Beautiful plating & the flavors were even better
    Courtney P.

Sad to say after a long time of not coming here, it seems like the reviews saying quality and service have suffered are indeed correct unfortunately. We were sat pretty quickly by a very unenthused hostess, but then nothing- for a good 10-15 minutes. Once we saw our waiter Eric, we ordered drinks and rolls right away and then again, nothing. He kept randomly passing by but ignoring us. No updates. Sometimes we wouldn't see him for a while. Eventually the gyoza but still no eel sauce or drinks. Another 5-6 minutes goes by and a man (not our server) randomly literally keeps fast walking past our table dropping ginger and wasabi, like quickly. Then our drinks, but then has to get straws. Then 10 minutes go by and our server brings out my partners roll. A few more minutes. He apologizes for the delay, but yet disappears again. Then finally eel sauce. Then we can eat. By this time my gyoza is cold, the drink is watered down, and we are like "what is going on??" there was literally 4 tables. 9 people in the section. I was just astounded. We wanted to ordered more for happy hour but at this rate it would've been over by the time we got the food. I did order the soy garlic chimking wings to-go and by the time he brought that and our check, those were also cold. The ordeal to get the bag and boxes...don't even get me started!! I've never seen this place struggle this bad. And as you see in my previous reviews, I had nothing but good things to say and we ordered a lot more then! The rolls sat up on the sushi counter for QUITE a minute before being taken. I don't know if Eric was having an off day or what but it wasn't as busy as I've seen it. Unfortunately probably won't be back soon! Sorry!

Hardly any crunch on a roll that's literally called an "Albacore Crunch Roll"

I feel like this place has gotten cheaper and cheaper with the quality of service and food. The service has been so bad and slow that we decided to get an order to go recently. When I picked up the order I opened the box and my rolls looked so small. I ordered an Albacore Crunch Roll along with a Sun-kissed Roll. When I asked the gal at the front for more "crunch" she had to go to the sushi bar to get it and it took forever. When the other hostess came by me she asked "did you get your crunch yet?" I said "not yet" she replied to me "did you pay for it?" I said "nope" and she said "well they are yelling to the hostess u need to pay extra for it." I said "nope" and as soon as the girl came to give to me I grabbed it and walked away. As you can see in my pic they hardly gave me any crunch. So don't call a roll an "Albacore Crunch Roll" if you want to skimp on the crunch smh ‍ It's just sad I used to love coming here but last few times it's been not good :(

    Happy Hour!

Tons of Happy Hour options (even on Fridays!), and good food. We loved the rose roll (pictured), chicken wings, and gyoza. The bar has a nice vibe and was busy but well taken care of. The staff was attentive and helpful in their food and drink suggestions. Who can go wrong with $2 beer and $2 hot sake?

    Definitely NOT everyday

We love the happy hour here, but we went on Valentine's Day only to find out they weren't honoring their happy hour pricing because of the "holiday" despite their website saying it is Everyday 3pm to close.

Hanging out in the Santa Clarita area and stumbled across Kabuki. My 4th location and noticed quickly that while the food is pretty consistent at each restaurant, there are different services and specials between them. This location has an Happy Hour every day of the week. I loved that and took full advantage. Ordered a couple of margaritas and a few rolls. The atmosphere was quiet, clean and a similar look to other locations. I had a great experience

Apparently this is green tea ice cream.....absolute joke.

Honestly, screw this place. I ordered online and had my bf pick it up. It took an HOUR past pickup time. Which was already an HOUR out. So he had to wait 2 fricken hours. Then he ordered ice cream on the side because I just had my wisdom teeth removed and wanted ice cream and miso and I got a ball of crap. Literaly ball of soggy crap. What the hell IS THIS? THIS was $60??? I am never ever eating here again. Thanks for ruining my night!!!!

We ordered grilled yellowtail collar, it was overcooked and as the result -too dry. The salad wasn't fresh. Disappointing

What is going on with their phones I can never call in for a pickup order, I keep getting a busy signal. It's extremely frustrating. I have tried multiple times in a day and have had this happen last two different times I tried calling as well?

The best way to place a pickup order is to do it online. It's very easy and you can pick your time for pick up and you can add or change things when you order. It's the only way. The best part is you can use a card and put whatever tip you want…

And a quick search from Yelp reminded me that we were here last time! I guess they are still attractive. This place felt like it was run by the Vietnamese, as all hosts and servers spoke Vietnamese to each other. The menu is as extensive as before, 2 full pages of rolls! One page is the standard ones, like the Lion King, sumo rolls, 49er's, and the other page is their special rolls. Unlike last time that we tried a bunch of their special appetizers (and they are still the same on the menu), we tried the rolls and bento this time and I think I like that more. We ordered the Teena roll, the Gilbert roll, an order of salmon roe sushi, a side order of chicken fried rice, and a tempura bento. The rolls tasted good, soft and slightly chewy in the mouth with a blend of all the sashimi and crab meat and sticky Japanese rice. The tempura bento was sumptuous! It came with a bowl of miso soup, a bowl of white rice, 4 or 5 pieces of gyoza, a salad, cucumber, a pre-cut orange, and 8 or 9 pieces of tempura of a variety. My least favorite is probably the salmon roe sushi as I wish the roes look bigger and more orange-y. Service was great. Although we were told they were busy and we might have to wait a bit, food started to come in less than 5 minutes! We didn't get a water refill but the glass of water was big. Dirty dishes were taken away timely too. I've been abused by the Bay Area exorbitant prices for a long time, it was such a pleasure to see rolls priced at $15. So overall, it was a good dinner in town.

I could truly write a novel about how much I enjoy this restaurant. As someone who regularly comes…read morehere for sushi, I've had the opportunity to try different items on the menu throughout the years. I fully trust everything coming out of here will be high quality and delicious. When I say I have legitimately been begging Chef Tim for YEARS to offer an omakase experience, I truly mean YEARS. Well, it was a random Wednesday and I found myself wandering in for dinner. Because it was a little early (5:30pm), there were no other customers seated (toward 6:15pm it started getting busy though!) . I gladly took the opportunity to once again beg Chef Tim to do a makeshift omakase experience for my partner and I. I was overjoyed when he agreed since it was on the slower side. He knows our order, and is familiar with our taste preferences, so I completely trusted him. I was super excited to watch Chef Tim be in his element, allowing him to be creative and make something he wouldn't necessarily have time for on a busy day. His passion truly shines in his craft and I knew this was going to be quite an exciting experience. Chef Tim's makeshift omakase experience included: halibut with truffle oil, cripsy rice with toro and caviar, miso chilean sea bass, a trio of seared items including scallop, aburi toro and peppered salmon, Blue fin akami, salmon belly and yellowtail belly, a pickled radish roll with Bluefin tuna, salmon yellowtail, and avocado and the A5 wagyu with uni. He also made secret menu items such as deep fried scallops, maguro yamakake, and my newest favorite which was the "fish taco." The "Fish Taco" was a deep fried garlic red snapper over creamy spicy tuna. I really did enjoy each and every dish he selected for us. I couldn't even begin to rank them because they were all fresh, delicious, served at the perfect temperature and paired well with one another. He did a great job at spreading out raw with deep fried, for a great balance of flavors and textures. (I'm still wishing that he would offer an omakase experience one day - he absolutely killed it!). I was pleasantly surprised by the A5 Wagyu with uni, "Fish Taco" and the the seared trio. It's funny because if you were to ask me I'd say I LOVE raw fish, so the fact that these three stood out to me really surprised me. Another thing is, I would never gravitate toward beef at a sushi spot, but I was thoroughly impressed with how well the flavors infused together. I knew they offered it on their menu, and like I said before, I thoroughly trust them, so if I was going to go out of my element it would be here. Another thing that I wanted to mention was that you can special order a whole sushi cake! While we didn't pre order one today, we had it in the past and it's also one of my favorite items. It consists of salmon and ikura on top with rice, masago, and imitation crab inside. I'd much prefer this over a real cake any day! Overall if you've stayed with me for this long, then you can probably already tell that I'm the self proclaimed President of the Ananto fan club. I'm just really sorry to my partner's wallet because I keep adding more and more new foods we just HAVE to order every time we go ;).
