Worst wings ever. They were dripping grease. I got the recommended "chakra dry rub" and they taste like nothing but grease. There was barely any seasoning on it. I usually love bar food and wings are always my go to. These are not it. The only reason for 2 stars is the burger my husband got was good. Greasy too, but it actually had flavor. He got the seasonal burger.. Our drinks were watered down. If you come for water and music it's cool. But drink and eat elsewhere Oh they also auto tip themselves 20% for me and my husband, not a big party. read more

It was a cool vibe for a Saturday evening. No line outside, which is opposite of their neighbor. DJ was coo, played a lot of 90s/2000s music. Unsure if that's the norm for this bar on a Saturday or if that was just what the DJ plays. Drinks were good but $46 for 2 drinks and 2 shots? That's crazy! And that was before tip. My cousin and I were a little thrown by that since that comes out to almost $12 for each item and those were definitely not $12 worth. Bartender was nice, person at the door was nice as well. They could use a couple more tables in there. I liked they had 2 pool tables in there. Bathroom was pretty decent, wasn't overflowing with garbage. Not sure what the scent was, but it wasn't pleasant when we first walked in. Only talk to the bar tender with the red beard and bright friendly smile (he's the only reason this place gets a star, and I didn't even work with him). The bartender we had was rude, condescending, and took over 20 minutes to even acknowledge me. It's always been a fun and accepting place, but it hasn't been the past 3 times. Fun place with a fun crowd. The bar is not crowded so it's easy to get drinks from the friendly bartenders. The DJ is a bit loud so don't plan on a conversation without yelling. However I still really like this place! read more

This is a great, clean, big bar with a pool table. Bartenders have always been cool. Prices can't be beat. It's never really busy but they do have regulars but everyone is very inviting. It's on busy state street so some street parking but better to add this to one of your stops if your bar hopping. Prices will shock you! Stopped in here on a whim, there were not a lot of people, and it looked bright and colorful. We were greeted by the bouncer to check our ID's, and temperatures. He then lets know about their mask rules. This is super helpful in these weird times, as everyone seems to have their own rules. They all made sense, mask on if you are standing, you can not take a drink while at the bar. We each had one drink, and sat at a table. It was a slow night, looked like they had a birthday party coming in later. Everyone was in a great mood, very nice. Had to order at the bar. didn't have requested beer on tap, asked for it in a bottle, only had one, went to third choice. Got the bill but didn't noticed they included a 20% gratuity FOR 2 people, and didn't bring it to my attention. Having worked in the industry, you used to only add gratuity on large parties. And never at 20% when I had to try three different beer orders to get two cold beers. Asked for forks, bartender said they didn't have any but would bring some when they were clean. This place just opened, but it totally has the potential to be amazing! It's a huge newly renovated space, and I think they're going to do even more to the space. The Naan was the best, bar naan (see what I did there?) The curry was also super yummy. They also have housemade chocolate truffles wtf, so good. The service was quick, super friendly and way...comfy? Just a good vibe in the restaurant that is followed in suit by the food and service. The large garage windows that open up to the patio are especially nice, and fun for people watching. The drink menu also has you covered for whatever the weather is throwing our way for an SLC spring. I can't wait to come back here and try more foods. Weeeeeeee. read more

Lounge/restaurant/bar located right next to Himalayan Kitchen. Tons of "can be vegan" options on the regular menu and the tapas menu. The samosas were wonderful, as were the chickpea battered onions. this place is the worst. have denied me with my real ID and just denied both of my friends with passport cards. They are stingy and deny people who are not too drunk and say that they are. I do not recommend going here and suggest you go to every bar in salt lake before this bar. read more

So this place hasn't even officially opened yet, but it's an extension (sister restaurant?) of Himalayan Kitchen, same kitchen but they also have a full bar and tapas items! I ordered the "Peppered Daisy" drink and it's spicy/lime/amazing. The Moscow Mule is so fresh and delicious too! The servers are so nice here, the atmosphere is just lovely we sat at the patio-ish area which was perfect for this hot day. If you've had Himalayan Kitchen food then you already know how absolutely delightful it is! But I highly recommend the cheese naan and pretty much any of their curries! Basically you can't go wrong here. This will be my new favorite place. Can't wait to come back for the actually opening! read more

Awkward atmosphere, even worse bar service. Stood at the bar for 15 minutes without a bartender even glancing at me. When they closed the bar 5 minutes before 1 AM and I still hadn't gotten a drink, the bartender told me "tough s***". There are much better bars to spend your time at in SLC than this one. read more

I don't write negative reviews on yelp often but the handeling of a situation at Chakra Lounge last month that is still being investigated is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. On arrival with our group of friends, all of us in our late 20s to mid 30s, we witnessed a young lady who had CLEARLY been over served. This girl was grinding on and groping everyone she could get her hands on. Since we all saw how inappropriate she was acting, we initially distanced ourselves so that we would not get involved. As the night went on, this young lady got more and more inappropriate with other customers. After about 30 minutes of hanging out a few of us went out to dance. Within seconds of stepping on to the dance floor, this girl began to grab and grope two of my female friends. Obviously very uncomfortable, my friends told her several times to stop touching them and leave them alone. I understand that on a dance floor people are very close to each other, especially on weekends, but this bar wasn't even close to being full, and this was early in the night. The area around us was mostly empty, so there was no reason for this behavior. The young lady continued to grab and grope my friends and it even got to the point where we asked her friends to keep the girl away from us. All the while she was still going up to the bar and still continue to be served more alcohol. One of my friends was finally fed up after the belligerent young lady, grabbed my friend between her legs, and hit her in the face while flailing around. My friend threatened to get her kicked out and we even had a woman from another party come and try and pull the girl away. We were even confronted by the DJ who worked at Chakra, and even he asked the girl to stop. After all of this going on for WAY too long, I went to talk to the bouncer with my friend. My friend told the bouncer that his wife had been hit and groped by this crazy girl and she needed to be cut off and forced to leave. My friend, obviously unhappy after witnessing what happened to his wife, was angry, but calm when speaking to the bouncer. I was absolutely dumbfounded by the bouncers response which was immediately kicking the husband and wife out...now how does that add up? So of course I stepped in and told the bouncer about the everything that I'd witnessed going on. The bouncer then tells me I am now kicked out!?! Then, leading my girlfriend to try and close our tab so we could leave, we were stopped from walking back up to the bar and the bouncer began to yell at us to "GET THE F#*K OUT!" At that point our entire group of 8 people left the bar. After speaking with the police, we also found out that one of the bouncers was doing cocaine in front of another customer in the restroom. The fact that this place is even still in business appalls me! Shame on you for allowing this behavior Chakra Lounge! read more

Chakra lounge was the highlight of my trip. Tony is awesome and made me so feel welcome here. I was there on a Monday night and they had trivia with all different categories. the first time i went was awesome, however i was with a bunch of beautiful girls. almost positive that's why we were treated nicely. because the 2nd time i came, my male friend who came in first was barely 21 and given some bullshit excuse about barely being 21 and they can't accept him till a certain time, and that all of us, his friends, who were well over the drinking age could only have ONE DRINK. like what...???!!! (he was LEGALLY 21. like none of that i'm 21 after 7pm shit. we were there on the date of his 21st, something i did on my 21st!) we were almost turned away until the manager of this dude told him he can't do that to customers and to let us in and let us order whatever we wanted. now tonight i am quite frustrated because the SAME dark dark brown haired short bouncer, TWENTY MINUTES before last call, wouldn't let us in. he said they were closing... uhh well yeah you guys close at 1 am when last call is.. i handed him my ID and he said "no, like we're closing right now." i was so effing annoyed that all i said was "last call is 1 am, right?" i said that at 12:39 am. and before i slapped this man i decided to walk away. GET A NEW BOUNCER. THIS MAN IS STUPID AND RUDE. won't be returning till i see someone else at the door and i'll be passing that on to everyone i know. read more

The service was excellent..but I would say it's a stretch to give this place 5 stars when they are still not in ready restaurant mode. They serve alcohol, but they get their food from their neighboring/sister restaurant. So the food takes awhile to get to you. The food is good, and the prices are great. I would say it's a solid 4 star experience. The food and service is great, but there are still some kinks to work out and the restaurant is a work in progress. read more

Awful employees and management. If I could leave negative stars I would. Denied us service last night based on subjective judgement by their aggressive bouncer. Our group had to leave and on our way out an employee hit my friend in the eye by whipping a towel at him. We almost called the police because we felt assaulted. Tip to the management, don't be awful to your customers when they are trying to explain the situation that happened. They guided the employee out with five other guys cause they thought we were gonna gang up on him? Anyways, awful bar with bad vibe and terrible employees. read more
