We just got soda and my wife wanted her spicy garlic edamame. She brought our drink and edamame quick. My wife ordered the Salmon and made it into a dinner meal so it would come with miso soup, salad and brown rice. I got the Mongolian beef and asked for Jasmine rice. Our food took some time to come out, the miso soup and salad came out quick. My wife like the soup but not the salad, I tried it too and they just drenched it with dressing so not good. This was when Natalie went to refill my wife drink and when she came back, it didn't taste like a coke. I tooked multiple attempts to flag her down and she didn't believe me at first that the coke tasted weird. So she didn't even take it and said she'll bring a new one and I also asked for a refill on mine. She came back and said the people in the back is replacing the coke tank since it's emptied. My Mongolian beef was delicious and they were generous with the portion. I loved my dish, my wife salmon also came out but she didn't really like. With kids growing up and families moving further away, it just gets harder to bring everyone together for the holidays. This year I was able to find a small window where most were available to make the drive to come together. So as our Christmas gift to the family, the husband and I decided to take everyone to Wokano. We reserved 3 weeks ahead and requested the room in the back. Although this was accommodated, they didn't appear to be staffed properly. Our server was Salyna who let us know as we got seated that she was also taking care of the bar. She handled our orders well enough and the food was great. However, drink refills had to be requested and came out quite slow. The table was not cleared as we transitioned from the appetizers to the main dishes. This was family style dining. The food runners would push the empty appetizer and sushi plates over as they placed the large bowls of entrees on the table. At one point a small bowl of tentsuyu from the tempura appetizers was knocked over and ran down the table to my little niece's Christmas sweater. The food runner apologized and said he would bring over some extra napkins -- he never did so her Mom just took her to the restroom. That was when I got up and started clearing the table myself. My family joked that they would make sure to tip me well. :) Overall we appreciated that Salyna did her best. She simply needed more support. The only thing that saved this place was Jocelyn the bartender/server. Tim M, the "manager" was incompetent. We ordered a simple menu item change, sub shrimp for the chicken in a honey Chicken dish. A Honey shrimp with walnuts was on the menu but everyone knows that's a different sauce! The kitchen tried 4-5 times to give us the sauce with Mayo and condensed milk rather than the spicy soy ginger honey glaze. They kept failing. We sent back several times and Tim the manager said sotrry that's what you get. Now I'm convinced they were F**king with us thru Jocelyn. We loved this place and were so happy with the special honey chicken, we even asked to bring the special and they put the gross sauce on that so they could say it was us. For $6 more you can turn each plate into a dinner which includes either hot & sour soup or miso soup, white or brown rice, and salad which is a pretty good deal. The portions were definitely shareable. The miso soup was tasty I just wish the serving included less seaweed. The spicy shrimp was a 2/5 in heat level but the flavor was very good! For years, this place continues to have one of the best happy hour menus in Santa Clarita. The calamari surprisingly was cooked well, not overly chewy with a pretty light batter. Baked crab handrolls were packed with creamy immitation crab. The smoky sunset roll had a good proportion of salmon to cream cheese with a thin outside batter. The portion of spicy tuna crispy rice is so good for the amount they give. My only complaint is that most if not all of the happy hour menu items are fried or contain fried items. I wanted to update my review after finally hearing back from Wokcano about the severe food poisoning I got after eating here. I was violently sick for days -- not just "a little off," but genuinely unable to function. The only thing I ate that my wife didn't was the salmon sushi. I reached out to let them know what happened, not to demand anything outrageous, but just to report a serious issue. Their response? They told me all their "procedures and protocols" were followed, so basically it couldn't have been them. Because, of course, if the paperwork looks good, nothing bad ever happens, right? They also said it was "odd" that I got sick since the item is popular, which was a nice way of implying they didn't really believe me. Then they offered me a $15 credit, which wouldn't even cover the item that made me sick, let alone the Pedialyte and days of hell afterward. And since I told them I don't feel safe eating there again, they repeated the same offer and said that's all corporate will authorize. So the takeaway is: As long as the temperature logs look perfect, your actual experience apparently doesn't matter. I wasn't expecting a parade or a settlement, just basic acknowledgment and a reasonable resolution. Instead, their tone was dismissive, defensive, and honestly kind of insulting. My family (party of 4) recently visited Wockano for the first time in several years. While the food itself was quite good, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing, leaving us unlikely to return soon. First, we were disappointed by the strict Happy Hour policy. As we had our children with us, we were required to sit in the main dining room, which made us ineligible for the happy hour specials. This felt needlessly restrictive. Second, the service execution was poorly organized. Our entrees came out while the table was still completely full of appetizer plates we were actively eating. There was no room, and it felt like the kitchen and servers weren't communicating. This issue of cleanliness and maintenance was a recurring theme throughout the visit. We noticed several maintenance issues: a large tear in my leather booth seat, damaged window tint on the front door, broken parts on the men's urinal, and exterior windows and walls that were noticeably filthy with bird droppings. Even a bowl of soup was served with the exterior covered in an unrelated sauce. Wockano's food is good, but the restaurant is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and a complete interior/exterior update. read more

As a party of 4 we were seated as soon as we walked in on a Sunday afternoon around the lunch rush hour, which was surprising! We were waited quickly as well with enough time to look at their vast menu and also got our food quickly as well.
