I highly recommend this location. The prices apparently are very good. The location is clean. A lot of selections. And most of all the the staff here are super friendly. During the appointment, Dr. Tao was actively listening to my concerns - I wear OrthoK (or night lenses) and had some concerns for possible eye infection which I have had in the past. Dr. Tao was extremely thorough during check-up to verify it wasn't an eye infection, answered all my questions, and explained everything to help make me feel at ease. Dr. Franks is an amazingly patient doctor who truly goes above and beyond to correct and maximize your vision to its fullest potential. He keeps himself current with the latest about medical and optical tech and advancements and his practice is up to date! He doesn't just rely on solely the standard eye chart, he will try different lighting conditions and even suggest improvements to your visual environment so you can get the most out of your vision (or whatever remains of it). He is extremely knowledgeable and isn't afraid to explore alternatives to make sure you get the most out of your eyes, as well as from the glasses or contacts he recommends. His patience, attention to detail, and willingness to try different alternatives really set him apart. My family and I have been going to him for over a decade, and we continue to recommend him because of his expertise, deep knowledge, and genuine dedication to his patients (yes! you're a patient, not a client!). His Costco office opened in August and currently is open Tuesdays and Saturdays for now with plans to increase hours. I believe he is a provider independent of Costco and anyone can make an appointment to see Dr. Franks even if you do not have a Costco membership. As I do not have time during the week Saturday was perfect for me. Making an appointment was a piece of cake (same day! and walk ins welcome!) as Dr. Franks fit me right in. I've gotten my eye exams done in CA, FL, and NY now and my eye exam with Dr. Franks was the best, most thorough exam I've ever had. Although he was very thorough with my eye exam, he was also very efficient, quick and got me out in no time. You can tell he is very passionate and enthusiastic about his work and your eye health. With my Davis Vision VSP, eyeglasses exam was covered and only needed to pay $40 for my contact lens exam too. He recommended me some great new contacts lenses for my eyes and gave me samples to try on. He gave me the prescriptions for my eyeglasses as well as for my contacts. Also got some free travel size contact solutions to go! Dr. Franks is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend him for eye exams! You won't regret it and will have clear vision! I know I came out of his office in Costco with clear vision! 8)
