We were referred to Wm. F Meyer through our remodeling contractor. The company has been a long-time entity in Naperville. This is not a walk-in establishment, you should have an appt. and use your referral connection. We worked with Diana G. She was very helpful. Recognize they have a nice selection in the showroom; it helps if you are a customer who knows or has an idea what you want as well as price rainge. Sinks, tubs, faucets and range in prices and types. Do you homework before you come and you will have a lovely experience. If you don't know where to start- look at online options before you get here, so you don't waste everyone's time and you become frustrated. Become an informed customer. Lastly, they delivered for us and worked with our kitchen contractor on sink specs and delivery timeframes. We have a very upscale look and would use them again. read more

Ask for Jorge in the Aurora location's plumbing supplies department. He is the best person in this place. When I went into the showroom, no one spoke to me or even acknowledged my presence. When I went into the parts department, no one spoke to me either until Jorge came in. He was courteous and helpful in finding what I needed. The following week, I needed a couple more items and called in advance to confirm they were in stock. I spoke with Rodney, provided my name and my plumbers's info, and asked him to pull the items for my pick up later in the day. When I arrived, Rodney was present and looking up something on the computer for another customer. Despite looking directly in my eyes, he did not acknowledge my presence or even say hello. He didn't even bother to tell me someone would be with me in a moment. He just acted like I wasn't there at all. Totally rude and unprofessional. Then, Jorge came in to the area and began providing assistance. I mentioned that I had spoken with Rodney earlier and requested the items to be pulled. That's when Rodney chimed in to acknowledge that he didn't pull the items or set up a ticket. Jorge then proceeded to assist me from scratch. It's like Jorge is the only employee with any sense of customer service or common courtesy. The only reason I went there is because my plumber recommends them. And the only person I would recommend at Wm F. Meyer Co. is Jorge. He is the only reason they are getting 3 stars instead of one star. read more

We bought from this company before visiting the Aurora showroom. The hours listed are 8am-noon on Saturday. Showed up at 8am. Showroom doesn't open until 9am. You can only get parts at 8am. Okay, so we waited. 9am we entered the showroom to a sign saying booked for the day. Nowhere on their website do they say "by appointment only" or when I called this morning did the man say "we open at 9am but you need to schedule an appointment." We never had to do that before on any Saturday we visited. They need clear information on their website. We drove 30 minutes for a wasted trip. Their loss. Our business for 3 bath remodels will go elsewhere with this experience. read more

Truly the worst customer service. We walked in on a Friday afternoon and I was the only customer in there. There were three woman in there and they were too busy chatting about their personal lives to help us. We tried to ask a question and they were annoyed couldn't wait to get away to go back to chit chat about their lives. Did not have any courtesy to explain the differences between the products. Do not buy from Wm. Fm Meyer. My contractor called for an estimate for a water heater model the day before picking it up. When he arrived at the Aurora location, the staff charged my contractor $200 more than the quoted price over the phone. Prices are not listed online so they can play this game of overcharging when the item is picked up. The $900 price is higher than other suppliers for the same model. Wm. F. Meyer is just gouging contractors and not honoring their price quoted over the phone. I will never buy from them. Beware!! Get something in writing or buy from someone else. read more

I went to this plumbing supplies site in Aurora to buy 2 copper pipe Tees. They gave me regular Tees even though I specifically asked for slip fittings. As it turned out, they do not sell slip TEEs. They ignored my specification. When I returned them, they made no apology for blowing me off. Also they charged 163% and 79% more for the same fittings I bought at Lowes (which also did not have the desired ones). (I will use slip/repair couplings instead) read more

Bought a bath tub, shower fixtures and other parts to renovate my bathroom. They didn't provide everything that I needed so the contractor I hired had to make a trip to explain everything to them, and purchase additional parts. Basically, I had to pay the contractor for extra time because this supplier failed to even try to cover the bases properly. In the end, I had to buy and use pieces from two different packages (paying full price for both) and got left with remaining parts that I didn't need because they didn't give me what I asked for in the first place. read more

We were doing a bathroom remodel. 10 years prior we did a whole house remodel and used Meyer for all our plumbing supplies. This time I looked at Home Depot and Menards and was confused by what faucets came with valves and finish kits and other things needed to complete the project. I finally went to Meyer showroom in Aurora, knowing what we wanted. I was greeted and helped quickly and walked out 30 minutes later knowing I was going to get everything needed. PLUS the faucet was cheaper than buying from Home Depot. read more

If you are in need of high end plumbing fixtures and are looking for a close showroom, drive a few extra miles past this Aurora location and go to Ferguson's in Downer's. you will be happy to give your hard earned money to a company who acts like they want it. We were not greeted, even though my sister and I were the only customers in the store. Not one of the three saleswomen introduced themselves. It was over an hour before the showroom closed but you would have thought that our desire to purchase a standard under mount stainless sink, was an improbability. Maybe a thousand dollar sale means nothing to a company dealing with builders and contractors. But customer service is important to consumers. Recently remodeled my bathroom and purchased fixtures from Aqua Sulis. They delivered a bathroom sink in the wrong configuration and a toilet minus an essential part. They did correct the problem with the sink but I am still waiting on the toilet part. read more

A friend recommended this place to me. I ordered all my bath remodel stuff from them and they were way cheaper than the box stores. My plumber ordered the wrong part and they were able to get a replacement part out ASAP so the job could get done fast. Will use again. read more

" Their posted hours on Saturday for their showroom is until 2 pm. The plumbing counter closes at 12 pm. However, the showroom does not stay open until 2 pm. The first time I visited their Aurora showroom, it was 1:45 pm and the lights were already being turned off. A customer who arrived after me but before 2 pm was turned away. On another occasion, my husband arrived at 1:50 pm on Saturday and the showroom was already dark and locked. He called from outside the showroom and the call went to voice mail. Except for the fact that I've already made my purchase, I will not be patronizing your business in the future. If they don't want to be open on Saturday until 2 pm, they should change their posted hours so they don't waste other people's time. read more

I would just like to really say how helpful the lake bluff location is. I was in there not to long ago trying to find a commercial water heater. The counter guy by the name of Harry really helped me out a bunch. He got everything I needed and then some. I will definitely be sending all my plumber friends to that location. If I was the manager I would give him a raise or some kind of appreciation, he really out did himself. And not just Harry the rest of the guys there are great to. read more

As I contractor, I work hard to build good relationships with my supply houses. I also make sure that my bills are always paid on or before the 10th of every month. However, Meyer Co. has made it abundantly clear that they do not want my business. Every time I call, the receptionist informs me that the warehouse staff is too busy to help. I politely ask to be put on hold and I usually get attitude for asking to hold. I then get informed that the warehouse staff will be busy for awhile and offered their voicemail. I always decline voicemail as the staff does not check it. I usually opt for email as Joe will return that method faster. That all being said, my most recent experience truly infuriated me. While waiting on hold, I walked into Meyer Co. and got to opportunity to hear the receptionist talking to Joe at the counter about me. She said and I quote, "she is still holding on the line. And she it actually being nice today." I then hung up, as I was standing at the counter. Needless to say, as a contractor who used to do $70,000+ in business with this company, I feel that the staff should be more courteous. However I don't feel that will ever happen, as I've also had Rod, the store manager, attack via phone before I had even left the parking lot one day. When I asked him to come talk to me face-to-face, he ended the phone conversation. I highly recommend NOT purchasing from this location. read more

This is in response to the 3/19/2011 post..... I am responsible for the Meyer company's Aquae Sulis showrooms, and I can assure you that our showrooms operate at the hours posted on the doors at each of our locations. No company is any postion to turn away customer or not give great service. We are not an exception to this. I personally helped this customer when she walked in AFTER 2 o'clock, helped her with a faucet selection and purchase. The day in question two weeks later her husband was NOT at our location before 2. I lock the doors myself and did not leave until 2:30 that day. I dont work in the dark so lights are not turned off until we leave. I encourage all readers to come see our great showrooms. Further more I ended up delivering this customers exchange myself the following day after getting a voice mail that she ordered the incorrect faucet. There was no post from her talking about us going the extra mile to help them. read more

I really wanted to like them but they didn't give me the opportunity. The first time I went into the showroom I was greeted by a very nice sales woman and she gave me a lot of material to look through for fixtures to fit an entire master bath remodel. When I went the second time and asked for her I found out that she no longer worked there. The product that I was told would be coming in for display purposes never did appear in the showroom. I just didn't find the sales force there eager to assist me with my purchase. I was left to wonder around and left with no conclusions. I did end up ordering the plumbing fixtures from them through the Glen Elyn store and the order has been wrought with problems. They have potential to be really great, but they need to work on their customer service skills. There are some good competitors out there, so they need to hone their skills if they want to stay ahead. read more
