Located on historic Bagnell Dam Strip, this restaurant blends in to the store front lineup, appearing to be plain and subpar, but far from it. It is small, with a local "diner" feel, but provides fare with excellent Thai flare. The owner was very friendly, expressing deep knowledge of food's natural qualities, particularly the Ginger Tea made fresh in-house from the ginger root. Had a rich, sweet ginger flavor with that spicy ginger taste. The noodles & vegetables in our main dishes were prepared perfectly, veggies fresh and tasteful. Dumplings were very good. For the lake of the ozark, I was expecting food like this. It is very solid thai food.

Although my appetizer (beef salad) was unique and fresh, the entree ruined it for me. I chose (what considered to be) a healthy option of chicken broccoli with brown rice. The overcooked slop they served me had maybe 4 pieces of broccoli and enough sauce for 4 people. The sauce (gravy) is more like a frozen Asian dinner than fresh Thai. Susie Wong has fresher dishes in the freezer section. Alas, it was pretty evident these veggies came from a freezer of their own as it tasted like old deep freeze. read more

This "Chinese" restaurant is more of a Thai infused Chinese spot. This has to be by far one of the best Asian spots we have ever been to. We went with some family who are locals here and know the owner pretty well. The owner is great and will get your goat as often as possible lol This place is like walking into her kitchen at home and her cooking it for you. I got the Nok's famous fried rice, I had asked her what the difference between that which is one the Thai menu and the Cisar's fried rice was, that it was her own recipe and you would never find one like it. Boy was she right, It was so good and the kicker was it had curry in it. I'm not a fan of curry but this was so good and very well made. Nothing was frozen or premade in this place. Hubs got the General Chicken, she told him it would be the best he ever had. It was! you can choose your level of heat, he said he wanted spicy, she told him, I will make it medium, since you have never been here and she wants to hook him to want to come and eat more. The sauce had a hint of honey, the heat came on the back end of the bite. Although. not as hot as he would of liked. The owner makes her own sauces that are on the table, no kikkoman sitting out with duck sauce packages. There was jalapeno sauce and a habenaro chutney-esk sauce. He ended up adding that to the dish for heat reasons. He says it was the most excellent Generals ever. One of our family members got the yellow curry, she says she tries a new dish every time she has been here and loves every single one of them. She has it seems every kind of curry. I was told she picks her own herbs and uses whats local,fresh and in season. So, what you get today you may not get in six months. The egg rolls were probably the best Ive ever had. We got takeout from Wok N Roll. When I called, the person who took the order was quite friendly and offered suggestions when asked. It took less than fifteen minutes for our food to be ready. We had crab rangoons, which were large and good. With our entrees, we tried a spring roll and an egg roll. Both were good and standard fare. We ordered their house specialty entrees: chicken fried rice and chicken pad Thai, with high heat. Both were delicious and had great flavor. The pad Thai was incredible. There is a bit of sweetness to it that is unlike most others that I have had. (You can choose the level of heat for the dishes. I may go with medium next time since I was drinking a lot of water with high heat.) For dessert, we had sticky black rice with sesame seeds and coconut milk. (Trust me, it tastes better than it looks.) I was going to purchase a bottle of Thai iced tea from their cooler, but it was suggested that the house made Thai iced tea is better for the same price. That was the correct call. It was large and delicious. We ate every bite of the meal. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. I highly recommend trying it. read more

We went here because of the high reviews the restaurant had received. I ordered the Pad Thai because it had received glowing reviews and my husband ordered the pork teriyaki. However, we felt the food was just okay overall. The spring rolls were enjoyable but the main dishes didn't excite us. Additionally we had a couple of gnats swarming our food that we swatted. The staff were friendly but didn't go out if their way to see how we were enjoying our food once we received it. Lastly, when we were paying to leave we also didn't receive much thanks or a check in. This place is awesome! I used to get takeout from here due to limited seating, but the expanded dining area gave us the opportunity to have a sit down meal. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and asked for it very spicy. My husband had the Pad Thai with pork, medium heat. Both were spiced perfectly. The spring rolls were good and the sweet jalapeno sauce and ginger and pepper sauce were wonderful compliments to the rolls. The Pad Thai was very good. I was able to purchase a container of the ginger and pepper sauce to take home and I will put it to good use. The service was also very good. Had a chance to stop in here on Wed early evening. I had previously read great reviews and was excited to give it a try! A sweet young lady waitress helped me with some suggestions. I tried the Thai iced tea and actually laughed out loud when it arrived in a Giant glass! That's how we do drinks in the Midwest lol. It was the sweet and delicious tea drink I have enjoyed at other Thai places just larger! I also had the pot stickers which were the best I have ever had they were fried but not socked in grease, they had a nice crisp to them and were sitting on a dark soy sauce/sweet and sour sauce that was tasty, I also added the intriguing green sauce from the table to it and wow loved the green sauce! I asked what it was and a gentleman there told me Love, lol, then he said garlic and jalapeños! Brilliant fresh green color and amazing taste so fresh! I also had the signature dish the Nok's fried rice even though fried rice isn't my favorite dish. It was very pretty and tasty with lots of fresh basil and crispy peppers. A lovely dish though next time I will try something else bc I want to try it all! Overall a very nice experience!
