I had the pleasure of having Wisteria Grove as our florist for my wedding at Christmas House! Lori and Ashley were so helpful and kind throughout the whole process. Lori listened to all my concerns and my thoughts and I'm not sure how great the instructions I gave her were, but she was still somehow able to create all the florals exactly as I wanted them. She was also very understanding when I needed to postpone my wedding and I can't thank her enough for all she did! She even was able to work with me to save costs as well such as reusing my arch flowers for my sweetheart table, reusing the aisle runners for the centerpiece, she even provided me extra petals for my guests to throw as we walked down the aisle and it was amazing! I can't thank Lori and Ashley enough for making my wedding truly beautiful. The shop that they work out of is so quaint and adorable and I loved visiting it! Class Act! I had a bouquet of flowers delivered yesterday to my wife as an early Valentines present. She added water to them and when she got to work today about half the arrangement was wilted. First off their customer service is OUTSTANDING! They are truly so friendly and nice! However the reason behind the neutral rating is the order that was delivered wasn't what I was expecting. The price point is a little steep, however when I saw the bouquets on their other reviews I thought they were extremely unique and worth it. They give you a choice on what kind of boquete you'd like. I chose "bright and colorful", now maybe I was just expecting more flowers and less greenery. They are outstanding at their services I was just a tad bit disappointed with what I received as "bright and colorful". Also in their photos they have such EXOTIC BEAUTIFUL flowers and I feel as if mine was just basic flowers. I think you should definitely give them a try! I booked Wisteria Grove about 6 months before our wedding and the planning process has been easy. Since we lived out of state, all the planning was mostly via email and only a handful of times on the phone. Lori and her team were keen about what I wanted and they weren't nonchalant about their work either. Four months before our wedding, we met Lori for the first time and it was so refreshing to put a face to her voice. She was VERY professional and upfront about us being honest about what we wanted. She wanted to be sure everything we wanted fit our wedding plans. A month before our wedding, we had booked our flowers and confirmed the look and style and two weeks before the wedding, we saw photos and it was EXACTLY what we wanted. Lori was flexible, but also due to no weddings that day, to deliver our flowers early and make sure we knew how to care for them. I had high hopes for this florist company after seeing the beautiful flower arrangements. They were suppose to my wedding florist but COVID happened and it wasn't able to work out. When it came to Mother's Day this year it was an easy choice to use them biased off what I had seen. My mother just received her bouquet for Mother's Day 2022, I'm shocked and quite honestly embarrassed of the flowers that she received. Whenever I order flowers for someone I usually pick florist selection because they come up with some beautiful stuff. This however is sad.. this is what $78 got my mother plus a $20 delivery fee to the same city. This review is way overdue from a wedding on July 19, 2014. I highly recommend Wisteria Grove as a florist for any event. Heather provided the best customer and creative service. Having one less thing to worry about on your wedding day is such a relief, you can't put a price on it. Wisteria Grove was suggested by a wedding coordinator at the Mission Inn after discussing my initial ideas for our wedding. Our wedding flowers were important to me. I have witnessed so many wedding flower disappointments and disasters with family and friends. I was hoping from my experience, this wouldn't be the case for our wedding. I called and scheduled an appointment with Heather. My mother and I visited the shop and upon arrival, I was blown away by a beautiful arrangement of fresh green apples paired with complimenting flowers. I love nature, flowers and gardening. I was instantly inspired. We immediately hit it off, Heather is brilliant. We discussed our venue, colors, theme and ideas. I wasn't entirely "sold" on any of the photos I had gathered to show her. Something was missing. I couldn't put my finger on it. Nothing excited me. I explained to Heather the flowers I thought I wanted to include. She educated me on cut flowers and which do not work well for "wedding" situations, some which would not properly withstand the heat of July outside of water. I was surprised and appreciative as the year prior I was in a outdoor wedding who's table arrangements had entirely wilted by dinner. Extremely disappointed bride who invested a lot of money. I had decided on a direction of mixed flowers for myself and the wedding party. They table arrangements were to be determined. In the next month we attended a bridal open house at the Mission Inn. At the check in area, there was a beautifully decorated table with a range of cream flowers in mercury glass with candles. It looked like a fairy tale right out of a magazine. I asked a woman at check in who created the table arrangement and she told me Wistera Grove. Of course, I thought. I went in for a second consultation with Heather. In the weeks prior, I decided I was going to tell her to create whatever she envisioned and to scrap what we previously considered. After seeing the work in her books, the work at the venue and absorbing her knowledge as a florist, I trusted her. She is an artist and I knew she would create something unforgettable. I didn't want something copied out of a magazine. We talked about the color palette I wanted, the shapes and sizes of the bouquets. No hard shapes, natural looking. I left a box of heirloom brooches from Grandmother's on both sides of our families to include in my bouquet. We also discussed table arrangements. I chose mercury glass and requested to include fresh cut herbs on the tables, like we have frequently in hour home from our garden. Heather and I stayed in contact right up to my wedding day. I'll never forget how I felt when I saw my girls and my bouquet, breathtaking! The reception room was perfect as was the cake. I've included photos as proof. I used Wisteria Grove for my wedding in May at The Christmas House Inn and Gardens, and they were wonderful. I imagine I was their worst nightmare as I walked in saying, "I don't really like flowers, but understand their necessity in a wedding, and also I hate roses with the fiery passion of a thousand suns." Laurie was incredibly understanding and patient with us (me), her communication was excellent, she appeased my requests for flowers that "looked less like a flower," and was really excited about the centerpieces we were doing ourselves, and offered to bring a few pieces of stem to help give them a little more color. She was very logical, explaining what would and wouldn't work or look good without being judgmental or condescending and had tons of suggestions and new ideas for when what we wanted wouldn't quite work or we didn't know what it was that we wanted. Essentially, she's extremely knowledgable and good at her job, which is hard to find. The day of the wedding they were there early enough, all of the flowers were exactly as promised. I don't know how they wound up in the right place (I was the bride so I pretty much just let people do things on the day of), but they just appeared in their vases, looked lovely, they were nice and small and compact which is how I wanted them. The bud stems were placed perfectly, I don't know if they did that or The Christmas House did or if they did it together, but they were beautiful and I think they even brought a few extra. The flowers lasted well into the next day even mostly out of water. I would absolutely recommend them--its very hard to find people who are extremely knowledgable and good at their jobs, so I would certainly go here where you know the people are excellent! read more
