I was referred by several friends and some co workers to go to Wolsfelts to look at dresses. When I walked in the door, I felt welcome from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Everyone was friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing....which made me feel excited to be there. It was a far cry from other stores that made me feel more like I was a burden by taking up their time. I'm very glad that I went shopping there - the selection was great and I found 2 awesome dresses (favorites)! I'm going back to make the final choice for my dress next week. read more

The upside: The salon is nice and they have a good selection of dresses. The downside: They rip the tags from their dresses, will not tell you who the dress is made by until you shell out $$$, and use hard-sale tactics. Most disturbingly, they are now offering a line called "Lynn Marie" which they claim is a private label designer. What they fail to mention is that the "designer" is allegedly two of the daughters (their middle names) who base their designs on other designer's work and then have the dresses manufactured overseas. I would not buy a wedding gown here unless I knew specifically which gown I wanted to buy ahead of time and was able to confirm that Wolsfelt's does indeed have the right to sell that particular designer's gown. I can't understand how anyone would shell out thousands of dollars on a dress without knowing if they were buying the gown at an inflated price, or if it was in fact a designer gown and not a knock-off. It's incredible to think they've been in business as long as they have with these practices. I guess they bank on the fact that a wedding gown purchase is typically an emotional decision and common sense does not apply. read more

I had a wonderful experience!! Everyone was helpful and made me feel super glamorous. The room was large with extra veils, sashes, and tiaras to try on. I had doubts about spending a lot on my dress since I am getting married on the beach, so when I asked for a place I could go think about it, they offered me a map of the area, and gave me directions to local restaurants. Once I made a decision, a couple hours later, they let me try it on again!! I took pictures and the lady who helped me originally was still the one who helped me again! When I went back to try on my dress, it came in with the incorrect buttons. They offered to keep the dress and place the buttons on it for free. I will be going back soon to pick it up. I have been to many stores with other brides and as a bride myself. Not only is the store enchanting, but I found the staff to be very helpful and make the shopping experience special! read more

Wolsfelt has be nothing short of a nightmare. I had selectively shopped for the dress for a year and I knew exactly what I was looking for when I walked in the door. Couture. They flat out soared over my already high budget by 1,000. But, of course, they didn't tell me that until I was head over heels for it and ready to buy. They refused to sell the sample to me for a lower price as most stores do. Heart broken, I found another that was okay. After the last dress scenario, I was asking mutiple, but important questions about this second dress. They refused to tell me the brand, size, or shipping time. Shockingly, they pushed THIS sample on me saying my 6-month-away wedding was cutting it close for ordering and shipping. I did fit perfectly in it. They even wrote "dress fits very nice, no alterations" on my receipt. Worst mistake of my life-I bought it. They were also supposed to call and tell me the brand so my out of state mom could see it online. I called for a week, constantly pestering them until they finally told me! This is a week after i paid in full! Three weeks later, I brought my mom and future mother-in-law to see what I bought. They loved it when I was walking out. However when I turned around... THEY GASPED! as there was a gaping hole at the end of the corset tie and a missing modesty panel. The saleslady lied and told them that was there when I bought it. (HA! a took pictures, thank God) Panel was there and hole was not. They had no explanation. Unfortunately, we are pigeon holed by their disgusting contract that I was naive enough to sign. It cleverly states, "I agree to pay all costs including attorney's fees incurred by the seller in enforcing this agreement." at the very bottom. This obviously isn't their first rodeo. Look for me in the Chicago Tribune. Wolsfelt can't keep doing this to brides. read more

This was the 3rd dress shop of the day and upon walking in I was really impressed. They had racks and racks of dresses as well as a large selection of bridesmaid dresses. We arrived on time for our appointment, but still ended up waiting 20 minutes for our consultant. She barely asked any questions about what I was looking for and about me before she disappeared. We really weren't allowed to go through and pull what we wanted to try on. The dressing room situation is slightly awkward. Hope you don't mind getting changed in front of your entourage because you're all in the same half room together. I would have liked a little more privacy getting in and out of the dresses. We also told her our price point and she only brought in one dress that was on the sale rack that was $200 below our budget. All of the others were at least $300-$400 over already. Nice place if you have big budget. read more

Talk about a Car Salesman experience. These ladies pushed and pushed until I bought my dress. Fortunately for them, I was going to buy the dress, but they took away my experience of a whole day of dress shopping because they wouldn't let go. Amy assisted me and completely mis-sized me. She wanted to order a size 6 dress and I knew myself well enough to order a size up. However, when the dress arrived it was still way to small. Not a happy camper. There was also beading that needed to be fixed, understandable, this dress had a lot of beading. I live in Indiana, so to continue to keep coming back to this shop wasn't convenient. The first time I came back, the never even touched the dress. The second time I came back they missed bead work. Finally on the 3rd time the got it right, but refused to put the dress in a garment bag for me to take home. Cheap skates! My original thought was to have the dress altered in my home town. However, because the dress was too small, it was going to cost a significant amount of money. I reached out to Wolsfelt's for assistance as they sized me wrong originally. They wanted me to come back in and couldn't make any promises. I made an appointment. After thinking about this, I didn't trust them and cancelled the appointment to take my dress elsewhere. I left a message, and you think I would have heard back from them considering my issue. Never heard another thing. DON'T BUY YOUR DRESS FROM HERE, your just in for a world of frustration and disappointment. read more

Fifteen days before my wedding, the dress I originally purchased from another vendor wasn't fitting like I had hoped. I was dreading wearing it. Wolsfelts is a bride's dream come true. They make the process very seamless and stress free for your big day! I want to personally say that my experience with them from day one has exactly mirrored that. My sales consultant Andrea, has been a dream to work with. She has been so sweet and understanding throughout this process. I have 5 bridesmaids in total and like many brides, it's hard to get your whole bridal party together and try on all these styles you want them to try on. Well, Andrea and the whole staff at Wolsfelts have been soo accomadating to all our needs to get their BM dresses on time for my big day! I cannot wait to see them all in it.The groom and groomsmen will be getting their suits here, and I know their top notch customer service and care will be nothing short of awesome. Grrr....Booo! I was incredibly intimidated going on my first trip to look for my wedding dress. The entire idea was overwhelming but my mother was coming in town and I'd heard good things and I figured that we had to start somewhere - so we took on Wolsfelt's Victorian Bridal....Village (they have a salon and a chapel on site which I found to be odd - especially the chapel - but what do I know - this is my first time). Overall, the experience at the store went much better than I thought - they had tons of dresses and the woman helping us, Andrea, helped me to actually find three very different dresses that I liked very much. I was a little disappointed when she told me that I could not take photos, but I was not worried. Then as we were leaving, my mother asked for the names of the dresses so that we could show my father who was 8 hours away in Michigan and so that I could think about it over the next few weeks. She VERY RELUCTANTLY alluded to the parent brand (which of course has a zillion labels under it) but told me that they had no names. So I get it - she wants me to buy the dress there - but this was not selling me at all. To make matters worse, I called the company to try and find out the names of the dresses and also called her back just to see if she could find out any more information so that we could try and locate them on the Internet ourselves. Not only did she basically refuse to help us (store policy I guess is to infuriate your customers) but she was very angry with us for calling the company (what else was I supposed to do?) and that they were actually helpful or tried to be. So much so that she called the company and had the person helping me reprimanded and he in turn email me and tell me that he no longer could help me. This has been so upsetting as you would hope that while they have a business to run, they would understand how important it is to make the bride happy and at this point - I wouldn't step foot in that store again regardless of whether or not they had just denied me the dress of my dreams. If 0 stars were possible and an alert system to brides could be created - I would most definitely follow through. This is supposed to be a very exciting time for a bride - and they have ruined that memory for me. read more

I would highly recommend Wolsfelt's Bridal to anyone bride! I first experienced Wolsfelt's Bridal when my best friend got married and purchased her dress there. I knew I had to put it on my list when I started my own search for the perfect dress. The consultants are incredibly helpful when it comes time to choose your dress and it was the consultant that made my dress perfect by recommending I add a belt which was the missing piece I needed to say yes! My dress even came in early! When I tried it on and I was much too large I panicked that it would never look right. But the seamstress at Wolsfelt's Bridal was magical and made the dress a perfect fit. And we didn't get charged through the roof for alterations. Overall I would highly recommend Wolsfelt's Bridal to brides and have even sent my cousin there who purchased her wedding dress! read more

Wolsfelt's was my 3rd bridal salon I visited to try on bridal gowns. I was greeted by Ginny who went to check on who would be helping me for my appointment (Saturday at 2:30pm, which I had booked 3 weeks prior). She came back to my small group and said, "looks like I will be helping you!" - but not in the way that made me feel like she wanted to! I did not like the changing area - there were people coming in and out of my room where I had to sit there in my bra & underwear in front of them [I am not self conscience, but I could imagine this may be a nightmare for others that are...] - We were told we could not take pictures of dresses (which is common, BUT i was able to in the 2 previous salons I had visited). Our salesperson and another salesperson got in a small tiff over a dress that each one wanted to show - making it very awkward for myself and my group. I ended up liking a gown there, but it was a bit out of my price range - and OF COURSE they would not give me the name of the company that designed it, telling me it was "private label". My friend ended up sneaking a picture, which I took somewhere else to either find that dress, Or something similar... and I did end up finding something similar BUT better. I'm sure this place may be right for some, if you are going here, maybe make an appt earlier in the day... OH and leave your children at home! They did not seem to enjoy my 4 year old flowergirl that was overwhelmed and excited about all the brides :-) read more

I gave it two starts since we did find my daughter did find her dress at this boutique, but as far as customer service don't expect a "Say yes to the dress" moment. Pros, they have a nice selection of dress, with a variety of prices and they are not pushy. Cons, Small, small, small, small shop, small area to try on clothes and very small viewing area. Coming back to the shop to retry on what my daughter believed was her dress, was very anti-climatic, had to remind the sales associate to take a picture once she chose the dress. We then tried on wedding party dresses with no one even interested in helping us. We pulled them on our own selection and found our own dressing room. Coming back to the shop after the wedding dress had arrived was even less anti-climatic. The bride was shown a tiny dressing room by what I would guess was possibly an sales intern, she got in the dress herself, the sales girl never commented once my daughter stepped out of the dressing room other than to ask if that was the correct dress. When we went to purchase the $2000.00+ dress and I was shocked to see it came in a plastic bag. When I asked if there was an actual dress bag I was told yes for $25.00. Again, we found her dream wedding dress but do NOT find her dream experience. I know they do charge extra for a Champaign experience, maybe the positive reviews come from people who "paid" for the experience. read more

I had a great experience with Wolsfelt's! My consultant Erin was so friendly. I never felt pressured and she was very patient with me. I tried on a lot of dresses and she pulled great picks for me and listened to what I wanted. They have a huge selection in a good range of prices. I wasn't crazy about having to change in the same room as your entourage I just felt that takes away some of the wow of coming out in a dress to show them but it wasn't that big of a deal. Nice selection of dresses, but I did not have a great experience. First off, she never asked my budget. So, as I was trying on gowns I could not get excited about any of them because I didn't know if they were in my price range or not. When I did try one I liked it was $1200 OVER my budget. Second, I told her I did not want strapless and the majority of the selection she brought me were strapless. She was trying to up-sell me sleeves or additional alterations that would of course add to the price. And the biggest thing that turned me off from giving them my business was she asked to see the picture of the dress I had found at a different store, saying "I know we don't allow it here, but could I see the picture to see if we have something like it and we could order it for you" (To me this is unfair to the store that allowed me to take pictures. That store wants to make sure I like the way I look in it, in photos.) Even with their sale, I did not want them to order the dress I really loved, because I wanted to give my business to the other store that allowed me to take pictures and even went as far to write down the style number for me. That store even tells you all about the designer. Wolsfelt's cuts the tags out of the dresses and puts their own tag in. They won't tell you who the designer is. If you go here make sure you tell them your budget right up front. read more

This was a weird place. It is in a compound of homes that serve as businesses. The woman who assisted me, was nice, but awkward and really seemed to complicate the process by being scattered. She stayed in the room with me while I tried on the dresses and did not offer to take pictures- made me feel like I was being subject to surveillance. In addition, the way that she spread the dresses back before I stepped into them was dangerous. I kept stepping on them while she was already trying to pull them up. I won't be back. read more

I just went to Wolsfelt's yesterday and I have to say, this was the best shopping experience I've had. This is the 5th store I've visited during my search for my perfect wedding dress and I was thoroughly impressed. Jackie was my consultant and she is just the best -- so capable and helpful, not overbearing or annoying, just everything you'd want in a consultant. The store is just so charming, an old house converted into an open, multi-level store. There was even a golden retriever laying down on the first floor. And the dresses! So gorgeous. I found 3 that I absolutely love. I'm going back in a week with my bridesmaids and mother-in-law to make a final decision :) So happy! Definitely go here. read more

Wolsfelts has a huge selections of wedding dresses! I found my dress and I loved it. Andrea was so helpful and knowledgeable, I greatly appreciated all her insight and feedback during the process. Next was the bridesmaid dresses - I did want to use Wolsfelts but they had rules that other stores do not. In order to get a discount on bridesmaid dresses you had to order them within a certain time frame of ordering your dress. This was not a flexible option and did not work for us because we had purchased my dress over a year in advance. The other wedding dress stores in the area did not have this strict timeline requirement. We decided to buy dresses at another store which did give us the discount even though I did not purchase my dress there. I had my dress altered at Wolsfelts and was extremely happy with how it turned out. The seamstress was a magician - seriously talented! At my first fitting I purchased an undergarment ($90) and when reviewing the pictures after the appt I noticed it showed through the illusion lace back. I left the dress and the undergarment at Wolsfelts and called after reviewing the photos citing the problem. I was directed to discuss at my next fitting. I did and was sadly told that the sale was final and there were no returns allowed. This policy is very inflexible especially considering the situation. The undergarment was in the original packaging and had never been worn. It could still be sold to another customer. The managers demeanor towards me when discussing this was not appreciated. She asked me if I needed earrings, shoes, veil or some other accessories that the credit could be used towards. When I explained that I had already purchased all these items at Wolsfelts, she pulled out my customer file to confirm that I had indeed purchased all these accessories. I no longer felt like a valued customer and was frustrated at the way this was handled. My mom was shopping for a dress at this point so they offered to put the credit towards her dress. Otherwise I would have been out $90. Their inflexibility and dated rules were a big stress to me so I cannot give them more than 3 stars. This is not a reflection on the dress shopping experience or alterations they provide though. read more

I made an appointment here because It was recommended by friends and I saw it had good reviews. I'm shocked to see how they have good reviews after my experience there. I went in to look for a wedding dress. I was barely greeted by the girl at the front desk who was kind of meh. Not warm nor friendly. After about 10 minutes of sitting around I was helped by Laurie(not sure if spelled correctly) she wasn't that friendly to begin with and she basically just picked dresses for me, she never led me around to see what dresses I would like and didn't show me where other options would be. She took me upstairs to where the room was and basically wanted me to get undressed and try on the dresses in front of her, I told her I didn't feel comfortable with her standing there watching me get undressed and she immediately got annoyed and started telling me that they've been doing it like that for 44 years and that it's a liability issue, but come on. If someone doesn't want to undress in front of you, you can't force them. She had my family sitting in the middle area, cramped and I was only able to see myself in a small mirror. We asked if we could be moved to a larger room nearby that was empty and not being used since we got there, and again she was bothered and eventually moved us into the room. My family and I were not happy with the service and at that point I was Done. I went in on July 26th and it took her almost 3 weeks to follow up with me. Clearly this woman doesn't care about her job or clients. So BEWARE. I'm pretty sure there are better associates there that will be willing to help you and won't have such a crappy attitude. As for myself I will be getting the same dress at THE CRYSTAL BRIDE in Geneva, since they have exceptional service and the same dress is not as expensive as it is here. read more

Very disappointed. I know they have been around for a long time and several people go here to get their dresses, but really? Can't they improve their customer service and honesty just a bit? I recently purchased my bridesmaid dress here for my friend's wedding. I was in the store for the measuring and purchasing of the gown. I was told the size I would be receiving, agreed, and was quickly asked to sign a folded contract. I received the dress the other day, and realized it is 2 sizes too big. I reviewed my contract I signed and under my measurements is written one size (the true size I need) and then a long, sloppy written "notes" section that the sales lady wrote that states that I went over the size chart with her and want the large size I received, which is huge and I would never order. The sales lady also underlined "store not responsible if gown does not fit: different size was recommended" 10 times....Perfect. I learned my lesson to fully read contracts from now on. I will for sure not be getting my alterations from Wolsfelt's nor my wedding gown for my upcoming wedding. read more

I think that Wolsfelt's has beautiful dresses, etc. I have bought multiple prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, and even my wedding dress there. Since I have over a ten year relationship with them, I was very hurt when my engagement fell through before the dress was received and they wouldn't do anything to help me sell it. They were given a 4 month notice and since the dress was already in production, they woudn't buy the dress back from me at a reduced rate or connect me with someone that could help me. It has been 2 years and I am still so upset over the treatment I received from Wolsfelt's. Out of principle, I would never give them my business again. read more

The only reason I went to Wolsfelt's was because they had the dress I was looking for. If that hadn't been the case, I wouldn't have even bothered to go as they are too far away from Chicago to make it worthwhile. Before I first went in, I told the saleswoman which dress I was looking for. I wasn't really interested in looking at anything else. When I finally went for my appointment, Instead of bringing me what I asked for they kept bringing me ugly dress after ugly dress...most of which I refused to try on. When they finally brought me the dress I had been asking for, I tried it on and knew it was the one. I ordered my dress in June of 2009 and was told it would take 4-6 months. They gave me a call at the end of November to come in and try it on. When we went to the first fitting appointment, we were helped by a girl who clearly didn't work there full time. When we tried on my dress it was obvious that it was too long (due to the design, we special ordered it short because we were told it could not be shortened). When we brought that up, she said this appointment was just to check if the sizing was correct. At that same appointment we ordered the veil, and this girl told us we would receive a call when everything came in. 5 months later, I still hadn't received a call, so we had to call them. They told me that they had sent me a post card to let me know stuff was in. Hmmm...and what happens if that card gets lost in the mail? Wouldn't you think to call a client if they hadn't come in for 2 months? Not them. We again asked about the length of the dress, and they said they would have to measure the dress and see if it really was incorrect. Sure enough, after they called us back , they had to admit they ordered the wrong dress! But never fear, their seamstress had taken apart this dress numerous times, so it shouldn't be a problem. But a problem it was. First off, due to traffic, it took us 3 hours to get there from the city. And I know how much of a pain it is to have people be late for appointments, so I called well in advance to let them know I was running late, and I would do my best. When I did eventually arrive, Carol, the seamstress made it clear that she was angry about my being late, and that now she would have to rush through the appointment. Which, by the way, they wouldn't have had to have if they had ordered the right dress. Not to mention the fact that she got angry at me for losing weight and that she would have to take the dress in. I'm sorry I didn't stay exactly the same size for a year. At least I didn't get fatter! After two fittings I thought I was finally done, and couldn't wait to have my dress ready and perfect. Well...not quite. I took a day off of work to make sure I was there on time...I was even early. But this time, Carol was late. And instead of apologizing after being a half hour late to the appointment, she just laughed it off. I guess we deserved that for being late before, but it was still quite rude. When I went to try on the dress, the extra boning that was added caused a horrible bulge in the middle of the dress, which they kept trying to blame on my undergarments. Then, Carol claimed they could steam it out, to which the steamer said, "That's not going to steam out." The bottom was crooked, Carol's claim was that the beading weighed it down. On only one side? I don't think so. The seams weren't pressed and were all wrinkled, the beaded accents were crooked, and they managed to sew the top layer of the dress in the wrong spot so that it bulged on two sides. We had to wait 4 hours just to make it wearable. And, even now, it's not perfect, but I won't risk them ruining it even more than they already have. I took my dress home early, even though I could tell they wanted me to keep it there. If something else happens to my dress, I'm sure I can find a seamstress who can fix it better and for less cash than Wolsfelts, not to mention being closer than a drive that can take anywhere from an hour to three hours! Bottom line: I only went for the dress. After I ordered it, I learned I could have paid more to have a shop near me order it for me to try on. Too bad this is a lesson I've learned that hopefully won't come in handy again. The dresses are nice, but the drive and the service you get just aren't worth it. If you have to go, get it altered somewhere else. read more

I had a fantastic experience here shopping for my wedding dress. It was my third time trying on bridal gowns. My consultant Michelle was outstanding, fun to work with, understood my vision for my gown, and pulled exactly the right dresses for me. (They also let you pull some gowns of your own, it is a mix). I had my dream wedding gown after about 6 dresses (I had tried on over 30 gowns prior to coming here). They had a wide selection of dresses and spacious fitting rooms. I was also allowed to take photos (I only asked to do this once I had already decided to purchase the dress.) I live downtown Chicago, and it was definitely worth the drive to Aurora. I can't comment on alterations yet as I'm not at that point in the process. read more

I just want to say that when i picked my dress up i was treated rudely because i didn't have my shoes or my undergarment's reason why i didn't bring them along was because i was not getting my alterations done there.I live in Peoria,IL I'm getting them done here.So they doubled bagged my dress with plastic bags and rushed me out.I guess if u dont get your alterations done there you dont get a garment bag. They are snooty and i think even racist Why?because i was trying to buy some jewelry there but this man kept watching me and following me i did not see them doing that to anyone else even my sister asked me if he was following us. While i was trying to pick out my jewelry this lady came out from behind the check- in desk with my DRESS in hand when i told her specifically that i was going to look around and i would pick it up on my way out.I will not ever recommend this place to anyone! read more

All their dresses are beautiful and everyone there was super nice and helpful. They even rushed my dress in so I could start alterations before my surgery (which I didn't know about when I initially bought the dress). My seamstress, Antonia, was the sweetest person ever and made sure my dress was perfect! When I went to pick up my dress, one of the ladies there helped carry it out to my car and gave me a hug & said congratulations. My sister, who is single, even said that someday when she gets engaged, she wants to get her dress from Wolsfelt's! read more

I just bought my wedding dress here after shopping around. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and fun! It took the sales consultant 30 minutes to find my dress. I would recommend this to a bride that has been to a few places and has a good idea of what she is looking for as the selection here can be overwhelming. I bought my wedding dress, my bridesmaids dresses and rented the men's formal wear through Wolsfelts. I found the dress I liked first at another salon but wanted to find somewhere that would give me a better deal and give me help in the other wedding attire outside of MY dress. This place fit the bill perfectly. I had most of my bridal party out of state which made things a little hairy but definitely do-able. I worked with Andrea for the ladies dresses and Donna for the men's attire. We had a zipper snafu with one of the bridesmaids dresses and they pulled through for me and got it fixed which was AWESOME. My dress ended up being HUGE on me but hey, there are WAY bigger wedding issues than that so my seamstress simply took it in. I did not use they alterations so cannot comment on them. The guys looked good in their tuxes as well all except the ring bearer who was in a poorly fitted jacket...but that may have been a measurement error as he was out of state so the day before the wedding is a bit late to fix that 100%...c'set la vie. All in all, I feel I got a very good price for my dress and some of my bridesmaids have already reused their dress just a few months later (wedding 10/2012). I let my bridesmaids pick their own dress style within a line, fabric, and color that I chose...that probably helped. Because I did so much of my wedding through one place I feel I got a very fair price. I would recommend them to a friend anytime. read more

I came in to try on a Martina Liana wedding dress that no other local retalier had at the time. Since I live in the city, this was quite the commute but I needed to try this dress on. I had pretty average expectations when I arrived since the outside and inside seemed very 80's (non urban boutique) to me and I was only there for 1 dress. However, there selection was AWESOME and tempting so I ended up trying on several funky/ modern dresses. They had a nice variety of trendy designers including Justin Alexander, Matthew Christopher, Martina Liana, Pronovias (recognized dresses from my online dress search). They also had different silhouette options, colors, textures, beading (and non beading), and lost of size options!!! More dress diversity than I had seen in any other stores in the city. I worked with Jackie and she was amazing. She understood my style right away and more importantly my budget (didn't show me anything I couldn't afford). I wasn't pressured and she was extra patient and fun to work with. I ended staying the whole hour appt. I do think they are a bit more pricey than some of the other competitors (if you call around) for the same dresses which is why they have a 4.I ended up buying my dress on-line but would highly recommend them to others. I bought my wedding gown here. It was the first place I went to, and the dress I found was the 4th one I tried on. It was gorgeous! I got so many compliments on it on our wedding day. I fell in love with a dress from Wolsfelt's that they claimed was part of their "private line." My consultant Michelle was a sweetheart, very helpful and not a pushy salesperson. However, she did not let me take photos of dresses until after I purchased one, to prevent me from shopping around for the best price. Five months later (ahead of schedule) my dress arrived and I just had my first fitting today; I took note of the brand name on the tag, which was San Patrick. After having my fitting (Martha the seamstress was kind of unfriendly and kept trying to push me toward the priciest alterations; I have yet to see her quality of work), I came home and did some Google research. As it turns out, my dress was part of the 2010 San Patrick line, which retailed for $1100 two years ago. I paid $1700 for the same dress at Wolsfelt's, two years later. Their private line is simply discontinued dresses that they continue to sell and mark the price WAY up. While I do love my dress, I feel like I was taken advantage of and paid WAY more than I should have. If you choose Wolsfelt's, be careful of their prices and do research on the dress before you buy it. read more

One star is 1 too many for this place. I am one of 5 bridesmaids. 2 of us have issues with our dress. The other girl is having her alterations done there. Luckily, my Mother sews so I am able to save money on this overpriced dress that needs MAJOR fixing. They measure bust, waist and hip for the dress fitting. I went and picked it up and it barely zipped up the back. It was baggy around the waist and hip. The bust was also loose. (dress is a strapped vneck style) I could barely breathe. It was so tight around my rib cage. The fabric was pulled so tight it actually folded over slightly from stretching. The woman re-measured me and said I grew 1.5 inch and hustled out of the room. Really? In all the places they measured, it fit loose. How in the world did my RIB CAGE grow? My ribs, are literally skin and bone. When I gain weight, it is all in my stomach and that area is LOOSE. It is appalling that they had no interest in fixing the issue. It was poorly made, not poorly measured. The dress is beautiful too! It is such a shame. I will NEVER go back to this shoppe based on how they took no responsibility for an ill made dress. I have gained 2 pounds according to my scale since I got measured for this dress. I am going through a nightmare with it and I paid a fortune for the dress. AVOID THIS SHOPPE. THEY DO NOT PRACTICE HONEST BUSINESS. read more

I went into Wolsfelt's in February 2016 to find my Wedding Dress. I had a few photos on my phone that I was interested in, and they had the dress I liked that I found online. Lori was the one who was helping me and she was great, patient, and kind. I went over my appointment time, and she didn't say anything about it. She took her time with me, even when I was down to the last 2 dresses that I tried on about 6 more times. I made a decision and bought my dress! They are very pricey I must say, but I fell in love with the dress. I recommend Bride's coming to this store and hopefully finding the dress. read more

We went brides maid shopping and some of my girls at this point had never met each other. I introduced everyone in the parking lot and enter the shop thinking everyone would have a great time. We were shown to a large room sectioned off from another group by a curtain. The room had chairs and a stand with large mirrors, so my mom and all the girls had to watch everyone change into dresses. They all tried to put happy faces on, but it was very uncomfortable getting naked in front of people you just met. I cant believe they did not have a private changing area. The attendant was polite, but seemed very inexperienced. read more

Wolsfelt's Bridal did a great job helping me find my wedding dress. The first consultant spent approximately 4 hours with me and this was my 4th dress shop (that I had traveled an hour to get to) to find the perfect dress. My only disappointment was that during my first fitting my seamstress accidentally poked herself (I know that cannot be helped sometimes- but it does happen when you're trying to go too fast), and got blood on my dress. This was not rectified by my second visit; however, by my final visit it was removed. I am a nurse so blood doesn't scare me, but when it comes to your wedding dress I would prefer my color being white, not red/pink. Thankfully though it was removed. Ultimately, I would definitely recommend Wolsfelt's Bridal. They have a great selection of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses and they always gave me as much time as I need to make decisions; which is important with a selective bride. read more

Very disappointed with the alterations done on my dress. Not only were they outrageously expensive, they didn't even do what they said they were going to do. I was told by my seamstress that she was going to sew my bra into the dress since the back was so low. When I went for my last fitting she even said at that time she forgot to do it and would do it after I left. So once I got there and saw it wasn't done they folded down the sides of the bra and sewed it down and claimed that is what my seamstress meant. Obviously couldn't argue since my wedding was in 2 days and I live over an hour away. All night the clips were digging into my side and the bra was always showing and I was always adjusting. When I contacted the shop to let them know about not being satisfied they just ignored me. Guess it doesn't matter to them since they already got my money. Would never recommend them for alterations, go somewhere else. read more

I decided to go to Wolsfelt's for my first time wedding dress shopping since my sister bought her dress there a few years ago. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and I knew I would be VERY picky when it came to picking out my wedding dress. I was greeted right away when I walked in the door and the girl was very friendly and let me know my consultant would be right with me. Michelle was my consultant and from the beginning she was wonderful. She was very nice, professional, and she made me feel completely comfortable. She made sure to ask me plenty of questions about what kind of dress I had in mind and she made sure to find out exactly what I wanted before she pulled the dresses for me. Michelle picked out dresses that completely matched what kind of dress I described. She made sure to also include my family in my appointment which made it really fun for all of us. I did end up finding "the dress" and when it came time to decide if I wanted to purchase the dress that day or not Michelle was not pushy at all she made me feel very comfortable, and I did end up buying my dress that day. I would definitely recommend this store to any bride. Wolsfelt's has a great selection of beautiful, unique dresses that you wouldn't find at the typical wedding dress store. The dresses are also VERY reasonably priced, they are also very good quality. They also have a big selection of veil's, jewelry, and shoes.
