We've spent thousands of dollars over time and built what we thought was a positive relationship with your team. However, I'm deeply disappointed by how I was treated recently. Months ago, I had to cancel an appointment on the day our beloved golden retriever passed away. It was an emotional, heartbreaking day, and canceling was not a decision I took lightly. Since then, I attempted to rebook verbally for a future date and called to confirm--only to be told you would no longer accept advance bookings from me. I was told I could only do same-day appointments due to "multiple cancellations." One of those was the day my dog died. The lack of empathy, understanding, or even basic professional courtesy in this situation is staggering. There was no outreach, no consideration for our long history as paying, respectful clients. DO NOT come here for a LASH LIFT ! I went yesterday: right eye turned out as expected but the left eye is bad. The lashes are crisscrossed! I now have a v shaped gap in my lashes. After the session she gave me the mirror and I said what's going on here. It's like there's a gap. She replied, yeah I saw that. I asked if she thought it would fix with mascara she said yes. The real answer is no. I called this morning and talked to manager, Allison, who, while interrupting me many times, acquiesced to giving me a refund credit at the salon. Amazing experience today at Zano with Myla. She had a good reviews from other customers, so I decided to book my appointment with her, couldn't have made a better choice!!! I had blonde hair until Dec 2019 when I decided to do a quick touch up at home for my grays and my hair turned out super dark... so I had to wait a few weeks to color agaiin, and here I was todaY, with virtually no hope of being blonde any time soon! I figured it would take months to get anywhere close to being blonde again.... well, I was wrong! Unfortunately, i didnt see what had been done till after the fact when i got home, showered, and styled my own hair the next day. Hair is hair and it will grow back (so no big deal) but i highly recommend maybe searching your stylist before making an appointment if you're very picky with your haircuts. Me and another person went to get haircuts here hoping to find a new forever salon. The place seemed nice enough walking in, but we were both assigned to hair stylists that appeared to have no idea what they were doing with hair, unfortunately. My hair was just chopped in sections with no lining up or review of the final product, and I was left with hair so choppy and uneven I had to go back to the salon the next day to get it straightened out. (It was so obviously uneven even a non-professional should have caught the issue!) I went in with hair that was down to the middle of my back and ended up with hair just below my ears because so much had to be chopped to even the cut out. On top of all this, the person cutting my hair was asking incredibly personal, inappropriate questions. I felt like there was more interest in getting involved in my private life than cutting my hair. I also got unsolicited comments about my lifestyle and appearance, like how I would look better without glasses or don't look good with short hair (even though the entire purpose of me being there was to get a hair cut). (Really, the haircut was bad enough on top of the lack of professionalism and violation of boundaries...) The person I was with also got the sense that their stylist wasn't comfortable cutting hair (apparently her speciality was pedicures?). While my cut took maybe 10 minutes, hers took 5x as long just because the person cutting kept checking every section. I still am in disbelief at how awful this haircut experience was. It was traumatizing and really unacceptable for a salon. I cannot stress enough how horrible I felt after my experience here. My takeaway was the salon lets anyone cut hair whether they're comfortable doing so or not. So either select a stylist carefully or opt for a different salon. Please. read more

The girl seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and it looked nothing like what I wanted so eventually I told her to just leave it as is since she wasn't giving me the results I wanted. So I scheduled a hair coloring with Charles Ifergan salon and decided to ask what the professional stylist thought of the back of my hair and sure enough they said the same thing! I immediately called Zanos on ogden and asked to speak to a manager which was Christine and she said because the two weeks passed after my haircut that she couldn't do anything! And I only asked for them to even out the back and she wanted to charge me full price for a new haircut! FU Zanos! Now I'm waiting to here from corporate. Do not go to this salon! It had been nearly a year since my last cut (due to the pandemic). This coupled with the fact that we recently moved to the area, I was extremely nervous to find a new stylist nearby. This was my first time at Zano Salon, I booked a cut with Maurice and was really happy with my experience! He took his time during our consultation to really listen to what I wanted, and Maurice was transparent about how he was going to go about the cut. He was also really good about answering any questions I had throughout the appointment. I am in love with how my hair looks, I got exactly what I was looking for! I've been to Zano twice now for a blowout and my experiences were excellent! Confession: I treat myself to a blowout like twice a month. I'm not partial to a certain salon or dry bar mostly because I book my blowouts last minute when I'm having a busy week, need an hour to myself, or am just too exhausted to wash, blowdry, and style my long thick hair. I was able to book a blowout easily the day before and the day of which was awesome. The salon is so peaceful and quiet. I was greeted upon my arrival, my coat was hung up, and I was offered a beverage. I had a different stylist both times but they both did a great job with my hair. My first stylist gave an awesome scalp massage when she was washing my hair and even a neck and shoulder massage before styling too! Talk about relaxing. A blowout is $35, but as a first time client I got $10 off which was sweet. If you want any hot tools styling I believe it's an additional $15. I ended up just getting my hair blown out with a round brush. I'll definitely be back to Zano! It's a full salon and spa so you can get a massage, haircut, mani/pedi, and more. I did try to just pop in for a manicure one day though and they didn't have a manicurist working at the time, so it seems like it's best to book ahead of time here. read more

It looks like most of the reviews here are for hair services, so I will be diverging from the pack as I review my massage. Honestly, I just thought Zano was a salon and didn't realize that they had spa services. But once I found out, I had to try them out. They're located right in downtown Naperville so it's a very convenient spot. I was worried that the salon noise might bleed through to the treatment rooms, but the two areas were very well separated and the sound did not travel. However, the elevator, and the washroom (perhaps because of the drain in the floor?), did bear restaurant smells, presumably from Catch 35 (the restaurant downstairs); the spa itself did not have cooking smells, thankfully. I had my massage with Lisa, who spent some time with me beforehand discussing my pain and tension issues; based on this, she did a great job with my massage. She had a really great "flow" of movement, so after a while the movement of limbs really began to feel like the ebb and flow of the ocean (it sounds weird until you are experiencing it). We had discussed the depth of pressure and she adhered to it admirably. She also incorporated a scented eye mask, heated pack on my back and fragrant but not cloying cream. Overall, this was a restful yet definitely restorative massage; it was definitely not just about relaxation, but also about breaking up bad knots. It was nice that both aspects could occur in the same massage. I would certainly return to Lisa for this aspect alone; so often a deep tissue massage feels like "work," but she created a good balance. Zano was a nice setting (aside from the restaurant-scented bathroom), with very friendly desk staff on the phone and when I arrived and departed. I should also mention that the price listing on the website was a bit confusing; apparently massages start at a certain price and then depending on what level of technician they put you with, the price can be higher, and this wasn't terribly clear to me, so the cost was a bit higher than I expected, since Lisa turned out to be a senior staff member (they just booked me with someone; I didn't know anyone there, and they didn't tell me their level, or that there was a difference in price). It wasn't a big deal, but if you're in doubt, you might want to inquire when you're booking the appointment. It would have been nice to have known ahead. Overall, for the convenient location and superb service, I will return to Zano and Lisa for future massage needs. read more

I'm going to be honest, I landed at Zano's because the lady that usually cuts my hair was no longer available on Mondays, and I was leaving for a road trip the next day. It was close, it was convenient, and open late so I made an appointment. First, let me begin with the ambience - it's great. From the soft lighting, the relaxing environment to the infused water, it's all delightful. In addition to that, the service is fantastic, and the receptionist and the stylist were both very courteous and sweet. I was paired with Becky who took her time trying to understand my concerns, and make great conversation. Trust me, I'm very wary about talkative service-people, because usually that means they aren't doing their job. But not Becky, she was absolutely fantastic. Yes, the cuts are more pricey than your run of the mill haircutting salon however your cut comes with styling, and complimentary neck and shoulder massages (limited to 5 minutes) - personally, I'm definitely thinking of adopting this salon as my new haircutting salon!!! I had my appt with Riley for a color/highlight. When I got there I was told they don't accept cash. That should have been told to me at time of booking appt. I had my hair color/highlighted. There was no way for me to see the finished color of my hair because they do not blow dry due to Covid-19. Again, should have been notified. When I got home and dried it it was very brassy. Riley advised me when I asked about it being brassy she said it won't be. Well, it is. Don't go to any salon's who won't dry your hair so you can see the color. I understand Covid-19, but the guidelines allow blow drying. Why Zano Salon is not drying is anyone's guess. Would not go back for these reasons. read more
