During peak rush hour times and if there is construction, they are sometimes late/early to the point it seems like they just aren't coming (I've had to wait over 20 minutes a few times), but the City Bus app has real time maps that allow you to look where the bus is at before you leave. The buses are clean and safe- out of town visitors should definitely consider these as a mode of transportation. I come from a place where riding the city bus is dangerous, so this is a welcome difference. The city bus center is a nice building, and a good place to wait to be out of the cold.

If I were from Lafayette, IN, Me and Myself would be looking at me, right now, wondering, "Are you…read moreREALLY writing a review about a bus center"? "Hell yeah!" I would reply. "I just got off the Greyhound; it's cold out; I'm dog tired, and I sure don't feel like finding a fire hydrant to do what dogs need to do after sitting on the bus for two hours. Not only that, but this place has working outlets to charge my phone--something the bus company promised to have at each seat, but for which they didn't deliver." "Is that all?" they'd ask. "No! Listen here, Me and Myself," I'd say. "They have a flyer for each Lafayette city bus here too, and a display to show when each bus is going to come. YOU try to find that back home in Chicago." "You mean we're going to take the city bus too, after hoofing on the 'hound all the way here?" Me, Myself and I were lucky that day. I had arranged a ride that arrived shortly thereafter. But having Citybus Center was a breath of warm air as we waited, and on a weekend--a Saturday--no less.

If you know what you're doing, you can get around in the city pretty well. I had a bad day because…read moreit was a holiday and they were short staffed. Actually, no one was in the information center, but there were guys around with walkie-talkies that knew what was going on. I guess some of the problem I have with it is they do change the routes a lot and that can really mess you up when you're running late but also when it's really really cold out you don't want to be dropped off at the wrong place. Some bus drivers will answer questions and are really nice and some won't even acknowledge that you're talking to them. Some drivers wait for you to sit down or grab hold of something before they takeoff. There's some that are just plain awesome and will help you in anyway they can and are friendly. I do want to comment about the Broad ripple station. I went to yesterday after I got off of school. A man asked me if I wanted cocaine or alcohol and I said you realize you are here with school children right? Then he moved on to talk to somebody else. I don't know what he asked her, but she looked pretty mad. That really is the only sketchy thing that's happened to me so far. I'm including some helpful things that you could pick up at the transit center like brochures on the different routes as well as some tickets and how they work. If you have a two hour ticket that doesn't mean you could be on a bus for that amount of time. It means from 12 to 2 so it's better off just buying a day pass if you really don't know what's going on or it can get real pricey. I do know they have cards you can order as well. I usually just pay on the bus which they really don't like. It does save you two dollars. Make sure you don't take a $20 bill because you will not get change!!!!!!!!!!!!! The red line goes pretty fast and usually within 15 minutes they will pick you up. I'm including a picture of how you can also find your routes on your phone at Google Maps or whatever. They are very handicap friendly as well as they have places on front of the bus for your bicycles. Just remember you have to pull the cord before the next stop or they will just fly by it sometimes.

Well this morning I woke up and looked at my reservations and everything was good Well today at 10:49 I get a notification that my trips have been canceled... I went to the app and everything was there but the address has been changed... I called and got ahold of dispatch and let them know about the address changing and they said there is no record of the address changing on their end... They sent me over to reservations and again they were saying the same thing. Not understanding what had happened... I never booked for the address it changed too but since the reservation on the mobile app was done by me they dont take responsiblity... So I believe an issue with the app happened and it glitched switching my address I was going to. They will not honor for the mistake and they will just blame you for the apps malfunction... Now if you book through the App be aware of this moving forward. Print screen anything you do with the app and then call them to make sure the reservation was confirmed correctly so they will have a record on the phone with it. INDYGO DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR MOBILITY APP AND IT WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF THE SUPERIVORS OR ANY OF THEIR EMPLYEES TO KEEP BLAMING THE CUSTOMER FOR THEIR APPS MALFUNTIONS. SO BE AWARE TO COVER YOUR TRACKS

Wow! Five stars are not nearly enough for South Shore Brew Bus and our exceptional driver Mark!…read more I had searched around trying to find the best service to take us to and from a few wineries and stumbled upon South Shore Brew Bus. We were celebrating a 40th birthday and started planning a little late. After submitting some of my info and details of what we were looking for, Chris reached out right away. He made the entire planning process painless and was an incredible help with suggestions and recommendations. I knew from the start things were going to work out well. We settled on the wine tour consisting of 3 wineries and lunch at a brewery, as well as transportation to and from each of our stops including pick up and drop off at our home! The day before our reservation I heard from our driver, Mark. Just this simple act settled some of my nerves. I was stressing leading up this about things going awry. What if our driver didn't show up? What if bookings were messed up since I booked last minute? You name it, I thought it. Mark confirmed our schedule for the day and we were set. The day of the reservation he showed up early to pick us up and start our day. We had less than perfect weather yet Mark kept us on time for each of our stops. Not only did he take care of us getting to and from each winery, he also provided us with a charcuterie tray, mimosas, and homemade cookies. He was also able to educate us and give us fun facts about each place we stopped. Mark was better than any personal assistant - it was like we've known him forever! Not a detail was left untouched. We had the BEST day celebrating thanks to Mark and South Shore Brew Bus! We are looking forward to booking a brew tour this summer!

My group of nine (eight women and myself) booked a winery tour with South Shore Brew Bus, and…read moreunfortunately our experience with our driver, Mark, left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe by the end of the day. To start, Mark seemed friendly enough--he offered to take photos at each stop and gave us the rundown of the day. He mentioned that he had "seen it all," from wild bachelorette parties to loud groups, and reassured us that nothing we did would surprise him. Even with that, something about the vibe felt a bit off from the beginning. The girls in our group tried to include him in little moments and keep things light, but as the day went on, his energy felt stranger and more uncomfortable. The real issue happened at our last stop. Instead of Mark taking our photo like he had at every other winery (where he took multiple vertical and horizontal shots each time), I asked a random woman to do it. Right as she was about to snap the picture, Mark walked up quickly, told her he'd handle it, and took the phone from her. When one of my friends politely asked him to make sure the sign was in the background--just like he had done all day--he reacted rudely and visibly annoyed. He took only two rushed photos and handed the phone back without a word. Our entire group exchanged looks because the shift in his demeanor was so sudden and uncomfortable. Then, on the ride home, the situation escalated. Mark kept flooring the gas repeatedly, something he had never done during the previous six drives between wineries. Despite previously priding himself on being a safe driver, none of us felt safe at all. It completely ruined the end of our trip and made every woman on the bus uneasy--especially concerning given that we were a group of drinking adults trusting him to get us home safely. After we arrived back, one friend calmly addressed her concerns to him. Instead of apologizing, he got defensive. He eventually admitted he "overreacted" and said he was offended that she asked him to get the sign in the background because he's "been doing this for six years and knows how to take a photo." It was bizarre behavior, and at that point we simply tipped him and asked him to leave because he was making everyone extremely uncomfortable. Overall, our day started off great but ended on a very unsettling note. For a service that's supposed to provide a fun, relaxed, and safe experience--especially for groups of women--I can't recommend South Shore Brew Bus based on this encounter. I would strongly consider booking with a different tour company.
