There are 4 cottages all with the same layout. Each cottage has a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a fireplace, full kitchen complete with a gas range. In the center of each, there is a one bedroom suite with a room exclusively for the hottub and a small kitchen. It is rented as either a two bedroom (either end of the cottage), three bedroom (an end and the center one bedroom), five bedroom (the entire cottage). It is a timeshare. It can be rented out. We have stayed there at least five times. It is peaceful there even with the construction going on. They recently renovated to make more modern.

I noticed on the website right away that sundara had construction going on. So when I called to reserve I asked right away exactly How the construction would affect our stay. They assured me that where we were going to be staying they wouldn't be working and that all the work was being done on the way opposite side of the resort. So I went Ahead and gladly paid $577 for my over night stay and couples massage. The room was awsome and the massages were great! But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

The second room the first night was ok until we needed to use the toilet the next morning. As a family of 4, the toilet tank takes at least 40 minutes to fill up which wouldn't work ideally for us. Informed the front desk before heading out and was told someone would look into it. Return hours later to find nothing was done. The front desk said they will switch us again. The last room had exposed screws and loose tiles on the bathroom. The assistant manager, Dawn said she would give us $20 off per night which would be $80 total and some loyalty points. I had left multiple messages and Nobody has yet to reach out to us. After one month through Marriott customer service we finally got some points but yet the right amount of refund. The hotel communication is zero to extremely poor at best. They never gave us the refund amount we were promised after two months. They continue to ignore us and acting very unprofessional. They constantly try to close our complaint case even when nothing was resolved. They fail to explain to us the bill breakdown. I will never return to this location.

The indoor and outdoor pools are absolutely amazing--perfect for kids and adults alike. The outdoor pool has a super fun vibe, and the indoor pool is spotless and a great option for rainy or cooler days, or a night swim. The rooms were super clean -- genuinely well-kept and comfortable. You can tell the staff takes real pride in maintaining the property. Everything felt fresh and inviting. The management is incredibly friendly and responsive. From the moment we checked in with Brad (owner) we felt welcomed. They were happy to answer questions, offer suggestions on local eats and attractions, and really seemed to care about our experience. The location is ideal--just far enough from the hustle of downtown to be quiet and relaxing, but still super convenient to everything Wisconsin Dells has to offer. We were able to walk or take a quick drive to shops, restaurants, and the waterparks. Bonus points for the nostalgic charm of the property--it has that classic Dells feel but is updated and well-maintained. A perfect mix of retro and modern. We'll definitely be back. Can't recommend it enough!

We came to Wisconsin on 7/3/26 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. One of the things we got…read moretickets for was the Take Flight experience. We couldn't decide out of the two experience which one to do so we did a double feature. We come into the building on the 4th of July and there is an information desk because the place is loaded with other things to do at the resort. We get to the Take Flight and wait in line until it's time for us to go in. It was a bit of a wait because a group before us had just gone in. We did the Space Flight first. WOW is all I can say! I don't want to give it away but I would recommend the experience. It's full of surprises. We really enjoyed Space Flight. Then we unfortunately had to stand in line again for Wonders of the American West. That wait was even longer. We enjoyed that experience too. We got our pictures taken by a photographer for both experiences and we took advantage of their picture offerings after we were done to remember the experience. The one thing that needs improvement is that you have to be weighed before getting access to the line (which is fine). You have to be less than 325 pounds. There is a red light/green bright circular light on a tall pole right above the scale for everyone to see. It's embarrassing if you step on and it turns red for no entry. That should be moved so only the attendant can see. No one should have anxiety about people seeing if you get a green light or red light. Next we were hungry so we stopped at the Camp Social Burger Bar. Many were hanging out at the bar and the food looked pretty good so we decided to get the Burger BBQ which is an angus beef patty with cheese, bacon and onion strings with bbq sauce. It came with homemade potato chips. Hubby got a pina colada mocktail and they decorated it so pretty with the 4th of July colors and decorations. I must say the burger, chips and the drink were divine. We sat in the seating they have and just chilled which was nice. They have so many other eating places and a candy shop. We really enjoyed our experience there and highly recommend. Thank you Wilderness at the Resort. A+ in our books!

We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their guests truly set Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement apart.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement. We had dinner reservations at their Double Cut Steakhouse. I think we dodged a bullet with the parking because we were there for dinner. You had to go past an attendant who had a sign by him that parking was $25 per car. When we told him we had dinner reservations, he let us go through. All in all, a good experience. Detailed review of the steakhouse in a separate review.

1/5 We have now…read morebooked the Kalahari Treehouse TWICE, driven seven hours each way with our family TWICE, spent more than $5,000 between the two trips--and somehow have still never stepped foot inside the Treehouse we booked. Our first trip was in June. We specifically booked the Treehouse because that was the experience we wanted for our family. When we arrived, we were told there had been a double-booking issue and the Treehouse was no longer available. We were moved to a suite instead. After that experience, I spoke with a Kalahari representative who offered us a discounted return stay so we could come back and finally have the Treehouse experience we originally booked. So we gave Kalahari another chance. We made another seven-hour drive to Wisconsin Dells on August 27, only to arrive and discover that we once again DID NOT have a Treehouse. This time, we had been placed in a cabin. The entire reason we made this second trip was because Kalahari failed to provide the Treehouse the first time. I have email correspondence specifically referencing the two-bedroom loft, and even the Kalahari representative who called us shortly before arrival referred to the two-bedroom loft. At no point during the booking process was I told we were coming back to stay in a cabin. Yet when we arrived, that's where we were placed. I have repeatedly asked a very simple question: When did our reservation become a cabin reservation, who changed it, and where is the documentation showing that I was informed of or agreed to that change? I still have not received a satisfactory answer. We spent approximately $2,800 on this second stay alone, and the resolution offered was a $150 refund. So across two trips, our family has spent more than $5,000 and approximately 28 hours driving to and from Wisconsin Dells. Both trips were negatively impacted by essentially the exact same issue. Book a Treehouse. Arrive. No Treehouse. The most frustrating part is that the SECOND trip only happened because Kalahari was supposed to be making the FIRST situation right. Mistakes happen. I understand that. But when a company makes the same mistake twice--and the second mistake happens during the trip that was specifically arranged to correct the first one--$150 against a $2,800 stay doesn't feel like an appropriate resolution. I've tried handling this privately and giving Kalahari the opportunity to review what happened. I've sent emails, provided screenshots of the correspondence, and asked leadership to review the reservation history. At this point, I still don't have an explanation for how our promised accommodation became a cabin. I can't even get a reply from upper management. For a resort at this price point, I expected significantly better communication, accountability, and customer service. More than $5,000 spent. Two seven-hour drives each way. Two Treehouse bookings. Zero nights in a Treehouse. That pretty much sums up our experience.
