a bowl of fries and a glass of water
    Heather C.

I first visited the Wiseguys location in Downtown Salt Lake. For whatever reason, this location has higher prices. However, a perk to the West Jordan location over the Salt Lake location is that parking is much easier to find. Wiseguys in West Jordan is conveniently located next to shopping, grocery, lots of restaurants, and even dessert. The developers have done a great job at making the area look nice. During my visit, there was a bit of a wait outside, as the doors were not open yet. It was a quick process to get in the door and into the studio. They just needed to check people's tickets and IDs. I am weird and decided to sit in the very front, while most people wanted dibs on the very back. Once you get seated, a server comes by pretty quickly to take any food/drink orders you'd like. I wasn't in the mood for anything except water but I loved their buffalo chicken wrap at another location so I got the same thing here. It was just as delicious as it was last time, though I was not a fan of the fries. The fries themselves were very bland. As for the show itself, it was good but made me realize that I don't actually like comedy clubs that much. There is a lot of obligatory laughing at things that aren't funny at all. Sometimes I think there is laughing happening over the speakers or discounts/comps to those that laugh the most. I know, I am such a debby downer, but the show was just not really that funny at all. Yet, you feel like you have to laugh or it's rude and you could potentially get roasted for it. I do still appreciate the times that I have spent at Wiseguys and I hope to go to a fun event in the future. I would love to see one of the celebrity comedians at a show sometimes, as the shows I have been to so far, have been with people I don't know.

We always have a great time at wise guys! The comedians are great! We usually see a lot of the same guys rotate around, so we see them pretty regularly. But that's OK because they are funny. My favorite thing about going to wiseguys though is the food. I absolutely love getting the ultimate nachos with chicken! It is so delicious! I also get the chicken wings. My husband and I share both dishes so it's the perfect amount of food. That in the combination with the great comedians and the awesome staff it is a great night always.

The comedians are what make or break the events at places like Wise Guys and then things like the venue and the service either make it better or worse. I thought getting into the venue was a speedy process and I thought our waiter was very attentive without being interruptive during the show. We ate the nachos and buffalo wings with fries. I also ordered a sea breeze cocktail that was a good size and had a nice taste. The only reason this place didnt get 5 stars is that getting out of this venue when there was a second show was a complete mess. Something must be done to organize the later show guests to check in, while allowing the finished show guests to leave. It was confusing and difficult to safely exit with the limited space of people. They really should have one employee navigating people inside and another employee or better signs stating the process for people leaving/entering the venue.

It's surprising how little instruction is required - within about 15 minutes, we were climbing the ladder and jumping off the platform, swinging from the bar and transitioning to hang from our knees. (For a severe acrophobic like me, this was still terrifying, but completely safe. Everyone is attached to a safety harness, so even when you let go to drop to the net, they gently hoist you down.) The staff was extremely professional - seriously some of the coolest, nicest people I've ever met. Within our class size of seven, we each got about eight iterations of jumping and flying - everyone, ages 7 to 32, was able to do at least one of the tricks. I will say this is an activity where your fitness level dictates your overall experience. I'm definitely not at my peak, and while I was still able to participate, it was harder for me than the other students. Abdominal and upper-body strength aren't mandatory - but they help A LOT. (Two days later, my fiance and I feel sore EVERYWHERE... Never guessed it would be such a workout!) We also loved the environment, being indoors at the Olympic Oval in Kearns - you're right next to the ice rink, so you can go skating after, if you like. This isn't a cheap date/activity, but it's one you'll never forget! I can't wait to try it again.

Getting there was a little rough. I came in from the mountain corridor side, and it was a very slow moving line to get in, so I'd plan on getting there early. Because I was a little later, I ended up in the Camry lot. This lot is up a hill so the walk back was a hike, but because of its location, it does allow for a quick getaway instead of being stuck in the lower closer lots waiting for the people to walk through and for all the other cars. Even with the long walk, I got out of the venue before most people and was able to quickly get back on the Mountain View corridor. The amphitheater itself is stunning. I love the general admission grass section. The views of the city and sunset were beautiful. Amazing vibes. The security here is INTENSE about bags. I had a small clutch which is allowed and they look out EVERYTHING that I had in it. Like she literally went through every single pocket. The food options are extremely limited and it is a Pepsi venue. I needed to eat so I got a Pepsi zero (they only had Diet Pepsi in one fridge and it was for a line that didn't sell food) and a personal size pepperoni pizza and it came out to THIRTY DOLLARS??? You're joking. The pizza was just okay. The people in front of me got two tall cans of liquid death water and it was $16. A tall can of water for $8 on a hot night is criminal, but I guess they can do what they want since there is no other option. Overall, I would recommend going to a show here. The vibes are super fun and everyone was dancing. The views are beautiful and the grassy section is lovely. I would just recommend eating beforehand and planning to spend a lot if you do end up buying any food or beverages. Oh and of course Pitbull was amazing and totally killed it.

The first amazing surprise is there was no entry fee! We entered the garden and quickly ran into another surprise- a human-sized chess board! My boys wanted to play a game against each other...didn't know it was going to take 45mins...but it was fun to sit and watch and listen to the birds chirping. We then continued our tour around the grounds and saw many wonderful plants, trees, bushes, flowers and more. The grounds are beautifully manicured! There some educational areas where you can learn more about irrigation, landscaping and design. To walk around the garden takes about 30mins, but we spent 1.5hrs here as we took a lot of pictures and asked some questions from the workers. The workers and volunteers were very gracious to answer our questions and teach us more about the garden. You can tell they love their job and they love visitors. At the end of the tour, I made sure to drop a little cash in their donation box. Thanks Conservation Garden Park for the great time!

They have great visual exhibits, labelling placards, and fun interactive activities. 10/10 worth the stop, and I can't believe this place is free to the public. We stopped in here to take some casual iPhone photos as a family since we don't see eachother everyday. (Photography requires a $10 pass) It was the perfect backdrop for what we were doing, and we had a great time exploring the gardens through the park along the way.

The dining room is very pretty when decorated for Christmas. I did not feel like it was crowded at all and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. No need to pay more for VIP. The food was very mid. We enjoyed the appetizer. But from there, most of us weren't too impressed. That being said the portions were generous. There was only one server to do everything for the entire room and he did a pretty good job keeping up. they do say that gratuity is included, but then ask for more money at the end. The magician John ACordo was quite funny. Part magic part comedy. He kept the show moving, and it was a very good length and he had us stumped. They often run specials. So watch for deals. a good event or a date night. No alcohol.
