Dr. Ignatowicz and his team came to the rescue once again! I moved to Oregon several years ago, but have not found a decent dentist up there. About 8 months ago I decided to try out a dentist in Oregon for the 3rd or 4th time because a friend recommended a "high-end" dentist, and I finally had dental insurance. I was genuinely hopeful because as much as I love Dr. I and his team, I would love to have a dentist that I don't have to take a flight to get to, lol. Anyway, I have finally accepted that I will always come to Vegas/Henderson to see Dr. I & team for all my dental needs. After getting one crown and two HUGE fillings (that looked horrible because they also should have been crowns) on my bottom right, back three molars, at the Oregon dentist, I noticed a small, dark spot on the inside of one of the molars he had done a filling on. I asked him if it was a cavity, and he essentially said "no, it's not decay" it's just discoloration. Within a few months, the fillings he did on the molars began to wear down significantly leaving a sharp, jagged edge on the inside of the two molars. Fortunately, I was back in southern Nevada for a few months so decided to make an appointment with Dr. I. After an exam and new x-rays, Dr. I confirmed what I thought, that the small dark spot was in-fact a cavity, and that the two molars did need crowns. I was frustrated that the Oregon dentist had done such a terrible job, even though Dr. I was so professional and wouldn't say anything negative about the other dentist, I could tell he was as shocked as I was about the dental work that had been done, which was very validating. Dr. I's team was able to schedule me in very quickly for both the crown prep and crown placement. ALL of his staff are wonderful as well! Maria, one of his amazing office staff, gave me information about a dental discount program that saved me even more money on top of Dr. I's incredibly reasonable prices. I genuinely don't know how Dr. I is able to offer such reasonable prices with such a high level of expertise and patient care without having to schedule years in advance. I'm sorry this review is so long, but I can't recommend him and his team enough, especially if you suffer from dental anxiety and/or need extensive dental work as I did when I started coming to him almost 10 years ago. I've had weak, decay-prone teeth since I was a little girl so having a dentist who has been able to help me overcome all of that past dental-related trauma has been such a blessing. Lack of Quality of Care and Lack of Communication! First of all the X-rays were excessive to say the least. The day of my cleaning I briefly met with Dr. Chen Very disappointed. He didn't talk to me . He was not friendly , and didn't explain anything to me . He didn't give me any options at all about what I needed. I had to ask about fillings for my front teeth. They said I needed 4 fillings .OK So I scheduled them. The day of the filling process was horrible service from Dr. Chen. Absolutely no communication with me when he walked in the room to get started. He didn't go over the plan or inform me what type of filling they were using on me. He didn't give me options or tell me any info about his plans for my mouth. He didn't check in with me at all during the procedure , or explain as he was going . He didn't ask how I was doing or if I was feeling ok at any time ! At one point I had to STOP him to ask what he was doing or how it was going because I wasn't doing ok. I was feeling anxious and not secure. Then I had to YELL stop because I could FEEL the drilling he was doing. I was very upset when I left , and the fillings were super gritty, and they left a terrible acetone smell and taste in my mouth. It was a terrible experience I left very upset. My mouth stayed numb for 3-4 hours after that as well. And my top gums were sore for days !! Never again would I see Dr.Chen. I never once even met Dr. Ignatowicz. Dr. Chen you need to talk to your patients and ask them questions .You should explain things and give them treatment options. You need to see if they are OK and let them know your plans and procedures as you begin ! And you definitely need to check in on them when you are sitting them through 4 FILLING IN ONE SITTING!! I was told needed 4 new crowns, they removed 7!!! No call prior to appt., not told I had to request nitrous oxide, should be a given for a 4 hr appt. They asked if I took my 'relaxant'-said what? Wasn't told of this or given a Rx. OMG!!!!! My advice is to go elsewhere as this place is nothing but a money making machine. I had been going to this dentist office for years and generally thought the care was good. Life got busy, and I hadn't been in for over a year. When I recently tried to book a cleaning after that time away, the process became frustrating. Because I hadn't been in a while, they required X-rays first, which took a few weeks to schedule. When I finally went in, they only took the X-rays and told me I couldn't get a cleaning until March--about eight months later. While I was still at the office, I requested my X-rays for a second opinion. However, I didn't receive them until a week later. They said it was office policy, even though the X-rays are digital and I expected to get them by the end of the day since I had been there that morning. They told me I needed four crowns and a filling. Wanting a second opinion, I went to another office, and they suggested only two crowns and a filling. While the staff was professional, the long wait for a cleaning, the difference in treatment recommendations, and the delay in providing my X-rays made the experience less convenient and transparent than I hoped. read more

Mind you I used to be a patient at this dentist office and I had nothing but respect for them however, I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who has been receiving dental implants from them. She has had multiple complications from this office and just today had to go to the emergency room because she would not stop bleeding. Her blood pressure was dangerously low and when I say dangerously low, I mean dangerously! I don't know what happened or the circumstances behind the practice of those doctors however, I do know that this is outrageous and this should not be happening, and if I have the power, I would be taking legal action. Beware of this office. Dr. Ignatowicz does not care about his patients. I was there to have a bridge done. Huge mistake. They did not have enough cement on initial seating, so they had to cut the bridge off and try again a second time, leaving me with great discomfort in one of my original virgin teeth. After promising they would cover the cost of the root canal (their mistakes that caused my pain), they retracted their promise and did nothing, leaving me with sub par dental work that's already failing, now causing a great amount of pain, and it is only a few years after placement. I visited a dental office for an initial exam due to a sensitive tooth and to get a basic cleaning. The dentist, after a brief 10-minute appointment involving X-rays and a one-minute oral exam, referred me to a hygienist and recommended a deep cleaning for all four quadrants. My teeth and mouth are generally healthy, except for the one sensitive tooth. When I asked the receptionist if I could opt for a basic cleaning instead, she claimed it would be illegal for the hygienist to perform one. This felt like upselling and dishonesty, as neither the dentist, hygienist, nor receptionist examined my gums before suggesting the extensive deep cleaning. read more

Unfortunately I deleted my review which was great, but written a few years ago, shortly after that we stopped going due to the way our little one was treated after a filling (that fell out a few month later 2017) I had two crowns done before that , one on top one on bottom of each other. Something wasn't ever right from the beginning. After getting the the work done with temp crowns I was bruised and extremely swollen when I called to express my concern I was told it's normal since it was all done on one side. The permanent crowns never fit right, felt off and always SUPER sensitive. When I express this concern I was told there wasn't root-canal so there will be sensitivity, but cold, hot even air always hurt. Yesterday 12/2/2019 went into our new dentist -I was having pain in both crowns done by Dr I (less than 2 years ago AND $600) they took them off yesterday and were shocked- HE LEFT PARTS OF MY OLD SILVER FILLING IN BOTH TEETH!!! In one tooth he left temporary filling.....WHAT THE ACTUAL F***!!! All is documented! Less than 24 hours with my new crowns and there is a big difference. They actually fit have no sensitivity NOT bruised and swollen and all work was done same day same time. Amazing what good care really is. Having a dentist who actually takes pride in his work is priceless!!! read more

Dr. I is my dentist and the kids primary dentist and Katharine is our hygienist. This office has been our dental home since moving to Vegas from California in 2007. It's very comforting that year after year that the staff has stayed consistent and has grown over the years. Dr.I stayed in the same building, but took over the front office of the building. Then years later they grew again and added an additional office upstairs. They also added Dr. Hernandez and additional Hygienists. They use the office downstairs for cleanings and upstairs for other procedures. My son needed his first 2 cavity fillings so this meant a trip upstairs and my son was pretty nervous. He had a lot of questions in the car on the way to the office. Will it hurt? How long will it take? Will you be with me the whole time? I felt confident to assure my son that he would be in good hands and that I will always be close by. Dr. Hernandez was the one taking care of my son and I let him know it was his first cavity fillings. Dr. Hernandez took the time to explain the important parts of the process and gave him a squishy ball to squeeze during the process when he was feeling uneasy. They removed chairs in the procedure offices upstairs due to COVID, but they let me stand in the corner because of his age and that my son didn't want me to leave. The procedure went really well and we went to get a Dole whip to celebrate. It is so nice to have a great dentist to make procedures that are an uncomfortable part of life feel much more comfortable. COVID Procedures: This office is always so clean and organized it's hard to think that they could make improvements during COVID and they did. The entire staff wears masks and shields. In the waiting room they removed some chairs and furniture and they have a barrier between you and the office staff. They have room ionizers all over the office to help with sanitizing the air. They sanitize the counter and pens after each person has checked in and signed forms and take your temperature. Masks and washing your hands is required before you sit in the chair ready for care. They also removed the chairs that were in each of the treatment rooms for additional family. They prefer that you wait in the waiting room for your child to finish procedures, but they will accomodate if you have a young child that wants you to stay close by. Prior to COVID the kids could watch Netflix and wear headsets, but they had to remove those. I will continue to take my family to this great office and I have even recommended several friends and co-workers who feel the same way! read more

**Disclaimer...not legal advice, or medical advice...just my point of view based out of my experience of the interaction** The one star is in regards to essentially being refused treatment at the front desk....not because of payment, which it didn't even get that far....gave my insurance card...which the lady then said "um...is this like a dental insurance card?"...well, I am in a dental office, and on the front of the card says the insurance company, a policy number, phone number, member id number, I guess it being paper....which I have not received a plastic dental/medical/car/vision insurance plastic card in a good 10-14 years. Maybe she is unaware that many companies no longer participate in the unnecessary plastic usage thing. She would not call the number to verify in real time...in my almost 20 years being in healthcare...we would pick up the phone to verify coverage if information did not come back via computer within 5 minutes. Customer service is a dying art form. I refused to give consent for them to scan my driver license....which by law is NOT PART OF ANY MEDICAL/DENTAL PROCEDURAL PROTOCOLS...NOT EVEN TO VERIFY INSURANCES, NOR FOR ANY TYPE OF ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES. Remember....PRIVATE PRACTICES SCANNING YOUR ID IS NOT LAW! So when I made them aware of that, I was then told...."if you have insurance, we have to verify it's you"....Yes people, while I was physically and presently there...in person, holding the id for them to visually verify it's me... I was told NO the COMPUTER SCAN of my id is MORE valid than the physical me standing there.....holding the id...to my face....hmmm?????? Spidey senses at full alert yet???? Just fyi....there's NO LAWS that support ANY medical or dental practice to scan your license or id......what the law DOES support is that you SHOW THEM your id to avoid potential fraud. Yes, you holding your id, so they may verify you....think supermarket having to verify your your credit card purchase....they don't scan your id, or make a copy or take photos...or ask for ssn...you hold it, they look at it, then at you. That's it. When I last checked...as of like 2010 or 2011...Dentist / Medical offices are by law...not considered creditors...the RED FLAG RULE of law does not apply to them!! I looked for changes in this...couldn't find any. All I will say is....sometimes, your information may or may not be used in a manner to make a little extra moola.....or to gain access to your credit reports/conduct background checks or obtain other unnecessary information on you. I say this because another medical/dental office in Vegas mentioned some info to me like passive conversation....but it was after having my id...magically mentioning a particular area I use to live in more than 25 years ago....probability of that...ZERO AND NONE because it WAS NOT PUBLIC RECORD!!! Get what I am saying! I stopped giving my id from that moment on. If you are receiving some sort of government help, and on medicare/medicaid...etc. they very well may need to scan id because of federal law regarding use of receiving assistance. I however, handed her a private pay insurance card....so...NOPE. They could have easily told me how much, and I would have paid, as we know NO medical office or dental office in Vegas will not render service unless PAID IN FULL prior to being seen. I would just have office reimburse as needed or credit to account. This happens, and it's okay, as I have done this many times over the years...no problem. This happens sometimes, insurance information delays or office miscommunication happens..it's not a big deal. It was in poor taste, however, to assume I couldn't afford or would be upset over a mere $145...it sucks in 2022 we are possibly still judged based on visual appearances...imagine...having people speak amongst themselves...like you aren't there....and you hear them...rather than them just addressing you direct, and having dialogue...so uncool and hurtful :( The appointment was cancelled based on my id scan refusal. read more

4/15/2021: When I first met Dr. Ignatowicz, he impressed me with his caring attitude and his philosopy that "everyone deserves good dental care". His manner and compassion are exemplary. He has treated me over the years with dental implants, permanent bridges, and crowns, only sending me out for root canals. I have been a patient of Dr. Joshua Ignatowicz for over 8 years as far as I remember. I have a very "difficult" mouth, to say the least. Many dentists have confirmed that fact. Over the past decade or so I have only been able to chew on one side of my mouth because of missing teeth. I am happy to report that as of a few months ago, I am now able to eat (and chew) on both sides of my mouth! It has taken me a while to become accustomed to having teeth on both sides, and I have bit my lip several times learning how to chew on my right side for the first time in many years. Dr. Ignatowicz is very thorough and compassionate, and his office staff are THE BEST! If you are looking for a great dentist, look no further!! read more

Today was not my first time at Dr. Ignatowicz's office, but it has been over five years so I reestablished as a new patient. I saw a new dentist Dr. Gustavo Hernandez. I have seen only Dr. Joshua Ignatowicz in the past who is a pleasant professional family oriented man. I was very pleased with Dr. Hernandez's efficiency and thoroughness . I was also happy to be in and out of the office as a new patient with a full exam, including at least 20 x-rays, as well as close-up and mouse, pictures of each filling ant cavity I needed. I was shown a picture of each of the recommended treated areas, and scheduled for a filling and crown for the area causing me pain symptoms to treat first. The office staff were very pleasant as well. I completed my new patient paperwork online prior to my appointment, which made the process in office very quick. I also enjoyed the TVs with streaming photos to enjoy while in the exam chair and appreciated the cleanliness and modern updates to the clinic. I have visited about four or five different dental offices in Vegas, and am happy to return to this practice. I highly recommend coming here for all your dental concerns, as they are very trustworthy, clean, and professional. read more

I have been a patient of Dr I for a number of years and I have only had a positive experience. In the past, Dr I has been extremely sensitive to my dental anxiety, almost over explaining what would be done and taking the time to make sure I was doing OK. With headphones on and a movie on the tv above the chair, you almost forget you are at the dentist. Haha. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and professional. It really makes you feel like they truly care for you and your well being. Marie from the front desk has gone above and beyond for me in the past, squeezing me in when I needed to be seen. Most recently I got my teeth cleaned with Niki. Niki was very friendly and professional and we had no problem striking up a conversation (the best that I could lol). I look forward to seeing her in 6 months at my next cleaning. I do have some work that I need done that I have been putting off, mainly for financial reasons. Dr I and his staff have not been pushy at all. I have never felt a treatment has been pushed on me. Rather Dr I makes his recommendation and he lets me decide. I tried 4xs to schedule (on one of my few days off) an appointment! This place cancelled my appointment 3 times and tried for a 4th but made me come in at 8 am , and were trying to find a reason to cancel again when I got there . Felt very disrespectful of my time and I only live a block away. I also only get a couple days of a week. Not what I want to do on my day off for nothing! Also , the amount of paperwork( disclosures to cover them)and the mask tells me this place is too cautious, fearful.And overbooking ...Money is the main objective, but far too much for my taste. I like a more caring, patient centered office . It wouldn't have been a good fit for me .So, everything happens for a reason. Thanks God for helping me dodge a potentially bad situation. When things aren't working , sometimes go with it instead of fighting it .p.s. it must be said... I often don't like going to stores and businesses in my own area due to the high cost of real estate and being too much about $$ . Maybe because I am a woman, minority or they don't think I have good enough insurance? But I'm actually a neighbor and a home owner . Rings, cars ... All me! I bought /earned it! Don't judge people! I would prefer to drive to the city than go in my own neighborhood where cash is king! I should have known , with all those assistants in the pics, that they have a lot of expenses. My first visit to Dr. I I arrived in excruciating pain due to a root canal infection. After x-rays and having an examination I was given a detailed explanation of what exactly was going on. Due to the severity we were able to do surgery just a day later. The relief I felt cannot be described in words. During the surgery I felt like I was a part of the process and periodically being asked if I was doing OK and how I was feeling. I've never been to a dentist that is so compassionate, and has a great set of ears for listening. Not to mention the fantastic receptionist team. I love walking into the office and being greeted with smiles. They are always on top of things and extremely organized. The hygienists are awesome. I have had 2 cleaning thus far and have been very happy. The office is always clean, the equivalent is very new. Second opinion is greatly needed. I have been a patient hear for seven years. Totally trusted everyone! Katharine is an excellent hygienist love her dearly always looked forward to going in to see her. However when I was told out of the blue with no pain at all in any of my teeth that eight of my teeth were going to need to be immediately removed I was shocked and afraid. On two previous occasions I had been given false information from Marie and Brook which cost me hundreds of dollars. I overlooked that because I had been trusting them for so long I forgave and moved on. However when you tell me I need teeth removed to the tune of thousands of dollars!!! I needed a second opinion. I watched them grow from a multi dentist office to their own office and then the second floor. I did get a second opinion only to find out I only needed one tooth removed as well as one cap. Other than that all my other teeth are in good health!! Saving me thousands of dollars. I now see how I helped them grow. How many people did not get a second opinion and just went with their program?? I wonder? Get a second opinion it could save you thousands!!! read more

Had my teeth cleaned there today and had a great appointment. Masks are mandatory there and everyone was really nice. The technician even gave me extra tips on keeping my teeth cleaner and whiter! I saw the doctor and he re commended I replace several of my silver amalgam fillings with composite. Sources don't recommend you do this because it risks mercury exposure and damage to the tooth. None of this I was warned about and I didn't know this at the time. After the filling I realized the tooth didn't feel right. He drilled out the filling and didn't fill the hole. (Note: The doctor rebutted this fact below, but I can assure you of the accuracy of this claim). I had to return for the filling. It took several addition trips to fix the bite. Ultimately the tooth was destroyed and needs a crown. It is discolored and appears like some of the silver wasn't removed. The tooth evidently developed micro cracks because it is sensitive. I believe it was poor judgement to push cosmetic dentistry on someone without discussing the risks. Now I am the one who has to pay for a tooth repair and deal with the pain and hassle. Update: I updated the stars from 1 to 2 because he did try to remedy the situation and one star isn't fair to his practice. My wife also had two fillings redone from his practice. I delayed on the review because I wasn't using Yelp that far back. Though nothing in the rebuttal mentions HIPPA protected info, the fact a doctor is directly commenting on your personal info on a open forum is concerning. read more

I came in june of last year to have a botched implant that was infected looked at. Dr. Igmatowicz immediately put me on antibiotics & a steroid told me what he recommended be done I said please whatever you can do I have suffered with this long enough. I returned in a little over a week he was able to remove the implant & the tooth next to it which was also infected he then drew some of my blood and somehow mixed it with bone and filled the area where he had carved out he then gave me more antibiotics and I went home periodically coming in for check ups.After a few months of healing I didn't want any more implants he understood & was able to put in a bridge.I couldn't be more happy! My mouth was BOTCHED here! And he's our family friend's brother!!! I went in for a root canal + crown on a tooth. During procedure, tooth was never fully numbed, no matter how many times I complained. The "calming" drugs they prescribe to root canal patients kicked in, so I only my eyes could water through the pain. I left crying, being told [by Dr. Ignatowicz & his secretary] that I was just emotional...my whole face honestly felt drilled into. Worst pain in my life. To top it off, I went back for the crown and Dr. Ignatowicz made the crown twice the size of my original tooth ("to fill in the space between your teeth"). OH and guess what? Not 2 years later I find out that I have one of the worst gum abscesses with that tooth. I needed under the gum abscess-cleaning and bone graft surgery (under anesthesia). My new dentist and the referred surgeon asked me WHO did my root canal + crown. I told them it was Dr. Ignatowicz and they began laughing. They said that most dentists know he's a quack, so they get patients of his all the time. They laughed especially hard at my crowned bottom tooth that was the size of a front tooth. I got the surgery, had a new + properly sized crown put on the tooth, and got Invisalign to close up the space in between my front bottom teeth. NOTE TO YOU: Do not go to this dentist. His office looks nice, but he knows not what he does. Go to a dentist who has been in the game longer and has 100% perfect reviews. It is necessary. Good luck. read more

The dentist is the absolute last place I want to spend my day, but if I HAVE to, this is the place to go. The doctors were patient with my anxieties and totally understanding. They explained everything they were doing as they were doing it to make me feel more comfortable. I recommend making your appointment early, as they are really booked. read more

I've been going to Dr. Ignatowicz's dentistry office for a quite a few years now and to say I've never experience nothing short of greatness would be a huge understatement. From the time you check into the front office usually with Marie till the time you leave the dentist chair, it's like you're not in an traditional dentist office ...nothing like those crazy experience you've had as a kid at the dentist. Marie is the sweetest, coolest, receptionist you'll ever meet. Marie knows her job quite well and will give you a break down of what your payment will be so you're never blindsided like some of the other dentist office's around town. Dr. Ignatowicz's office will treat you like family from the caring customer service the staff and himself displays towards you to the great acknowledgement and explanation of what the oral examinations and procedures you've came to visit the office. And they have free water bottles in the waiting room just in case you get thirsty or if you want to do a quick pre-rinse before hitting the chair, of course they cover this as well. Lol!! My most recent visit was for a deep clean oral procedure for my teeth and gums. The Great and Awesome job that oral hygienist Kathryn did on my teeth and gums was nothing short of perfection. I had 2 days worth of work and with both days I had zero pain and didn't even need to rinse my mouth out with warm salt water or take no Ibuprofen because..like I said there was no pain. It's like smiles are contagious in this office, Kathryn had a huge smile while explaining everything to me that was going to be done those days. And to top it off it if the experience couldn't get any better, they offer you great entertainment of whatever movie or tv show you would like to watch while getting worked on. Yes, this awesome dentistry has a subscription to Netflix and a huge variety of entertainment to choose from..it's endless entertainment. I watched 2 great movies (Clueless & 13 going on 30) while I was getting my oral work done, the time went by so quick it was like I had just walked into the office. I'm telling you almost 2 hrs later went by like 5 mins later and I was done walking out saying my goodbye's. To sum it all up I definitely recommend Dr. Ignatowicz's dentistry services to Anyone.. especially to my family, friends, coworkers..etc. To get one of the best experiences while going to a dentist office. read more
