeth didn't touch or that they were in risk of losing all their permanent front teeth. I would hate for anyone to ever go through what we have been dealing with. I have two kids who are patients of this practice and after 5 years I've determined that every doctor working there is amazing. We've seen Dr. Bybee, Wirig, and Shaw and gotten everything from orthodontic work, cleaning, fillings, etc. Not only is their setup designed to want kids to attend, they are all clearly family people who understand the fears (both rational and irrational) of moms. Not only it were they able to get my baby girl in after setting an appointment but they treated us very well and made my daughter feel very comfortable with going to the dentist. She done amazing and it really helps that the staff is so friendly and well with kids! A huge bonus is that they have a great arcade inside the lobby to keep the kids busy and keep their mind off of being at the dentist. We looked at 2 other orthodontist in the area (Chenin also ). Wirig not only offered the best service but also was much less expensive by over $2000 . Everyone at the office was professional and kind . We never had any issues getting in last minute if my daughter had a broken bracket. Payment plans were fair and easy also. You cannot ask for a better place to go if you need orthodontic care. They have also added a pediatric dentist and oral surgeon to the group making the office your "one stop shop" for dental care ! read more

Peace out impacted wisdom teeth - nice knowing you! Dr. Wirig and his staff are phenomenal! I went in so nervous and scared and my nerves were quickly put to ease. They take time to listen to your worries and make every effort possible to assure you are content and ready for your procedure. He does not rush, and speaks to you as you in the chair and let your know step by step of what is happening. The procedure itself is relatively quick, and if your nerves take over, like they did with me, he has no problem giving you a minute to compose yourself. His aftercare is out of this world! Let me preface this by saying I cannot handle pain, like most normal folks, I'm a child when it comes to pain. Lol. Dr. Wirig calls you after hours to check on you, and as in my case, answers his texts and calls immediately should you need anything. Do you know any other doctor who gives you their number and says let me know if you need anything? I don't, this was my saving grace because I was in a serious amount of pain. Again, I process pain differently. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wirig and his awesome and caring staff should you need ortho work or your wisdom teeth taken out. Unfortunately this place was amazing until it was time for my grandson to get his braces. and then they screw you at The end. and tell you that he missed appointments. But every time they confirm appointments we go to every appointment but for some reason they didn't have the right information so they been sending confirm appointments to a wrong number. That my grandson had to pay for it these people are so stupid so you people could kiss my grandson's ass coming to you guys all these years for used to screw him at the end but that's OK we went directly across the street it took them one week and he got his braces took you guys seven years to screw him. I had to come in yesterday for a last minute appointment because I broke my permanent retainer. I had to bring my one year old with me since his dad was at work. The whole staff was so sweet to my baby. While I was getting the work done he was in his stroller next to me and all the sweet workers kept coming over and talking to him to make sure he was happy! Came in for Invisalign pretty sure I had it for one year before they terminated me over a late payment and I had been using my debit card for me and a friend so double in a year of payments and my friend never came in to get a single tray or a single appointment after the first day of putting down a deposit. So it was 500$ down per person. And installments of 300$ per person each month. The total per person was between 5-7k for sure but can't remember specifics. Do the math! 600 times 12 is 7200$ more than enough for one person! They told me they were not returning my friends money because the services that I alone received was worth more than what I paid! That makes no sense as the service all together would not have exceeded 7k for one person and I was not even finished with my treatment after a year and I only come in every few months for 5 minutes for new trays. My friend has never came in for a single treatment nor tray! So my friend did not pay for one month but paid for the next month. I paid every month as I am going in for appointments. The last month I came in I was only late by a few days and I guess my friend still hadn't paid that one missing month yet. They asked me about it upon checking in for my appointment and I explained the situation and that I could make sure the payments were made that day but I didn't bring any money with me so I would have to either pay after service or what ever they wanted. They Offered to take me today and I agreed to pay once I got home. Kool! I'm only a few days late I thought my bill was due on the 5th but apparently it was due the 1st. I get to the chair and was about to get my trays when 3 people come into the room which is tiny btw. And one lady starts asking me why I haven't made the payments yet. And I'm annoyed that they are doing me like this when I thought we already went over this? I was very annoyed by this intrusive and unnecessary encounter. She was the one being unprofessional! Of all times to ask me she chooses now? So anyways Somehow she takes what I said and uses that as an excuse to terminate my service! I never cussed or yelled at anyone!!!! She's in here questioning me while I'm in the dental chair like so rudely with 2 other people!! after I was permitted to pay after my appointment and I would have complied with them either way !!! And I would most definitely have paid as this will not be the last time I come back in! I'm not finished with my treatment any time soon! So why are they treating me like some flight risk? I've never not paid!!! They're receiving double payments from me! And they got the nerve to come at me like that!! They kept all the money! They also didn't want to remove the brackets on my teeth so I had to find another dental place for them to tell me that it is wirigs responsibility to remove them!!! So I had to call wirigs back and I told them while I was at the other dental place in the chair! And THEN they went ahead and scheduled me in! Lol I tried to reach out to high management and the owner but they gave us nothing. We just got screwed! They are complete clowns read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had to date. If zero stars was an option, I would have picked it. Find another office. Spare your gums and your teeth the horror. I have a small mouth, and they almost dislocated my jaw trying to get the expanding instrument in there. When I was getting the cement drilled off of my teeth, it felt like a cold sledgehammer whacking me in the mouth over and over again. My gap has come back and I would rather have my mouth look someone screamed yahtzee and threw my teeth in my mouth than give this place another chance to fix them. 0 Stars for me! read more

We were patients (3 kids) of Dr. Bybee and he joined the Wirig practice. We called to schedule with Bybee who is great, but we were told we could only see the Wirigs. We did and they were nice. I paid all my copays upfront and then was notified much later that I owed for an x ray that the insurance would not cover. The reason they would not cover it is that she had the same x ray in the not too distant past with Dr Bybee and it was too soon to get another. So I knew they had not looked at my kids charts at all. When I talked with the staff about this their line was that it is my responsibility to know what my insurance covers. I felt this was a little disingenuous because I was not informed before hand that this particular x-ray (panoramic) was being performed. I paid the bill and let the office staff now I wouldn't be back and their response was "OK have a nice day" click. I am aware that dental insurance is my responsibility however I will choose to go to a dentist that has office staff that will provide the courtesy of navigating the complications of insurance. Since I am neither a dental insurance expert nor a dentist this is an important benefit that look for in a dental practice. My advice to you is if you choose this dental practice be aware that the insurance is your responsibility and make sure you have educated yourself on the ins and outs of coverage and know exactly each procedure and the codes. read more
