No wait for a mammogram! The staff couldn't be nicer and on street parking is just around the corner. What more could you want?

Medical Imaging Center of Southern California - And the office art is lovely!

I don't normally write reviews, but after the experience my family and I had at Medical Imaging of…read moreSouthern California, I felt compelled to share our story. couple of weeks ago, I started experiencing some pain in my groin area. My primary care physician ordered a urine test and an AFP blood test. To my complete shock, the AFP results came back elevated. My doctor called me into his office and explained that the blood work showed signs that could be consistent with cancer. Hearing those words was one of the most frightening moments of my life. I consider myself a healthy person with no significant medical history, so this came completely out of nowhere. My wife and I were devastated. Like any parent, my first thoughts were about my two young children. I couldn't stop thinking, "What if I have cancer? What if I won't be here to watch my kids grow up?" My doctor referred me to a urologist, but the earliest appointment we could get was August 5th. To us, that felt like an eternity. Every day waiting was filled with anxiety, fear, and countless sleepless nights. My wife spent an entire Friday calling every urologist and imaging center she could find. We even decided we would pay out of pocket if necessary because we simply couldn't wait. Most places couldn't fit us in or weren't willing to help. Then she called Medical Imaging of Southern California on Wilshire Boulevard. From the very first phone call, everything changed. After hearing our situation, the staff immediately understood the urgency and compassionately found a way to fit me in that very same day. That simple act of kindness meant more to us than words can express. When I arrived, everyone already knew my situation and treated me with genuine care and empathy. There was no feeling of being "just another patient." They made me feel like a person whose fears truly mattered. I especially want to recognize Carla, the ultrasound technologist. She was absolutely incredible. Throughout the entire examination, she remained calm, professional, gentle, and incredibly compassionate. She understood how scared I was and constantly reassured me that I was in good hands. She explained each step of the process, answered my questions with patience, and treated me with kindness that I'll never forget. Healthcare needs more people like Carla. Once my scans were completed, they didn't make me wait days wondering about the results. They were immediately reviewed by Dr. Jabour, who personally met with me afterward. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Jabour. He took the time to carefully review every image with me, explain exactly what he was seeing, and answer every question my wife and I had. He never rushed us. He spoke with confidence, compassion, and honesty. Instead of simply reading a report, he educated us, reassured us, and made sure we understood everything. His calm demeanor, extensive knowledge, and genuine concern immediately put us at ease. By the time we left his office, the fear that had consumed our family for days had been replaced with hope and tremendous relief. It felt like a thousand-pound weight had been lifted off our shoulders. Medical Imaging of Southern California didn't just perform an ultrasound. They changed our lives. They reminded us what healthcare is supposed to be: compassionate, patient-centered, professional, and truly caring. To Dr. Jabour, Carla, and every member of your amazing staff, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for treating us with dignity, kindness, and compassion during one of the scariest moments of our lives. Thank you for taking our concerns seriously and acting so quickly. Most importantly, thank you for giving my family peace of mind and allowing us to smile again. We will never forget what you did for us, and our family will always be grateful. If I could give Medical Imaging of Southern California more than five stars, I absolutely would. They have earned my highest recommendation without hesitation.

I was extremely nervous and uncomfortable during a sensitive exam. She was beyond kind and comforting. Even while the radiologist was scolding her, she remained focused on me and my comfort. She put her hand on my shaking leg and checked in on me. I wish every healthcare provider showed the kind of empathy that she did. The rest of the office and staff - eh. But they did get me in for a last minute exam.

I want to send a special shout out to Sonia who not only helped untangle whatever little blip there…read morewas in my authorization for a yearly mammogram but was warm, friendly and assuring. Since I've got to be proactive about screenings, I needed a provider that I could trust. No other imaging center offers comprehensive AI screenings for a small additional fee... what peace of mind. Thank you Sonia and everyone else who works so hard (on weekends!) to deliver the care and service that women like me need.

I really don't understand how this place operates. After a car accident, the doctor at Urgent Care…read moretold me I needed an MRI, but this clinic has been 'waiting for authorization' for over 12 business days now. Every time I call, I either get no real answer or empty promises that go nowhere. I gave this clinic all the necessary documents and was told to wait for insurance authorization. To speed things up, I even called my insurance company myself -- and they said no request had ever been received. When I followed up with the clinic again, they blamed Urgent Care. I contacted Urgent Care directly, and they confirmed everything had already been sent. I even provided this clinic's fax number so they could resend it. Still, nothing happened. The clinic originally told me the process would take 5-10 business days. After 10 days, I was told to 'just keep waiting.' Now it's been 12 business days with zero progress, zero clear communication, and zero accountability. This delay has put my health at risk, forcing me to start physical therapy without the MRI results I was supposed to have. The lack of coordination and care is extremely frustrating and completely unprofessional. Honestly, it feels like they just don't care about their patients at all.

I've use that option and they do call back but going through the process is painful and tedious. Especially when you're getting a CAT scan a couple of times after completing the questionnaire, which is questions, I was disconnected and the person on the other line didn't call me back. Of course when you called the number back, you just go back to the call center. Why to get an appointment is an impossibility? Of course UCLA doctors want to keep everything within UCLA - they say it makes it easier for the doctors because of the epic system with the UCLA my chart that is HIPAA compliant, however, I beg to differ, I used to fall for that spiel, but I really think it's just to make more money for UCLA. The Behemouth said it's come to be. all of the hurdles and jumps you have to go through and the wait times are not worth making an appointment at this place and then to top it off once we had the CAT scan, it didn't show up in the MyChart for a week, even though it was posted as being urgent. I would've been better off going to the ER. Now I know why all the ERs are so crowded. The lack of care and patient safety and regard for the patient's health is lacking here grow grossly. my advice is to go to an imaging place outside of UCLA. Have the doctors order fax it to a privately owned imaging company and it will be much smoother sailing and it'll make your life less stressful. I'm not coming back here.
