The room is very nice and clean with relaxing music playing in the background as well as nature sounds of water. The lights are dim to your level of comfort. You can remove as much or as little clothing as you like. I laid down on the comfortable table and waited for my masseuse. You can choose a male or female masseuse when you make your appointment. Laura came in and described what she was going to do. She asked if I had any areas on my body that were bothering me. I let her know my low back is an ongoing issue. I really appreciated that she asked me that and how much pressure I would like for the massage. I have to say, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She did a combo of deep tissue and Swedish massage all over my body and also focused more on my low back. The hot stones felt really good and the heat level was just right. Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. The room was calming with low, warm lighting while we undressed. It was mostly shut off during our massage. The music was also playing low. Very easy to let yourself relax here. She offers a customized facial based on your skin concerns, and the time she spends interviewing you and asking questions doesn't factor into the time spent on your facial! You can tell that she really cares about her craft. She discusses the ingredients in each of her products and what they aim to do. Her hands are so gentle as she works the product into your skin, she asks you about your skin concerns and also observes them herself. She always makes sure you're comfortable and her bed is heated and in an ergonomic shape for massages too!!! I left very refreshed and rejuvenated. I've heard loud conversations that felt like people were shouting across the space, cabinets slamming, and even staff walking around on speakerphone speaking loudly. While I was able to somewhat tune it out during previous visits, I recently brought a friend, and he was very unhappy with how noisy it was. People come in expecting a relaxing, and peaceful environment as that's the whole point of getting a massage. Unfortunately, the constant noise made it difficult to fully relax and took away from the overall experience. The place is small but adorable, and the massage rooms are so cozy and soothing. But the thing I absolutely adored the most about Martha was that she is willing and QUICK to listen to her clients, whether it be their concerns or requests. I told her something was too painful (just due to my sciatic muscle issues of at least six months) and she immediately took a break from the area to focus on something else. She listened to me throughout the whole thing and made sure to consult me about my history and how something felt or if her massage technique was doing what it should. I also have bacne and had leg stubble that I was fairly insecure of--Martha did not care. She worked through them both as if they were not there. I'll have to come back because the muscles are still messed up but it hurt too much to keep going--mind you, though, that's to be expected after being messed up for so long, and I was 50% looser walking out of the place. Went here on Father's day yesterday and was basically assaulted. Although these chair messages aren't advertised as deep tissue which confused me a bit. In any case, after about 20 minutes, he not only starts digging in more aggressively but is basically pounding me with his elbow and jabbing the back of my neck. I begin to feel a burn right below my shoulder and I start thinking maybe some hairs are getting rubbed out which can cause pinching sensations, mind you I don't have a very hairy back at all as you can see in the photos. I ask him to take it easy, frustrated with his overly aggressive methods. He begins to apply whatever cream they use and it stung like hell on both sides of my back. I told him to stop and take a photo of the area as it felt like my skin was being ripped off. He insisted it was hair being pulled. The photos only showed red irritated skin which is to be considered during messages but I knew something was off. I told him the session is over and that he is far too aggressive. Since I couldn't see any blood, I could only assume it may have been ripped out hair so I did pay for the time but told him I absolutely will not tip him. Once I get home, I take a shower and the warm water is burning my skin, at this point, it hurts to even lift my arm or bend over since it stretches the skin. I could barely sleep that night and sure enough, this morning, you can see skin literally broke and peeled away on both sides of my back. This guy assaulted me and needs to be removed from the profession!

Each of them has been really enjoyable, she offers you a hairbrush, hair tie, water bottle, and small chocolate/candy at the very end. It's also so easy to book appointments with her and communicate with her. She has a $30 nonrefundable deposit that comes with every booking! There have been times where the facials have been so relaxing that I just fall asleep. I prefer her more comfortable, private facials, as opposed to the larger-scale facial businesses that I have been to.
