I ordered for pickup from this location the person on the phone was nice and seemed to understand my order unfortunately one thing was wrong they gave us hot basil chicken instead of our appetizer. The hot basil smelled nice but was too Spivey for me while I'm nursing to eat although we paid for it. The food was ok the cream cheese may have been a bit sour like it was spoiling though in our puffs. After waiting for 5 min when we finally went and asked if we can sit anywhere, comment "you are welcome to sit anywhere but I will get to you when I can. I was pleasantly surprised at the food quality here. I ordered basil rolls and green curry. On par with many Thai places I've been in larger cities. The spice level was perfect. The atmosphere is on the downside for me. Cold wooden benches left over from the previous diner. My table had a metal bar causing me to be a good 2 feet away from my friends. Staff was helpful, patient and attentive. Definitely recommend and will come back next time I'm in town. read more

This restaurant is under new management and is excellent. We lived in Chicago for years and miss the great Thai food there. Wish Thai Kitchen reminds us of our favorites in Chicago. The Green Curry is excellent and full of fresh vegetables with a great coconut, lemongrass, and basil flavor. We also love the Pad Kee Mao - wide noodles, great veggies and just enough heat to make you think! We will be back often. Thanks to the new management for delivering a superb menu and a great value. I've been wanting to stop in here for a long time, spending countless minutes drooling over the online menu. I especially wanted to go here because it is one of only two or three restaurants that serves duck. I visited Wish Thai with a friend on a Wednesday, just before the dinner rush. We were seated right away. The restaurant itself is not fancy, decor-wise, but it is clean. I ordered the tamarind stir fry with duck, while my friend ordered the prik pow with chicken. Wouldn't you know it-- the server came back in a couple of minutes to announce that they had run out of duck. At least he was very apologetic about. I settled for a garlic stir fry with shrimp. Both entrees arrived fairly quickly. Each came with a side of jasmine rice. I was not disappointed with my "second choice" dish... the shrimp were big, plentiful, and succulent. Rice was perfectly cooked. Vegetables and sauce were yummy. My friend enjoyed his prik pow, with vegetables, cashews, chicken, and pineapple cooked in a sweet-but-spicy chili sauce. Excellent! I think this place is hit or miss. First trip here was good, service was nice and food was relatively good for the price. However my send trip I tried the curry and it was terrible, too salty.
