This sandwich is loaded with roasted turkey, cheddar, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and herbed mayo. I arrived early enough to take advantage of their lunch special, which is a great deal at $10.50. I got half a sandwich along with a choice of field green salad or soup of the day. I'd give it an 7.6/10. My sides: a fresh garden salad and an orange cream soda. My partner went with the Big Bad Wolf (carved-off-the-bone ham, shredded lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, and house vinaigrette). I rated it a 9.5/10. Not sure if that's still the case though. We had the Highland. They didn't fully make it based on the description. They added the fig jam, which is typically on the Pailin. The sweetness kind of threw off the flavor. On my next visit I ordered a full of the Highwood. When you order a full they essentially give you two sandwiches. It's not one large load cut in half. This sandwich was okay. Definitely lacking in flavor. There was not much meat and the meat was good! The Brie didn't really seem to work with the sandwich. It could've used more onions and horseradish sauce along with more meat. There's potential. You can dine in and there are a few tables outside. read more

Could not recommend this place more. This is a smallish deli but don't let the size fool you. The food is great. It's all hand made sandwiches and the soups are homemade also. I got the lunch special with a half sandwich and a soup. With a drink it was about $14. The gentleman working is the owner and he was very pleasant and you can tell by all the regulars that come in that he is well liked. Just the right amount of chew and full of flavor. Others are served on a crisp baguette, crisp crust and fluffy crumb. Now the fillings 27 varieties of proteins and cheeses. When was the last time you saw pork loin on a sandwich menu. It was heavenly. Roast beef was tender and tasty with just the correct amount of horseradish spread and the addition of egg salad to the sandwich put it top of my list. The #17, Van Orden is the "Italian" sub that mocks everyone else's. Find parking in public lot behind store. The interior is cute with a few table. My wife and I made it a dinner with each of our sandwiches. If you are hungry you won't be after eating. The regular sandwiches are cut in two and they are chock full of stuff. Now today I ordered #12 Paulin, Roast Turkey with Brie and Fig jam. I expected the usual delicious sandwich. What I got was a mouthful of JOY! The turkey was sliced just right for great flavor and texture, a young firm brie provided the perfect tangy, cheese compliment to the turkey. To complete the sandwich is was dressed with a fig jam and arrugula greens. The touch of sweetness of the fig jam was the perfect complement to the peppery Arrugula. The proprietary baguette with its crusty exterior and pillow soft crumb was a joy to bite into. The only downside is that I can only arrange to be in town once a week to savor Wolf It.
