My name is Samantha Johnson, and I currently live in Texas. My father is a patient of Dr. Lobis,…read moreand he has metastatic prostate cancer. I cannot express enough how grateful my family is for Shannon. Even though I live out of state, she has gone above and beyond by calling me from her personal cell phone so I can listen on speaker while Dr. Lobis discusses my father's treatment plan. That level of compassion and dedication is something you simply don't find every day. Shannon has treated both my father and me like family from the very beginning. It is obvious that she doesn't come to work just for a paycheck--she is in healthcare because she genuinely cares about people. Her patients are always her priority, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure we feel informed, supported, and cared for during an incredibly difficult time. Unfortunately, my experience has not been the same with everyone in the office. I have spoken with Lisa, who answers the phones, on several occasions and have found her to be impatient and unkind. As a family navigating a cancer diagnosis, compassion and kindness make an enormous difference. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to improve the experience for other patients and families. I wanted to make sure Shannon receives the recognition she truly deserves. She has made one of the hardest experiences of our lives just a little easier, and for that, my family will always be grateful. SHANNON , FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY DADS HEART AND MY WHOLE FAMILY, WE THANK YOU!

I was so worried that the scars would disfigure for life. Nope! Dr. Chang made sure of that. He is the greatest. Recommend him 1000 percent.

I know this review is long, but if you care about your face, please read all of it so you don't…read moresuffer the deformity I have as a result of the facelift I had by Dr. Chang. I chose Dr. Chang because I thought he showed genuine interest in improving my face and he seemed to really listen to my concerns. I couldn't have been more wrong. For two weeks after the surgery, the left side of my head was INTENSELY painful and continued to bleed. I had a friend take pictures, and TWO ENDS OF TWO OF THE STAPLES WERE ACTUALLY IN MY INCISION!! I actually cried out in pain when he removed them! I AM LEFT WITH ONE EAR THAT IS A HALF INCH LOWER THAN THE OTHER ONE AND NOW STICKS OUT , and MY LOBES ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! They look like two different ears! It is VERY noticeable and now my glasses tilt! At first when I complained about my ears, he told me they were probably always like that and I just hadn't noticed! Believe me, I have scrutinized my face for OVER 50 YEARS! I know what my ears look like! Then he said he could fix them, so he knew there had been a mistake. At my visit last week when I cataloged all of the errors, he told me he would do nothing differently! He put my glasses on my face and ACTUALLYT PRESSED THE LEFT ARM DOWN ON MY HIGHER EAR TO MAKE THE GLASSES LINE UP (they didn't) to show me I was mistaken! I was stupefied! My eye doctor has never had to adjust the arms of my glasses to have them sit evenly on my face! My ears have always been even! I still have bags under my eyes, I still have loose skin under my chin, and one eye is still partially hooded. At the initial visit, he looked at the front of my head and asked me if I frequently wore my hair up, and I said yes. He then told me that he would shave my hair slightly behind the hairline above my ear to hide the scar. After the surgery when I saw that the incision had actually been placed in FRONT of my hairline, I expressed my distress; he then told me he was looking at the BACK of my head when he asked me that question. Who cares about the back of your head when you're wearing your hair up? Who would be looking there? After that, I stopped trusting him. At my last visit, I once more expressed my (now) outrage at the errors, he said he should've managed my expectations. I told him if he had told me at the beginning, at our first consult, that these errors were something I could expect from the surgery, I would've been out the door like a bat out of hell! I am so MISERABLE that I entrusted MY FACE to this doctor! I keep asking myself, Can this be fixed? Can some other plastic surgeon undo the damage caused by Dr. Chang? God, I hope so. Believe me, I pray every day that my face can be fixed. It's all I think about. I can't believe this happened. Please, women, don't be fooled by his "caring", "compassionate" demeanor. Take a lesson (a hard, unnecessary lesson) from me and save yourself the HEARTACHE of a damaged face.

Therapy Undermined by Critical Lack of Communication and Patient Safety…read more While the therapies at Delaware NeuroRehab showed promise in improving my physical functionality, the clinic's rigid adherence to standardized protocols over patient safety made it unsafe for me. During my occupational therapy sessions, the therapist pushed standard exercises (such as planks and crunches) that were highly dangerous for my severe, seven-inch abdominal hernias. Despite my clear and urgent warnings, my concerns were ignored. Furthermore, my trauma responses were mischaracterized in my medical records as mere "pain," the kind of critical documentation failure that contributed to the denial of my SSDI disability claim and caused immense personal distress. When I attempted to address this clinical failure, the therapist excused her actions by stating she was simply following a standard protocol. When I met with the head nurse practitioner, she seemed confused by the term "hernia," incorrectly referring to a supposed herniated disc in my back, rather than the severe abdominal wall hernias I had clearly documented in my onboarding paperwork. The NP offered no accountability, simply noting the practice was not trauma-informed and suggesting I go elsewhere. It feels like nobody at this clinic actually read my intake forms or cared to listen, prioritizing rigid procedures over human attunement and patient-reported safety, leaving me feeling managed and dismissed rather than cared for. I cannot recommend a practice that dangerously prioritizes standardized checklists over listening to its patients.
