It tasted like college cafeteria food. I think some of the food was probably frozen and reheated. But the price and discounts were great.

I don't know how I overlook this place each time I am near. I somehow just associate it with the…read moreMetro station and forget that it is its own standalone business. I think what happens is that I mindlessly walk through here as I use it as a passageway. I need to start paying attention to what is in here and keep note of it. Basically this is a mall. Like every mall just about everywhere, they are without some businesses. But, I will say this about the DMV area, even with some shops being empty, the malls still know how to draw people in. Even if it is just for the food options. This place has a ton of food options and some of the places in here are the only place in DC to find them, or at least a place where it is fairly easy to get to in order to visit the business. They got the run of the chains you would see in almost any food court. Charleys, Five Guys, Jamba Juice, Moe's, Panda Express, Starbucks, Subway, etc. But there are a lot of mom and pop stands mixed in. You can definitely find something for your lunch or a quick snack. This is one of the only places I have seen a Church's Chicken in the city. It can be a maze walking through here, especially if you arrive via Metro. But like I said, it is a great passageway to get yourself to areas without having to be outside. With the Spy Museum on the one end it's a great place to spend a day in the city. The Wharf not too far either. There are a few shops throughout as well. Mostly open during daylight hours if you need to grab a thing or two. Everything from a post office to a convenience type store. If you are lucky enough to work nearby, I am sure this is busy around the lunchtime hour.

A little confused what this is. I think it's a fancy train station/transfer hub, I guess. Anyway, I…read morefound out about it because I was staying at the hotel nearby. If you're staying at the Hilton, there's a direct connection to it from the hotel. So this place is helpful because it has several fast food options. Nothing to rave about, but when you're traveling access to quick, fast food is important. Many food places either seemed always closed when I went a few times or open at inconsistent times. The place also never seems busy. Kinda ghost town-ish. Panda Express seemed to be the main attraction here. All together tho, it was clean. I think the space has potential to be a more useful shopping space for people.

Delicious (but spicy) food with a fusion twist - fun atmosphere (kids can play claw games while you…read morewait), and tons of flavor. I've been to TaKorean twice and both times I leave with a happy belly and a smile. Our go-to family favorites are the Avocado Fries, Birria Ramen, and Nori Tacos. The avocado fries are lightly breaded and dusted with a spicy powder - they're the perfect combination of crispy and creamy and come with a dipping sauce that has a bit of sweetness to it. If you can't handle spice, they can adjust it for you, but I absolutely love the Birria ramen which is a mixture of their plain ramen broth (not spicy) with their guajillo consomme (packs a nice kick). Disclaimer - the ramen has egg in it - which isn't mentioned on the menu, so just something to be aware of. I've had it twice and both times there was egg - which I didn't mind at all, but it was unexpected. My husband has tried the beef birria, bulgogi, nori, spicy fire, and crispy shrimp tacos, but his favorite is the nori which has a crispy seaweed shell and spicy tuna with avocado to cool it off. We've also tried the loaded buldak fries, shrimp burger, and beef bulgolgi bowl - all had great flavor, but my kids definitely can't take the heat - so we'll have to modify next time we come in. The drinks are also

I got the pulled pork tacos and chicken tacos, and the meat was the main issue. It was a little dry and didn't have much flavor. With Korean-inspired food, I expected more savory depth, maybe some sweetness from a marinade, a little vinegar, sesame, or stronger grilled flavor. They have a big griddle, but the meat didn't really taste like it was cooked fresh on it. It felt more like the ingredients were assembled rather than cooked together into something cohesive. The tacos also didn't really read as Korean or Mexican to me, aside from the sauce. The individual ingredients seemed fine, but together they didn't have much punch. The "kimchi" was also disappointing. It tasted more like slaw with gochujang than actual fermented kimchi. Price was around $13 or $14 for three tacos, which is not shocking these days, but it felt a bit high for what it was. They do have a Tuesday special, I think around $9 for three tacos, which is probably the better time to try it. The atmosphere is also a little flat. Every time I've gone, it has felt pretty empty rather than bustling. Overall, it's not bad, and I still go because it's convenient, but I was hoping for more flavor and more of a clear Korean-Mexican identity.

Everything here is pretty good. But the Mexican food was just okay (beans and cheese dip tasted canned/powdered), while the tacos were pretty standard. But my partner enjoyed having his coffee and juice here as well as the pizza. Overall we really enjoyed the concept of this place -- the shared community space, the tall ceilings, and the fast and seamless ordering system. You can order at any kiosk/stand, but it's better to grab a table, sit down, and order from the unique link you scan from each table's unique QR code link, and they bring the food to you. It's a model ahead of its time but one that makes it easy to order your food (though I can see the drawbacks like having to order once you get to the building since there are unique QR codes that prevent you from ordering food when you're not there. I honestly would give the food closer to 4 stars, but my partner had such positive experiences at this place that I am giving it 5 stars.
