It is a wonder they are still in business I was Charged 9.99 plus tax and 4% credit card fee for a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese with extra cheese on a toasted onion bagel. I received a Taylor ham and egg sandwich NO CHEESE, NOT TOASTED, with 2 slices of Taylor ham. This is after a 25 minute wait for this disgrace. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Wonder Bagel has been my go-to bagel shop in NJ for years. This was my first visit to the Bayonne WB location. I stopped in to WB after shopping at Michael's next door for a quick breakfast bite in between errands. Happy to see a WB, i didn't check the reviews after checking-in (tsk tsk, amateur). I ordered my usual cinamon raisin bagel with cinamon raisin walnut cream cheese and should have checked my takeout order before I left. The bagel itself was over cooked and the shell was hard and cracking. The specialty cream cheese was not fresh. The cream cheese was not creamy but crumbly. I am sure the employee's know the difference between fresh and stale and just did not care. I will stick to my regular Jersey City Wonder Bagels from now on. read more

Honey Turkey on Wheat Wrap w/ Swiss Cheese: The honey turkey was definitely something different to me and was not dry. The swiss cheese tasted amazing with the honey turkey. Surprisingly the wheat wrap did not taste bad like the one's down in Edison, NJ area. I recently stopped at this Wonder Bagels location early in the morning before heading to work. They offered plenty of parking spots in the large parking lot area. Once inside, it wasn't too crowded. Just one person ahead of me ordering. They looked to have had a good selection of bagel choices (as well as cream cheese spreads). But, I went with a bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich on an everything bagel, toasted. My order came out quick, which I liked that they were fast and efficient. Upon opening my sandwich, it looked amazing. The bacon was crispy, which is the way I like my bacon. They put a good amount of egg and meat on the sandwich too. Just from looking at it, I knew it was going to be a good sandwich. After taking a few bites, I was correct. It was delicious. The bagel was fresh, and everything just tasted great. I really enjoyed it, and it was the perfect start to my morning. Can't wait to come back to try different bagels and sandwich options here. read more

Walked in and up to the cash register. No greeting, no acknowledgment. The man behind me gets served a coffee and then they go to take the next persons order, completely ignoring me and my mother at the register. Not a fan of that kinda of service. I cannot believe the lack of precautions at this place. The woman that asked to help me had her mask UNDER her nose and no gloves on. I asked her to please pull up her mask to cover her nose and she says "it's hard to breathe". Then I notice the guy touching and cooking food NOT WEARING A MASK AND NOT WEARING GLOVES. the manager asked if I was ok and I said I'm uncomfortable with this man not wearing a mask. Boy do I love me some wonder bagels but I will not be coming back to this location. I did an order for pick up over the phone (simple) and went to pick up. Walked in, waited my turn as the girl behind the counter was helping others, another woman walks in and says she's here for pick and the girl asks if my order was hers and she says no and begins helping her with hers! I said, "excuse me, no that's my order and I have been waiting here for my turn". They both look at me, don't have acknowledge and she continues to help the woman who just walked in. (Honestly I wouldn't be this bothered except it's during a time where I wanted to run in and out and stay in this store as little as possible). So great, except her order wasn't ready so she had finish making the coffee as my iced coffee now sat melting and my food cold. After she's done preparing her order and paying with cash... Now, I receive my order, pay, okay. My iced coffee is watery and my bagels are burnt (see photos). I asked for 2 onion bagels toasted w sausage egg cheese and hash browns. The bagels would have been great minus the burnt. For the service during COVID and 2 bagels I give two stars. I'll stick to the wonder bagels in jersey city, never had a problem with any orders at those locations. read more

I went with an egg white, cheese, tomato and turkey bacon on toast with a fruit salad. Not bad for $8 and change. I have been going to this Wonder Bagels location for just about a year now and I can confidently say that I have no clue as to what these 1 and 2-star reviews are about. You know the true quality of the food at a cheaper restaurant by the type of people going there: and basically what I mean to say is that if you have the police, coast-guard and other public servants coming here all the time, then your restaurant probably has a good standing with the Board of Health. Aside from the bad jokes, this place is wonderful. Speaking as a vegetarian who really likes to cut down on the cheese, there are endless options: Salads, Vegan Dolma, awesome vegetarian wraps, and even tofu-based cream cheese!! The only reason this should be rated anything lower than 5 stars is location, as I would love for them to be closer to the light rail and not somewhere like Route 440 where I am forced to drive. Stopped in for a bagel while my daughter was getting her hair cut next door. I asked for a bagel with butter. I received a bagel with cream cheese. Strike 1. Strike 2: bagel is very bready and tastes day old. Strike 3: it's a garlic bagel with barely any garlic on it. Strike 4: their prices are higher than any other place in Bayonne. I'll go down to the different bagel shops on Broadway and avoid this place if this is indicative of their offerings. There was a line when I walked in but the cashiers were chatting at each other. Pretty solid bagels. All cooked right on site...tough to get that fresh of a bagel these days. If you like a little crunch to your bagel you have to ask for it to be double toasted. Single toasted only yields a hot chewy bagel. Coffee needs some help...wasn't a big fan of that..just my personal taste. Overall, I'd go here every day if I lived closer. read more

I've been a long time customer at the Wonder Bagel on Rt. 440 so I was kind of hestiant to try this one but it was right next to my gym. As per usual, busy on a Saturday but we were able to order, eat and get in & out within 30 mins! The service was average, nothing specular but the bagels are superb. Freshly made, and jumbo sized. Only complaint was the chicken salad was bland and had no taste, it tasted as if there was only chicken with mayo. No fuego! I'll def be back for more bagels though! Happy eatings! read more

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I come here to order breakfast and both times they do not have what I want. The first time, last week, they at least told me as soon as I ordered. I go back today & order my breakfast & am standing no there waiting for more than 10 minutes. At the end, the young man who took my order, says to me that he is sorry, but they have no more plain rolls. This after just standing there by the register for a couple of minutes not take my care of anyone while I was standing right in front of me. No none during that time came over and said anything to him. So here I am waiting again, and then he just tells me they don't have what I want. Another waste of my time at this level cation & definitely would not recommend it to anyone. Delicious bagels and a much larger store than the original location. It does not have all the charm of the original location but it has all the taste. For the bagels, all are great so just go with what you love. The cream cheeses are amazing. The lox spread actually has pieces of lox in it. The small size is enough to use on 3-4 bagels. The scallion spread is also amazing. Their vegetable is just OK but that might be own personal taste. The coffee is decent, don't expect it to be amazing. There are no flavors for it but just your average cup of Joe. read more

I like this Wonder Bagel's very much. I'm not a Jersey native but I've seen this chain around before. I was excited to try it when they moved to Bayonne. I like the bagels here a lot. They're lighter and not dense like at most other places. They're generous with the cream cheese, which I like. I've also ordered egg sandwiches on bagels and rolls. My only gripe is that they seldom offer tofu cream cheese (on occasion I try to be heart healthy and get tofu instead of cream cheese). If they do offer the tofu, it's plain with no flavoring. They also offer 4 freshly squeezed juices. No green drinks but rather some sweet ones. One day I'm gonna splurge and get the NY Bagel (lox, cream cheese, onion the works). It's pricey for a breakfast item (about $10) but I want it! read more

Love Wonder Bagel.... Every Saturday after my work out I treat myself to a bagel. I love their egg everything bagel! And they have delicious cream cheese flavors too! The staff is always friendly and smiles which is a big deal to me anywhere I do business. The only reason I wouldn't give a full 5 stars is because I think they are a tiny bit overpriced for a deli. It's always jumping in the mornings, which is a positive, as the employees work harder and faster to keep the line moving. Gina does a great job expediting. Longest I've ever waited for a sandwich is maybe 5 minutes. Bagels are always fresh, and I love the many different cream cheeses they have. Breakfast sandwiches are perfectly sized, and they will ask if you want salt pepper ketchup. Come in for lunch and be treated with generous portions. Coffee is where they lose the one star. The food is equal to the other Wonder Bagels locations, so don't worry about that. Worried that even though this place is never busy, you will be waiting quite a while for your order. I had to wait quite awhile once because the people working the register were really busy socializing with certain customers that were their friends and ignoring other customers, and another time for no discernible reason at all. I think basically they aren't busy enough yet to have as much stuff already cooking as the other locations do, that's why the place can be empty but you still end up waiting.
