The billing department is a scam. He - the Dentist- is NOT BOARD CERTIFIED. Not really sure why he is NOT rated by the Better Business Business Bureau..After oral surgery- he said he was sending in a prescription for pain medicine and antibiotics- NEVER DID- LEFT ME IN PAIN for 3 days- left MULTIPLE MESSAGES- NEVER RETURNED CALL..There are much better options. read more

Dr. Gedeon and his staff were incredible. My siblings and I all went there to get our wisdom teeth removed, and the process was seamless. High level of care shown and good direction given for the recovery process. I would like to share with you how an unfortunate experience when my front tooth broke off at my gum turned out well. I entered the office of Dr. Gedeon with much apprehension not knowing what I had ahead of me. It turned out I needed a bone graft, stent and implant. During the surgery Dr. Gedeon put me at ease by explaining every step he was doing and asking how I was doing. Also, he assistant Sergio realized how nervous I was and he along with the doctor made me realize I was in "good hands". I recommend this office to anyone. If I could give more than five stars I would. From the time you walk in to the time you walk out everyone is so friendly and caring. Belinda assisted in my wisdom tooth extraction and she is absolutely wonderful. She kept me calm and talked to me through out the surgery making sure I was okay. I am 18 weeks pregnant and they made sure to remove my back wisdom tooth right away. Squeezed me into their busy schedule. Dr. Gedeon was also very amazing he made sure I felt no pain during my surgery. He got my tooth out in less than 10 minutes it took longer making sure I was numb and ready. This was very bad experience for me by the billing department staff. They refused to explain the details about the difference between the original treatment plan and the final charge and hanged up on you when I talked to them. The procedure was 30mins for removal of wisdom teeth. The surgery went well within 25-30 minutes. I paid $458 surgical fee in front by signing off the treatment plan prior to the surgery. However. 4 months later, I received an additional $549 balance to pay and was told sorry that the original treatment plan was an estimation because it was beyond the insurance max $2000. The fact was they charged $4822 to the insurance ($248 was not shown in the original treatment plan). The insurance approved charge $2796 ($2576+220). They knew it would over $2000 by $796. They knew I should pay at least $796 and should let me know that. They did not tell me that. The treatment plan looks at a reasonable price when you compare it with other dentists. If they told me the price range, I could have done the teeth removal in a new year or separately to minimize my out of pocket. Be careful, there will be additional charge to follow! read more

Going to Dr. Gedeon's first time meeting the Staff from Lucy kind smile at the front desk to Thomas the assistant who was a gracious genital man. I was put at ease and shown concern for my fears met my with great respect and professional care from Dr. Gedeon. Then next morning I arrived worried again because it was show time have a tooth pulled Rosemarie the staff put me at ease! My friend who was my drive very gratefully to her Teddi who had been a nurse all her life told me that she was also impressed through out my treatment. Once I arrived, I received very warm welcome and lots of smiles from his courteous staff. Within a few minute, I was escorted to the exam room. Shortly after a small conversation, Dr. Gedeon started the procedure. The procedure was done quicker than I expected and I was home in no time. I had a lot less post-op pain than I expected. Dr Gedeon is awesome! His staff are very friendly and explain everything so kindly. The office is clean and neat. Exam rooms are a bit small but that was fine. I was a little nervous but Dr Gedeon was so warm and friendly he made me smile and feel so relaxed. He truly does care about my mouth, teeth and feelings. It's hard to find a Dr who truly cares like this guy! He comfortably pulled my wisdom tooth with no pressure or pain and recovery time was not bad at all. He is a wonderful and skillful dentist and a compassionate human being as well. At my age I have gone to dozens of dentists. I would rate him as one of the two best I have ever known. He has done three procedures for me flawlessly and with skill. He is also direct and honest. I once was referred to him by a Ridgefield dentist for an extraction, and after examining me, Gedeon refused to do it, saying the tooth could be saved. He was right: and it was saved by an another dentist. I referred my son to him and he extracted my 20 year old son's 4 wisdom teeth. My son had no pain during or after the procedure. My son's girlfriend went to her father's dentist for the same operation and was in great pain for days and took weeks to recover. My son would not go to anyone but Gedeon from now on nor will his partner. There is however, a problem with billing and money. The staff say he accepts an insurance company's rates and then in the end, not so much. As other reviews indicate the people handling the billing are not tuned into the ethos of the man. He needs to extend his compassion to his billing department, and if they are following out his instructions he needs to change the instructions. read more

My sister needed a tooth removed. We arrived at Dr. Gedeon's office and the staff was very helpful. They were able to fit her in and remove the tooth that was bothering her. They were all very friendly and helpful. We expected that we would only get an appointment and have to return another day, but they fit her. Dr. Gedeon was very nice and was able to remove the tooth without any trouble. We had been told by the dentist that sent us to Dr. Gedeon that it was going to be a difficult abstraction. I arrived at this location a bit skeptical as I had an horizontal extraction to take care. I was taken care by a lovely staff who does a great job in feeling you welcome and takes great professional care of your needs. They took an x-ray of my mouth using state of the art technology in a matter of seconds. Soon after doctor Wladimir Gedeon DDS came and did his thing and it was pure magic. At one point in the middle of the procedure I was even laughing. The guy is special and I can't praise him enough for his skills and professionalism. Dr. Wladimir Gedeon did a wonderful job on removing my wisdom teeth minus the fact that my bottom lip was numb from the Novocaine for about an extra 2-3 months. I went to see him last year of April 2014. After consulting with the staff --most seemed friendly, but also bored. With that I experience a little fear in what I was about to get myself into. My upper right wisdom tooth was bothering me so much and I had insurance at the time --so I decided--why not? I made sure that my insurance would cover most of the extraction, which they seemed to have had pre-approved on. I even waited for a whole month after the consultation to schedule my surgery. With that being said that gave them more than enough time to figure out if my insurance was RELIABLE. If not, I would have only gotten the upper right tooth out because that was the most painful one. A few months after recovery, I received a HUGE bill stating that I had to cover so and so % $$$ AFTER the fact they mention that I only had to pay so and so out of pocket--which i was ok about. Now that I received the bill, I have yet to pay because I think I have been SCAMMED by Dr. Wladimir Gedeon. I am not going to refer him to anyone not because of his practicing skills, but because his STAFF has failed to satisfy his clients. If I end up having to pay--which I probably will. I will make sure that his team receives this bad review and make sure that prospective clients will not get scammed like I did. That is all. read more

At a recent checkup with my regular dentist I found out I had to have a tooth extracted. I dreaded having to go through the procedure based on past experience. My dentist recommended Dr. Gedeon. this is one of the worst dentist I have ever been to. his indifference towards your pain borders on cruelty. H e had the nerve to tell me that I was not in pain when in fact I was in horrible pain. He also gave me a fungus on my tongue due to his lack of sterilizing his instruments. He is a danger to the profession and I would stay away from him. read more

I went to Dr. Gedeon's office and since my insurance didn't cover the services I was going to need, they were going to charge me a discounted rate for the services provided that day. I did have supplemental insurance they mentioned they could bill for me as a courtesy but I still had to pay for the whole consultation and xray at the time of service and if my insurance did reimburse them they would forward it to me. I was later informed through a letter from my supplemental insurance that they did reimburse the office directly. when I contacted the office for my reimbursement as agreed in the visit they said that it was their share for having offered my a discounted rate and if I wanted the reimbursement they would revert the discount to original charge and I'd still owe $155. I feel the staff was deceitful in their explanation and it was not the agreement we had initially. The doctor was great and attentive but the staff definitely lacks in customer service. read more
