I couldn't get home fast enough to write this review! I had to take my dog to the vet this evening. I wasn't sure if I could get an appointment so last minute, but it was no problem. Wolfchase was recommended to us by someone D works with, so we figured it couldn't be too bad... It was great! From the minute we walked in, the people checking us in were super friendly, and they really seemed to love all the animals that came through the door. What we loved most, though, was Dr. Taylor!! She was wonderful, and kind, and funny, and seemed to enjoy the company of not just our dog, but us, too. They also have an online "Pet Portal" that I know we will be using to make appointments and keep up with Roosevelt's records. Thanks so much!

My first few visits went just fine. I've been bringing my dog for about a year now and have never had any issues. However, this past week my dog got a papilloma virus bump removed from his upper lip as it was becoming an obstacle for him to eat. The surgery went well and the first day of healing was fine, however the second morning, his bottom stitch unraveled and I contacted the vet. After explaining what happened I was put on hold. The vet assistant informed me that the Vet figured it would happen but not to worry the lip would still heal properly. Mind you, i was never told this. I'm looking at this gap in his lip thinking no way! But after being assured again I decided to listen to the Vet. Now, less than a week later, I am sitting in an emergency Animal Hospital awaiting a new set of stitches because they completely came out and there was blood everywhere. I wish his procedure would've been performed properly and my corncerns handled adequately to begin with, maybe I wouldn't be getting him a second set of stitches at 1am Christmas morning.

Seratt did a great job explaining everything, and my bill was more affordable than previous vets.

She is a pit mix who had most likely been on her own most of her life and needed to become fiercely independent to care for herself and her pups (don't know what became of them). The first time I tried walking Hera on a leash she literally dragged me down the street on my abdomen. We hired a private trainer to help us teach her basic commands and to walk on a leash. Lots of money later, training was over but Hera remained less than a well-behaved dog. Thankfully, we ran in to a stranger at the dog park who recommended Dogwood. OMG, what a life save!!! After just 6 weeks of classes Hera is well behaved, listens, has wonderful manners and best yet, I can easily walk her on a slack leash!!! They have attentive trainers, small class sizes and are VERY reasonably priced (to name just a few attribute). Thank you Dogwood!!!!!

We have used Hillcrest for more than 20 years with two different pets, and until this year, we had…read moreno major concerns. Unfortunately, there have been significant changes this year that have completely changed our experience. All of the doctors we trusted have left, and the level of customer service has declined dramatically. For a period of time, there wasn't even anyone available to see pets on Saturdays. It has also become increasingly difficult to reach the office by phone, with calls frequently going unanswered. Messages are often not returned in a timely manner, if they are returned at all. Another major concern is the push to have prescriptions filled through Hillcrest's online pharmacy. We have been told that they will not provide prescriptions for us to fill through an outside pharmacy, which feels unnecessarily restrictive and is particularly disappointing given the significant prices we have paid for their services over the years. I was always willing to pay higher prices because I trusted the veterinarians and felt that Hillcrest provided excellent, customer-focused care. Unfortunately, with the loss of the doctors we trusted, declining customer service, difficulty communicating with the office, and the pressure to use their pharmacy, I no longer feel that the value is there. After more than 20 years as a customer, I am very disappointed to say that we will not be returning to Hillcrest.

I first tried to make an appointment online for grooming but the first available date was 3 months later. I called and the person that answered was very helpful. I advised her that I worked from home on Mondays and Fridays, let me know what's available then. I was told Monday at 3. I was excited as I called on a Friday afternoon. I arrived Monday for drop off and was told the appointment in the system is for Tuesday at noon. I was puzzled as it was a completely different date and time but ok. I asked how early could I drop off as I have to work across town. I was advised any time after 6:30 and left. This person was still kind and pleasant. Now Tuesday morning I arrive and was notified that the appointment was CANCELED!!! When inquiring of why I wasn't notified when I was JUST there yesterday. I was met with the least helpful employee and nasty attitude. She couldn't answer anything and only offered that she didn't work the previous day so she didn't do it and it is the discretion of the groomer to cancel appointments. I reminded her that I never said that she did and reminded her that I'm only asking for understanding and trying to reach a resolution because my puppy still hasn't been groomed. So just stared. No offer to reschedule, just nothing.

Dog Injured At Pet Smart Boarding…read more We took our sweet puppies Princess and Sparkle to be boarded at Pet Smart over the weekend. At or about Sunday, October 17, 2021, Pet Smart began bombarding my wife with calls from morning to afternoon. We learned that something happened to Sparkle's leg, but mysteriously no one knew what happened. At first we were told that there was an injury to Princess, but we were then told that it was Sparkle. We were told that Sparkle would be taken to a Vet. When Princess and Sparkle were picked up this afternoon, she came home with a dog cone around her neck and a STAPLE in her CUT leg. I don't care if we were not charged for boarding and the Vet fee was free as a result, this is downright negligence. I would really like to know what the hell happened to my dog's CUT leg, because I have a hard time believing that no one knows. The question becomes, what would the very likely trail of blood tell you on the floor near wherever the mysterious injury occurred. There had to be blood near where the injury occurred. My issue is, just be honest and tell the truth. Don't make stuff up, especially when my dog comes home with a STAPLE in her CUT leg. It's dishonest and I will not be taking my dogs back here again. I recommend that no one brings their dogs to board here. I would give this place 0 starts for the experience if I could. My dog is traumatized!
