This is one of the grossest rest areas. Find another location, unless you are desperate. Old, creepy, dirty! Somebody in the state should improve rest stops in the area for travelers. Horrible! Nobody is spot checking this location, who manages this? Terrible! read more

Nasty! I am shocked by this Indiana rest area. In my entire life, this probably ranks as one of the nastiest restrooms in the U.S. The sink and faucets looked like they were easily 50 years old -- grimey, pockmarked, and worn. It looks like a relic. I'd imagine that the prisons in this state have nicer toilets and sinks. Indeed, my son said he observed green mold on the back of the toilet. In short, you won't find a porcelain palace here. But, if you have to go, I get it. Still, it is so nasty that, if I lived in Indiana, I would be embarrassed that this place exists. read more

Came here for the same reason everyone else stopped here and that was to stretch out and use the facilities. It's a quiet place but everything here is all outdated. Many amenities in the bathroom were not working either. The whole place reeked of this musty, moldy odor as well. Outdoor amenities are great, especially the vending machines which are supposedly the cheapest according to the sign. read more

The whole building reeks of what may be raw sewage or just old fecal matter. Even my husband complained of the smell! Avoid unless you're desperate! The toilets work but are all stained brown from rust. This rest area needs to be torn down and rebuilt asap. Unfortunately there are no more rest areas after this one (heading north) Indiana should get this fixed now. A state embarrassment! read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. This and the one across the highway the other direction are probably some of the grossest rest areas I've ever stopped at.. Let's start with the smell , it's really ran down. The stalls were in poor condition, toilet paper container doors broken off on the foot, toilet paper ripped to shreds all over, well water stained (orange from rust) sinks, enough said? This place is absolutely disgusting!!! Rolling into the parking lot we were met with a distinctive foul odor. Upon entering the facilities, it was clear where the odor was coming from. My main gripe is that one of the vending machines took my money and wouldn't give it back. No water and no money. The restroom doesn't smell or look great. Three of the four soap dispensers were marked Out of Service. Seriously??? read more

After you enter Indianapolis on HWY i65 North you will experience the worst rest area... it kept getting worse as I move along the highway! It has horrible smell! Very outdated! Stain everywhere! The water stink very much! Everything is so so FREKIN GROSSS! I mean common yo! We pay toll and have this services! I think you don't have any option when you gotta to go... the smell and place will gross you out in no time! You are better off Gas Station! read more

This rest area was a nice pit stop from our drive from Indy back to Chicago. Bathrooms are clean, there was a big grassy area in front for pets and kids to run around, and there were also nice picnic tables to sit at and catch the fresh Indiana breeze. :) I liked looking at the windmills in the distance, too. :) read more

I needed to use the bathroom and figured going to a rest area would be quicker and more painless than exiting to find a gas station. DO NOT STOP HERE. I wish I hadn't. I legitimately had to plug my nose with my shirt from how bad the bathroom smelled. And it wasn't from a new/recent odor - more like sewage that has been left uncleaned for weeks. Months even. When I washed my hands, somehow the water smelled even more putrid. I don't know if I was washing my hands with actual water. Again, could have been sewage. I bolted out of there so fast and luckily I had an ample amount of hand sanitizer in my car. I've been in porta potties that were cleaner. Hindsight, I would rather have pulled over on I-65 and peed on the highway while dozens of cars flew by me at 80 MPH. Just don't do it, save yourself the trauma. read more

What a nice rest stop. The bathrooms were clean. Great stop on the drive home. Did I mention that the bathrooms were sparkling clean?

Facilities are in need of repair, the place is badly out of date and filthy, I was afraid to touch anything. They need to be torn down and build new from scratch. Avoid this rest area and go to the next one or find a fast food restaurant bathroom to use unless you absolutely HAVE to go to the bathroom really bad and cannot hold it any longer. read more

If I could rate lower I would. We stopped because we needed to. The bathroom was the filthiest I have EVER seen. This is not just overnight dirt. This is from long time neglect. I would be embarrassed! Dead bugs, long term mold/mildew, stench of urine. We even smelled bad after coming out of the bathroom area. Please clean up this rest stop. It is OK if there is no money to remodel and bring it up to speed but these conditions are unacceptable. There is NO excuse for filth and generalized trashiness! read more

We stopped at the rest area on March 10, 2022. There was an overwhelming odor of urine as soon as we entered the building. Totally disgusting! We will never stop here again. Worse than most outhouses! read more

Convenient rest stop in Indiana. Come here to use the washroom and grab a snack from a vending machine. You can even let your pet out here in the grassy area or have a picnic if highways side picnics is your thing. read more

I was at the southbound rest area. Bathroom was very clean, had no weird smells, and was even air conditioned! I saw a lady working and she's doing great attending to the grounds! Thanks for keeping the facility looking clean! read more

This place is not worth you're time. If you are stopping by to stretch your legs, move around then it's 3 star out of 5 but if you're going to the bathroom.... I'D AVOID THIS PLACE. If I didn't have to use the bathroom so bad I would have kept driving and tried finding something better. read more
