We were vacationing at the lake and ordered carry out here: yellow curry and broccoli stir fry. Pros: the person taking our order was very friendly and accommodating, helped customize our order; they offer a delicious red/brown/black rice option for an additional charge; the curry was tasty; our dishes were not drowning in oil; and the order was ready when we arrived for pickup. Cons: While the curry had a good taste, it was extremely dry, lacking in sauce. (I think usually curries are more soupy.) The broccoli stir fry was in a thick, dark brown, gravy like sauce that really coated the veggies, we definitely needed more veggies and less gravy; the serving size was disappointingly small, especially for an evening entree that cost over $15 each. It looked more like a lunch sized meal. Each entree comes with either crab rangoon, spring roll, or egg roll. We didn't want any of these, I'd rather pay less and not have it. Best meal i've had at The Lake, and I never would have found it without yelp! Wok N Roll is located very close to the Bagnell Dam in the older part of the touristy area. I used GPS to find the restaurant and even when I was parked right next to it, I had a hard time finding it. It looks unassuming, but Wok N Roll is not to be missed! I ordered a stir fry type dish with chicken, garlic and greens. The food was fresh, light and flavorful. They also serve brown rice upon request. The portion size was filling but not overly so. The family who runs the restaurant was present the evening I dined, and they were very friendly. Next time I'm at The Lake, Wok N Roll will be at the top of my list. Be aware that they've extended their hours 'til 8:00 p.m., so you don't have to have a very early dinner to enjoy their delicious food! read more

Hands down some of the best Thai I've had in a long time. My fiancé's uncle took us there because he comes here every time and wow it did not disappoint. They recently expanded the lot which I think they are not used to yet. The server was kind of lost, like she couldn't handle more than the 3 tables they had previously. Three of us stopped in for a bite. It was off season for this lake area so we were the only ones in there at 5:30 on a Monday. Got Thai potstickers app. It was OK. Five pieces, $7.50. Two of us got curries and I got a Thai noodle dish. $12.00. One curry was $15.00 because the beef is more than chicken and up-charge for brown rice. They were also OK but lacked the flavor punch I'm used to. All in all is is passable. The most annoying thing is the server asked how we want the dishes (mild, spicy, etc) then would not let us order spicy. Instead she brought out some dried chilies. It should be 7 stars! This is a hidden gem in the Osage Beach area. Food was top notch Thai and very fresh and authentic. Small quaint place in a touristy area. Hubs had a Yellow curry something and I had the Thai BBQ Pork. The house brown/red rice blend was worth the extra $1. For an app we tried the Lumpia (basically a spring roll with beef), Tasted very fresh and house made. Worth finding these guys and the extra fuel to get there. read more

Wok and Roll continues to hold its #1 place in my heart and stomach nonetheless. Nok, the owner and chef is a native and puts great passion and creativity into her meals. I was craving Thai food but thought the chances of finding some at the lake would be slim; that was until Yelp helped me find this little place!! Boy was I in for a treat!! First of all the server treated me like I was the only person in the room! She went through the menu with me discussing different options (telling me they are known for their Pad Thai) I decided to get the Beef Salad w a side of rice noodles to soak up all that yummy sauce, I also had the lumpia (basically a crispy spring roll filled w tasty seasoned beef) and the crab Rangoon. The Beef Salad was one of the best I've ever had, and I eat Thai food a A-LOT! The lumpia all I have to say is O-M-G!! Soo good! The crab Rangoon was just ok in my opinion; but the house made sauces are AMAZING!!!! There is a green sauce with cilantro and lemon but that is all the waitress would tell me; she said it was a secret (boy would I love to be in on that little secret!! I would put it on everything!). The house made red chili paste is also very good!! We ate at more expensive places while at the lake but non better. I have been to Bangkok and other places around the world but can't say I have eaten better Thai food. All spices are put together by the Thai owner in house and don't have MSG in them because they said so and I didn't fall asleep on the way home( that's what MSG does to me, ZZZZZZ). The flavors were great and the serving sizes are large. Buy the way, the Stripe where this is located seems to be on it's way back ever so slowly. When we arrived there is only one server & one cook and it's a Saturday, wait about 40 minutes for our food and is terrible. We ordered Fried Rice(no taste at all & way too much oil), Pad Tai (super sweet & way too much oil) and Noodle Soup (no taste at all). This is not even close to a legit Thailand food, I literally have no idea why others are giving such a high review for this place. Actually by looking at the review you can tell lot of them are PAID fake review, no wonder people prefer Trip Advisor more than Yelp. We came here by Yelp recommendation. The restaurant is not fancy at all, but the service was great, and then the FOOD was SO fresh, it may be the best Thai Restaurant in the Midwest. The Moo Ping pork appetizer lacked flavor and was so overcooked, it was the consistency of beef jerky and basically inedible (but our dogs enjoyed it). I will preface my review by saying the food here is decent. We've been to this restaurant several times and have generally enjoyed our visits. However, there are sometimes quality control issues. Dishes often come out at vastly different times rather than delivering the meal to the table all at once, leaving some members of the party without food while everyone else eats. The tofu I ordered today was hard as a rock and clearly burned on the outside. I couldn't even bite into it - it was literally inedible and had to be taken off the bill. Food was good. I'll give them that. But I was the first person to order at my table which means my order was the first on the ticket. Everybody got their food and finished and I still never got my food. Waitress said they were working on it and then I see her tell the cooks 10 minutes later that I'm missing my dish. Why not tell them right when we tell you I'm missing my food? And as a waitress, how do you see an entire table of people eating their food and one person just sitting there and not think "oh maybe I should check on their food"? I had to tell them I was still waiting. And then another waitress tries to come out and say all the food came out. Um no I think I'd know if I got my food. Had to end up eating other peoples leftovers and cancel my order because even after telling them I was missing food, they were too focused on other tables orders and to go orders. This is as good as it gets, no lie! We know when we show up their may be no seating in the original room, but we don't care. We will either wait or got in their new room in "the back".
