This place is great, especially during the pandemic. You can get your ultra sound's here (the phone scheduling system on the other hand is a give or take). My spouse, used them to get ultrasounds done. They allow the spouse to come in with you still! The sonogram lady was thorough and did her shots quickly. Sometimes it was a bit uncomfortable when she would poke the belly with probe to make the baby move a bit. But overall the process was friendly and efficient. They print of photo's for you and some apt give you a cd to keep. read more

I discovered Reston Hospital's Women's Imaging Center thanks to my GYN. Because of COVID-19 I had been a little delayed by a month in getting my mammogram done, and when my regular place told me it would be toward the end of January before I could get my annual mammography I decided to check them out, they were able to get me in within a couple of days just for a screening. So they are affiliated with the hospital their location is in one of the external buildings not directly connected to the hospital. Check-in was fairly simple, and all of the staff I encountered were super nice. Bonus, even with the curved mammography instruments generally I still feel like my breasts are being placed in a vice, not this time!! Seriously this was the least uncomfortable mammogram I've ever had. Certainly glad I discovered this place and even more relieved I was able to get in quickly for a screening. And yes everything looked a-ok. read more

I'm considered high risk for breast cancer with a 4D mamm each year and a sono every 6 months. I'm currently on leave from work for 4 potential upcoming surgeries at 60% pay further diminished because of approval extensions and updated occurring post pay period. I was scheduled for a mammo and sono 10/2024. Since 9/2024. The day before I was advised it was over 250 dollars due up front. I asked about payment options and plans. Though I didn't hear a confirm back on 50 down and how the rest was handled after, and found my imaging had been canceled. A different rep called 11/2024 about scheduling. Initially she advised i shouldn't be canceled for not having the full money up front & later in the call advised my deductible had been met for the year & it's not even 50 due, but 40, my copay. She said my max may have been met following the prior canceled appointment, given my plethora of other apts. & rescheduled me. I received the confirm call yesterday. Nothing stated about 250 due. I showed today to encounter Erin, who I initially spoke with that canceled me prior, who told me 50 down was due. I wrote a check but also expressed my concerns with what I was advised by the last person, and my current financial situation. She told me the 2nd rep was wrong. Then spoke on the phone with someone unknown that I didn't speak with, as her confirmation. Worse, she told me after i made the 50 dollar payment that now also a credit card was required and 12/12/24, half of the remainder, 167 was due, and thenagain, 1/12/25. I told her id been advised with my balance in all with Mary Wash, I could pay 50 a month total. Which she declined, advising they wouldn't see me if i could not agree to this offer, and would not consider any other offer for payment plan. I asked to speak with the manager she said she was speaking to. She went to the back. I waited a few minutes and 2 women walked in, peering in my direction, smirking and walked back out, one muttering something about I guess she can sit there,pointing to Erins chair. They never spoke to me. Erin then reappeared from the back claiming her manager was in a meeting. I dont know what is going on here. Im leaving again, unseen. Erin is cold, unempathetic and indifferent. If my yearly max has been met, which was confirmed prior, then the 20% is not due, only my out of pocket deductible of 40. Erin advised I'm being charged this because my out of pocket deductible- which is 40 dollars per specialist, is not at a yearly max, though this doesn't reach a yearly max, that I'm aware. You prior confirmed my insurance yearly deductible was reached and the 20% Erin insists on charging is not due. Your manager refused to see me, after you guys have done this to me twice now, and even though she was just on the phone with Erin, she was in a meeting? Your uninvolved front staff made am appearance in this duration to peep over and sneer and walk back out. Is this really how you treat your patients? Why? I'm being given very different information and 0 workability and frankly, you all are playing with women's lives and I don't understand why. read more

I love this place. Every time I need some sort of imaging done I go here. Everyone is nice and explains everything really well and patient with people. They are willing to help and accommodate, and you don't have to wait long to get in. This place is great for women and have not come across a tech that is rough, they are always gentile and explain when there may be some discomfort if any. I highly recommend this place. Even though I live in Burke I will make the drive to Reston just for this place and the kind people who work there. read more

billed me for an additional procure that was not ordered by my doctor. The procedure was an additional $900.00 plus. Women's Imaging would not relent on the charge. HCA owns Women's Imaging and they are a for PROFIT Hospital.... They want their money ...no matter if they made mistake or not. Extremely extremely rude front office. Called over the phone to make an appointment and honestly I can say in the past how many ever years I've been here, it's really hard to find polite front office at this location. The lady on the phone was cutting me off time and time again and then acting like I'm doing something wrong. When I told her I can call another location thats fine, she starts to yell more about how she's trying to explain something. Why companies employ people who have no interest in providing good customer service is beyond me. Will be going to another location going forward. read more

The place is very neat and the setting feels warm, but the doctor doesn't even come into your room after your ultrasound. I felt very dismissed when I asked to get explanations as to why everything was okay and just get an idea as to what was going on in the area that they ultra-sounded since I do have pain there. Otherwise staff were nice I just didn't feel listened to read more

This imaging center is fantastic. I've been here four or five times for this pregnancy and I am always happy with the service. The receptionist is friendly and helpful (whether you're in person or calling in), the nurses that check you in are efficient and personable and the imaging staff is superb. I know that if I ever need an ultrasound or sonogram, I'll be coming here. They've also been great about scheduling last minute appointments when possible. read more

On August 2, 2019, I had my yearly mammogram with the Women's Imaging Center; I was pleasantly surprise when Sharon, an office staff member, remembered by name when she opened the facility's doors for business. She professionally and pleasantly addressed me by saying "good morning Miss Greene". This made me feel appreciated as a yearly patient who has her mammograms done faithfully. I would strongly recommend this facility to family and friends. Everyone from the person who does the registration to the technician performing the procedure. Keep up what your doing. I do not recommend Women's Imaging Center and I will not be going back. I had my very first prenatal ultrasound there today and I was extremely disappointed. The front desk was very unprofessional and rude. She talked about me and my file/order to another coworker (not knowing where it is, when my doctor sent it over electronically) loud enough for the large waiting room to hear using an unprofessional tone. I was willing to let that slide because everyone has a rough day. Luckily after interacting with her, I met with a lady who is in charge of the paperwork/payment information. She was very nice and friendly. She answered my questions and was very professional. It was very nice working with her. This is why I left one star, for her! After my interaction with the billing person, I got called back with the technician. The technician was very cold and deliberately unapproachable. This is my first pregnancy, and I asked a total of three questions. She was very short and rude about all three questions. One of the questions that I asked if I could see the baby (totally reasonable since this is my first pregnancy and first ultrasound- ever). She told me that I had to wait. Which is totally fine, but other than that she was super silent the whole time. My nerves were insanely high. This is a very important, yet nerve wracking experience being pregnant for the very first time. Eventually she turned the screen and quickly showed me the baby, the placenta sac, the heart beat fluttering. That was it. No picture to take with me, nothing. I was heart broken. If she were more approachable I would have felt more comfortable asking. I feel like it should be protocol, for the technicians to be more sensitive to pregnancies. They should know or be coached about the experience they give. It's just very disappointing, that this is my first experience compared to what my friends and family members received at other places. I will be asking my doctor to send me to Loudoun Imaging Center next time. I've had to go there in the past for a lump in my Breast and they have always been nothing but kind and professional. I hope I receive a survey from Women's Imaging Center so that I can share this experience with them. read more

Poor customer service and patient care from scheduling all the way through to test completion. My experience: Schedulers did not understand the difference between mammogram and breast ultrasound when I went to make appointments; front desk staff lost prescriptions sent (multiple times) by my physician and other records; technicians and nurses were rude and appeared to be deficient in knowledge; billers/account specialists did not provide consistent or accurate information. The only high point was the radiologist, who had to come in the room to repeat some ultrasound views, who was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Won't return here and would not recommend this place at all. read more

The person who did my mammogram was great! However, the ultrasound tech was curt and unpleasant and the radiologist didn't even bother to come in and tell me my results. I was there for pain in my breast and the ultrasound tech came back and said "He didn't see anything, you can go". I will never go here again read more

Ugh! So I love this place - everything about my previous review remains true. But then my bill came. GAA with this new insurance!! Make sure you can find out what you are going to have to pay, because if you are on the new deductible program that many are doing (we're with Innovation Health/Aetna), be prepared to get a $600 bill for your 20 week ultrasound. UGH. I called our insurance and they said there was a premium associated with this facility being located in a hospital. read more

REALLY disappointed today. My doctor encouraged me to go to this place rather than the radiology places I'd been in the past for a mammogram and sonogram. I was pleased that I was able to schedule them rather quickly, and back to back. I am always put off by being asked to come early so that I can do my paperwork without making them late.... and of course, I was asked to come at 245 for a 300 appt. I was there at 235. The registar didn't even ask me to come back to her desk until 300, and I stressed that I could not stay past 4, as the scheduler assured me they run on time and I'd only need to be there until 4. At 330 they called me back for the mammo. I reiterated my concern and stressed I had to leave at 4. The tech was pleasant but acted like it was none of her concern. At 350 they asked me to wait in the waiting room so they could show the doc the pics and see if we were done. I was very annoyed at this point and said, "So I guess I won't get my sonogram today. Very frustrating!" She asked me why I needed to leave. I told her I didn't ask why she was running late and I shouldn't have to justify to her why I am unwilling to run late. I pointed out that if I was running late I would be told I had missed my appointment, and likely been charged a fee for it (although I do not recall seeing anything in their billing agreement that said that, but I do know it's common practice in many places). I added "and providers should be held accountable too!" She put her hand on her hip and said "We're not McDonalds, we don't work that way. We don't just run you through." I was ticked off. I wanted to smack her.... but I didn't... I dressed and left without speaking to her again, stopping at the front desk to let them know that my films needed to be mailed. They didn't want to do that, but could tell I was highly agitated so they didn't fight me on it, and agreed to do that. Ugh. Very very disappointing experience. read more

This place is not in network to 'United Healthcare' Insurance. Since both are well known and i assumed UHC is in network to them and called them to make an appointment. This facility people did n't even tell me that they are out of network for UHC at the time of making appointment, also during the procedure (Ultra sound). We were shocked when we got a bill around $1500. When we checked with the facility they were happily saying that they are not in network to United Healthcare and i have to pay the said amount and they succeeded in claiming that amount from my pocket. Beware, even though it's well known hospital or Insurance please double check with these guys, else you will end up making hole to your pockets. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. After intense lower abdominal pain, I was referred here for an ultrasound. Made an appointment, and a few days before, I was called by their scheduling department for "pre-check-in." On the call, I was told I'd need to pre-pay for my services. I asked for the total cost and was told they did not have the exact cost, but I could ask when I got to my appointment. Day of appointment: I arrive 15 minutes prior, as requested (which doesn't make sense to me since I preregistered, but whatever...) and end up waiting in the otherwise EMPTY waiting room for 40 minutes. I'm called back to "check-in" and receive a bracelet for an in-patient stay, which was incorrect, as I was in the actual patient room for less than 30 minutes. I mention this to the woman checking me in, who is also taking my "pre-payment" of 10% ($100), and she ignores me. I also ask about total for the services I'm about to receive--Is it going to be $1000 since I was just asked to pay $100 as 10% of total cost? Again, the woman couldn't be bothered and told me maybe yes, maybe no. I should've RUN out at that point, but I figured it was Friday and everyone was just waiting to go home for the weekend. Services: I'm told to get undressed from the waist down and someone will be back in a few minutes. I oblige. Then, A STUDENT--no, not a resident--a current STUDENT (at Georgetown or GW--I forget which one) comes in with the tech. I figure she's there to observe, but nope, the tech hands her everything, and tells THE STUDENT to perform my services. The tech scolds the student the entire time for being unsure of herself, making me feel more than just physically uncomfortable. She also proceeds to ask me inappropriate questions and jokes about my health. I show them where I had been having pain, as they are not doing imaging of the right area and I'm told that they can't do images of both and they were told to focus elsewhere. Even if that were true, why not make the correction in real-time?? All I want to do at that point is get the hell out of there. After, I get dressed, the student is waiting for me outside the room, and thanks me for letting her gain real-life experience...which I never consented to!!! Results: No surprise here...my doctor receives the report (which has the name of the tech, NOT the student as the one who took the images) and tells me they're inconclusive. A few weeks later, I get a bill for $1400 for professional services that I never actually received. Services, yes, but no where near professional. I file a formal complaint regarding how the services were rendered and the inconclusive nature of the student-quality images. No one contacts me at all. I get another bill. I call the third-party billing department as well as Reston Hospital Center's billing department to reexplain myself and ask why no one has even reached out about the (lack of) quality of care. Both departments separately inform me that the Women's Imaging Center/Reston Hospital Center has reviewed the situation and marked my account "proceed on payment collection." At this point, I don't even care about the money, but I am floored that they could not reach out to me in a humane way--or at all!! At this point, I will not be returning to Reston Hospital Center for any services since quality of care is so low on their priority list. read more

I like the facility, I have been a patient here for many years. If comparison to previous mammograms wasn't so important, I would have stopped coming here two years ago. At my most recent visit, I was asked to come 15 minutes early, for paperwork. I have always complied with this "request" and I have always had to wait patiently for my appointment, some times on time, some times late. On my last visit I came 5 minutes late due to a traffic accident. Sandy the receptionist, looked at her watch and stated "I guess we can squeeze you back into the schedule". I reminded her that I have had to wait on them on multiple occasions and I didn't school them on staying on schedule. Her passive aggressive remark was not necessary and rude. I have billing difficulties with this facility as well. Costing me money out of pocket, instead of the routine screenings which are usually covered at 100%. Their billing office refused to edit their mistake, and my exams cost me over $800. Again, I have considered changing to another practice, but comparison purposes I have stayed here. I hope they get their act together next year. I am holding my breath for my billing statement for this year's studies. read more

Frustrating experience. Would not give me a complimentary 4D voucher just because my very first 20-week scan was with a different center. I feel that there is no good LOGICAL reason why it makes a difference if I've been scanned at a different center or not, so long as you can see the baby's anatomy why do they HAVE to be the very FIRST center to scan you? Couldn't talk logical sense into the nurse, looking elsewhere. read more

My 3rd appt with them in 2 months and I will now not return. They ask you to arrive 15 min ahead of your appt and I made it just at my appt time (2 year old in tow can sometimes not work in favor). I wasn't sure it was that big of a deal since I had been there 2 weeks prior. After I had ben there for 10 minutes I was told they were running behind and that they wanted to move me to 1. Not ok. They said they could try and get me in so I waited for 30 minutes and then was told it could be another hour. Had to cut my losses and leave. They took the 11:30 scan right on time so I was bumped so they could get back on schedule. I will now find a new center that doesn't put patients through this BS. read more

I'd been putting off certain radiological procedures for a decade because my prior experiences had been so unpleasant and painful. What a different WIC made! The procedures were not painful even though they remain intrusive, and the staff was quick, organized, professional and responsive. When I called to make the first appointment, the scheduler actually volunteered to try to schedule everything for one appointment instead of stretching it out over weeks, one procedure at a time. I really appreciated that. I'd rather never go through this degrading procedures, but if I have to, this is the place to do it. read more

Not impressed with the quality of the ultrasound techs, unable to identify things properly, needed to have 3 different techs to finally get an answer (which was still hazily given). Dr. Sharda is not personable and really goes off of what the techs say. Imaging center does not follow evidence based treatment guidelines and does not collaborate well with Reston Obgyn practice.
