This is the 1st time I have ever gone to a gym to "work out". I was introduced to Wolf Valley Performance when my daughter gave a presentation there for pelvic floor health and exercising for guys and gals to improve their pelvic floor muscles and health. This is not a "gym" where you pay a monthly fee and walk into a bunch of machines and pick what you want to do. My 1st 5 visits were to learn the correct way to perform the exercise movements. These were one on one with Stacey. She's great, patient and very knowledgeable. She knew about all my injuries I have had in the past that would limit some of my range of motion. She got this information from talking to me and my completion of a questionnaire. Stacey showed me ways I could do the exercise moves in ways that would not cause stress or pain on my injury areas. Stacey is fun to work with. I then started my "group class" workouts. Donnie was the leader/instructor. He is just a great as Stacey. He's very patient and knowledgeable also. He is also fun to work with. He gives encouragement and he does gently push me to reach out further on the exercise outcome goals. I do sweat and get a good work out for the 2 classes I attend each week. Sometimes I'm the only one in the class and other times there are 1, 2 or 3 other people in the class. We are all on different levels of weight bearing and endurance. Each class exercise is explained prior to starting. Donnie and Stacey (whoever is teaching the class) are always right there watching all class members doing the exercise and are making sure their form is correct. If not correct, they gently tell you what move you are not doing correctly. They will then show you how to do the move correctly. They are great! I will continue to attend and build the muscle mass and strength I have lost as I have gotten older ( I'm in my 60's). The center is very clean, and we sanitize all equipment used in the class when we are done. The equipment is jump ropes, bikes, rowing machine, barbells, weight poles, and weights. My experience with Coach Stacey and Coach Donnie was Phenomenal while they Coached me in Oklahoma. Aside from All the Valuable Knowledge these Coaches have obtain and can deliver from their Qualifications, Certificates, College Degrees and Experiences. I Value their Commitment Day In and Day Out to Bring Positive, Unique, Focused and Dedicated attributes that puts them above others. I was a previous client of Coach Donnie for fitness and Coach Stacey for nutrition when they were both in Oklahoma. Coach Donnie is very patient and attentive. He pushed my brother and I in a way we didn't realize and for every fitness test we completed, we blew our re-tests out of the water!! The lessons he taught have stuck with me and now I'm thankful to be back in regular CrossFit classes. Coach Stacey has so much knowledge when it comes to nutrition. She also is very attentive to detail and keeps it real with all aspects. She's not about quick weight loss tricks and gimmicks. She's the real deal that'll help you learn to live a nutritional life that is doable and long term. This is my favorite CrossFit gym in town for a number of reasons. The team of coaches (Stacey and Donnie) are so dang knowledgeable and down-to-earth. Each time I've gone to the gym, I've been welcomed and have felt not out of place (which I've definitely felt at other local CrossFit gyms). Along with that, the team workouts are well explained in order to keep good form and not hurt myself. Lastly, I got my a** kicked in all the right ways with the workouts they planned. To be honest, if I had known WVP was a CrossFit gym I probably never would have walked through the doors because that ish is intimidating and well... who doesn't love a good CrossFit joke? But I'm so glad I found them. Stacey and Donnie are amazing coaches and it really feels like each work out can be customized to fit your own goals and fitness level. I started going to WVP for nutrition coaching with Stacey. She customized a plan for me that feels manageable and I no longer feel like I need to crash diet to reach my goals. After a few months I decided to take their Crossfit classes. Donnie and Stacey are awesome coaches. They provide tips to keep me performing the exercises safely and effectively.
