My hair had some breakage and damage when I came in to Doris and I left with a fresh clean slate. All dead ends are gone and Doris has given me the ability to push the "restart" button on my hair care routine. Also Doris gives you a lot of services for the relaxer treatments, she gives you a pre-relaxer prep that prepares the scalp, a deep conditioner,and she has many different types of relaxers. Because I had so much new growth she gave me a relaxer that is intended for sensitive scalps and of course a relaxer will always be a relaxer. This is why I appreciate how Doris does not let the relaxer sit in your hair. She gets it in,smooths it quickly, and rinses it right out! She gave me the cutest haircut that frames my face quite well and despite having to cut off my dead ends, I still retained a good amount of length. For the trial, I worked with Cielo and she was just a pleasure to work with. She truly listened to my vision and what I wanted for my bridal look. I was obsessed with the hair from the jump (it look just like my inspo pic) and my makeup looked great but I had a few things I wanted to slightly tweak for the wedding day and she absolutely made the changes (a bit fuller coverage, warmer more bronzed/blush look). On the wedding day, the team (Kikki, Ben, and Cielo) showed up early and ready to set up. They had their work stations all ready to go by 8am and were very professional. They were so fun to talk to and also really listened to everyone's visions. My husband's mom isn't a big makeup wearer but wanted to get a set of fake lashes glued on and didn't know how, so they even did that for her using their lashes for free. She was pleased. Kikki offered airbrush or regular base for makeup which was nice to have the option. I have a small tattoo on my collarbone I wanted gone for the wedding and Cielo covered it up perfectly. Seriously you could not see it. Ben killed it with the hair and was touching girls hair up close to the end for the girls who went earlier. Finally, working with Liz as the point of contact at Refined Beauty for booking was wonderful. She communicated throughout the entire process, updated my contract when we had a few changes to hair/makeup count, answered all my questions, made my wedding day MU&H timeline for me, checked in after my trial to get my honest thoughts and then checked in before the wedding again to confirm everything. I highly recommend Refined Beauty for any wedding; they can handle a large group, executed our visions, and I can tell they really love what they do! We've spent thousands of dollars over time and built what we thought was a positive relationship with your team. However, I'm deeply disappointed by how I was treated recently. Months ago, I had to cancel an appointment on the day our beloved golden retriever passed away. It was an emotional, heartbreaking day, and canceling was not a decision I took lightly. Since then, I attempted to rebook verbally for a future date and called to confirm--only to be told you would no longer accept advance bookings from me. I was told I could only do same-day appointments due to "multiple cancellations." One of those was the day my dog died. The lack of empathy, understanding, or even basic professional courtesy in this situation is staggering. There was no outreach, no consideration for our long history as paying, respectful clients. Instead, I was shut out. This is not how a professional salon should treat anyone--let alone a loyal customer. I'm shocked and hurt by the cold, dismissive response I received, and I'm still waiting to hear from a manager. Frankly, I don't understand what kind of customer service process allows for this kind of treatment. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend your salon to others based on this experience. Wendy is the best stylist I have ever been to, Hands down…read more This is my second visit. The first time I went for a shampoo, conditioning treatment, cut and style. It was a drastic change for me (almost 12 inches!) and I couldn't be happier. Today we are back for a Brazilian Blowout treatment for my sister and the results are amazing! Wendy takes her time to explain what she is doing and explore all the options with you. She also has a great eye and an obvious passion for what she does. The location is inside "Chrysalis Salon and Spa" but I have not interacted with anyone but Wendy. The building is clean and very stylish. There are a number of different types of services available, from nail to massage to hair. Overall a very classy and comfortable place to come. I plan on coming back here for all my cut and style needs. The prices are fair and the service is impeccable. Thanks Wendy!
