1 star. Absolutely unprofessional and completely untrustworthy. I honestly should have listened to the terrible Yelp reviews before coming here. I saw them, but I decided to give this dealership the benefit of the doubt and trusted what they told me. That was a mistake. This dealership gave me an out the door quote in writing by text message. I relied on that quote and drove over an hour to the dealership expecting to purchase the vehicle at the price they gave me. When I arrived, they suddenly claimed the quote was a "mistake" and that the employee who sent it shouldn't have sent it out. They then refused to honor the written quote. If you make a mistake, you should take responsibility for it. Instead, they wasted over two hours of my time and basically said, "Sorry, our employee shouldn't have done that." That's not how you treat a customer who made a long drive based on a price your dealership gave them in writing. I told them I would be reporting the situation to Toyota corporate because I found the entire situation completely unacceptable. What made it even worse was the manager's response. You would think a manager would at least be concerned about a customer who had driven over an hour based on a written quote. Instead, he basically shrugged it off and didn't seem to care at all. That told me everything I needed to know about how this dealership operates. Then I showed them another deal I had been offered by a different Toyota dealer. They told me the deal was "impossible" and that the other dealer couldn't actually give me that price. Well, guess what? I ended up getting that exact deal from the other dealer and getting the car I wanted so I guess other dealers can make impossible deals? So not only did they refuse to honor their own written quote, they also lied and told me another dealer's offer was impossible when it turned out to be completely legitimate. I've dealt with a lot of car dealerships, and this was by far some of the most unprofessional conduct I've ever experienced. The lack of accountability, the disregard for my time, and the willingness to say whatever was necessary to get me through the door was unbelievable. I gave this dealership the benefit of the doubt despite their terrible Yelp reviews, and I regret it. I should have listened to the reviews. There is no point in getting anything in writing since they won't honor it and this Dealership cannot be trusted at all. Worst of all they constantly spam your phone with AI messages. I had to tell them to put me on the no call this multiple times before I finally just blocked all of their numbers. read more

Complete waste of time! incredibly unprofessional! I inquired about a vehicle and was specifically told it was available. I made an appointment to see it two hours later. About 30 minutes after making the appointment, the dealership called me to confirm that I was still coming, which I confirmed. Then, 30 minutes before my appointment, a manager called me AGAIN to ask if I was on my way. He told me he wanted to make sure the car was washed and cleaned so it would be ready for me to test drive. I told him I had literally just gotten on the freeway and was about 30 minutes away. He told me he was excited to meet me and that he would see me soon. I drove all the way to the dealership, arrived exactly when expected, and was told that Sergio--the person I had the appointment with--was busy with another customer. Then someone else came out and casually informed me that the car had just sold. Seriously? So sometime during the 30 minutes between your manager personally confirming I was already on the freeway and my arrival, the vehicle supposedly sold--and not one person thought it might be appropriate to pick up the phone and tell me not to keep driving there? Either the dealership has absolutely terrible communication internally, has zero respect for a customer's time, or they were perfectly happy to let me drive all the way there knowing the vehicle I specifically came to see was no longer available. None of those explanations reflect well on the dealership. I understand that cars sell. That's not the issue. The issue is how this dealership handled it. You don't call a customer 30 minutes before an appointment, confirm they're actively driving to you, tell them you're getting the vehicle cleaned for their test drive, and then let them arrive only to discover it has already been sold. My time matters, and this was an incredibly disrespectful way to treat a prospective customer. There are plenty of dealerships that understand basic communication and professionalism. Save yourself the wasted drive and work with one of them instead. I would never come back here. read more

I've been on the hunt for a car for a month, my dream car. My own car that I've finally picked on my own that I like. I want to thank Yessica for going above and beyond to at least try to get my car. I hate how I got 3-4 calls per day. I hated talking to the scheduling Person, Ms. Muro, she was adamant to schedule with me. She made an unnecessary comment about my situation and my co-signer. Gavin made an unnecessary comment about my employment during the test drive. I explained my situation, my why, and gave it all I could to try to work with a place that was actually willing to work with me. But these are ALL terrible people who unprofessionally spoke to me and wouldn't understand my situation. This experience was different. I think in total I have spent 9 hours in this dealership. And I've never been so disappointed, I've cried in the dealership. Being scolded like a little kid by the manager, that I shouldn't be getting a car that isn't for me, but I should settle for their overstocked model. I was asked to downgrade, and not be sold the vehicle I wanted. Instead of being an easy process, I've never been so overwhelmed and stressed over getting paperwork done just to qualify. Then the Amount of back handed comments during test driving, negotiations, and the process, the fact I was trying to be sold a "new" car w/ 126 miles on it pushed it. When I said I didn't want the deal, I had to beg for my keys and title. I was held in the dealership for an extra 2 hours to talk to 3 different managers. Just to be sure I wasn't convinced to get an overstocked vehicle model that I had said no from the beginning to. This was so heartbreaking and frustrating for me. I wasted my entire day for nothing. I was left alone 75% of the time I was in here. I had 3 different sales people. Only one actually tried. Yessica was amazing, she was so attentive and went through the process with me. She tried harder than anyone I worked with so far. But other than that, I don't think this place is it. read more

Complaint Against: Wondries Toyota 1439 W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801 I purchased a brand new Toyota in June 2023 from Toyota of Glendale and have been a loyal customer returning for all three years of complimentary service. I recently moved and chose Wondries Toyota as my nearest dealership after all four of my tires were stolen from my home. My service manager Danny was professional and communicative throughout the process, and I appreciated his responsiveness. However, when I picked up my vehicle on Friday, May 1st, my car was covered in white paste. I immediately asked if my rims were scratched and was told no. The following Wednesday I washed my car and discovered that all four rims were chipped and scratched with metal peeling off -- damage that was not present when I dropped off my vehicle. My insurance paid this dealership $6,000 in labor for this service. When I contacted the dealership, rather than taking responsibility and ordering replacement rims, they proposed sending my vehicle to a third party repair shop which would take a week. As a college student currently in finals week, I cannot be without my vehicle to attend my exams. I proposed a reasonable solution bring my car in, order new rims overnight, and install them the following day but they refused. Chipped metal cannot simply be refinished these rims need to be replaced. This dealership damaged my property while in their care and is refusing to provide a timely, adequate resolution. read more

This dealership already has a 2.7-star rating with over 1,100 reviews, so I honestly don't think one more review is going to change anything. After today, I completely understand why. First, I'm reusing the picture another Yelper posted a couple of days ago because I didn't get this employee's name or take a picture myself, but I'm pretty sure it's the same guy. We came here to cancel our reservation for a Supra and get our deposit refunded. We actually came here yesterday first, waited almost 3 hours without anyone helping us, and eventually just left because the service was ridiculously slow. We came back today thinking it would be quicker. After about five minutes, this employee came over and asked for the last four digits of the card we used for the deposit. Since we paid with Apple Pay, we didn't realize Apple Pay uses a different virtual card number than the physical card, so we gave him the last four digits of the actual card. He looked it up and immediately said, "Nope, doesn't match." We tried another card. "Nope, not on my file." After only two attempts he said, "I'll be back." Well... he wasn't exactly "back." Instead, he spent about five minutes talking to another employee and two other people, then disappeared somewhere else for another ten minutes. After that, he went into his office and just sat there for another 10-15 minutes while we were still outside waiting. I honestly thought he forgot about us. I eventually walked over near the office entrance (I wasn't about to walk into an Employees Only area) and asked another employee if he could remind him that we'd been waiting. He went inside, talked to him, then walked back out laughing. Maybe it wasn't about us, maybe it was, but it definitely wasn't professional. When he finally came back, I tried explaining that Apple Pay uses a different card number than the physical card and that we should probably check the Apple Pay number instead. He completely ignored me. He kept insisting that my friend needed to pull up the bank statement and checking account information. My friend was the cardholder, but I was the one trying to explain what was going on because my friend is pretty quiet. I wasn't interrupting him or arguing with him, I was literally trying to help him solve the problem faster, but he acted like I wasn't even standing there. Then, after wasting all that time asking for the checking account information, he finally checked the Apple Pay card number... the exact thing I had been trying to tell him from the beginning. Surprise, it worked immediately. He printed the refund receipt, handed it to us, said, "Thank you very much," and started walking away. My friend even asked, "That's it?" He didn't respond, didn't turn around, didn't say sorry for the wait, didn't say have a nice day, didn't even say goodbye. Just walked off. One thing I'll never understand is employees who act like customers are bothering them. This is a Toyota dealership, not some exclusive luxury brand where you're doing people a favor by talking to them. Whether someone is buying a car, canceling a reservation, or just asking a question, every single person who walks through your doors is a potential customer. Basic communication and respect really aren't that hard. We weren't buying a car today, but good customer service would've made us consider coming back in the future. Instead, this experience guaranteed we won't. Between this kind of service and all the dealer add-ons people already complain about, I can honestly see why this place has a 2.7-star rating. read more

This journey began on May 21st, where I met Sales Representative, Luis Quiroz, and test drove the 2026 RAV4 Woodland edition. Luis was very excited for this vehicle and made me feel like it belonged to me and me to it. After a couple of weeks test driving other vehicles, I had decided that the RAV4 Woodland in urban rock color was car I wanted. On June 3rd, me and my wife went back to Wondries Toyota and met with Luis. We negotiated to a good price and made my deposit. Luis was very accommodating during our appointment and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Since this vehicle is very niche being a "Woodland" edition and RAV4s in high demand, it would take 4-6 weeks for the vehicle to be delivered. During that period, Luis kept in touch with me, letting me know when the vehicle was being built, when it was in route from the factory, and updating me on the window of arrival. 7/1/2026, the RAV4 Woodland arrived. Without getting into details, it was quite the adventure getting to Wondries that day. Me and my family arrived super late, but Luis knew how important it was to me to get this deal officially done. He wasn't rushing us to get out being so late, but rather made us feel he was genuinely happy for me and my family. We were very satisfied with the service Luis and the rest of the Wondries Toyota family gave us during this whole process. Thank you Luis for being a big part of this journey. read more

First of all, I would like to share my bad experience with this dealership. Before I came in, they texted me a video of the car and told me it was ready for a test drive and available for purchase. However, when I arrived at the dealership, I was suddenly told that the car was no longer available. Instead, they tried to offer me a similar vehicle at a different price. My main question to the manager was simple: why couldn't they give me a courteous call beforehand, just like they did when they were trying to sell me the vehicle? The manager responded by saying, "That's not my job," which I found very unprofessional. I do not recommend this dealership, especially if you are not experienced with car buying or prepared to deal with aggressive sales tactics. Day 1, sales Ying and fin manager confirmed to me 3 times that the specific car is there and available. Drove an hour and a half to get there, sat down for nonsense conversation and told me the car was gone and sold just before I arrived. Another dealer looked up the vin history of that car and it was actually sold a day before. A week later, another sales Aaron called me 4 times and confirmed another same spec vehicle just came and available. I drove there and receptionist told me Aaron went home sick at noon time, sales manager came out to greet us and told me Aaron didn't come in to work at all that day. They should have at least matched their stories. And most importantly there is actually no vehicle available at all. This dealer would do anything to lie to customer just to bring you in. Update to add: I called the number many times throughout the week per response below but no answer, no returned calls, just nothing... I will have to take time off work to go speak to Chris R in person if he's even on site. ZERO STARS Having the most frustrating experiences with this Alhambra Toyota! My daughter and I were shopping for her first car and signed for a Certified used car- KIA K5 at Wonderies. Then we had many line list issues, starting off with only one key fob - seems to be the norma for used KIA so we let that go and will pay for our own 2nd key outside. Then came the dash sign on screen & Car Play - it's still freakn registered to the original owner and we can't override that. Toyota brushed their hands off at us and told us to contact KIA. After months of back and forth, we just didn't care anymore, the car is still named after the original owner so whatever. Now we paid off the car in few months, and the title paperwork took forever claiming paperwork got lost- been almost a year and I guess we will go to the DMV to request a new copy ourselves. Next problem: I paid extra for the extended car services/protection and Wonderies Toyota call me to make the first maintenance appointment. I show up and they said we don't service KIA.... then why did you call me knowing the make and model of my car???!! Ok I get this, but you made the appointment with me and even confirmed this bc my car is on your database. WHY would you play us like this? Bigger issue is that now the KIA Alhambra is closed so we have to drive to Glendale or Covina, but they don't recognize the extended services that I purchased for additional $3500 at Wonderies! I'm so frustrated and I feel ripped off and betrayed; I'm just so helpless right now, I'm beyond angry. He even said that other KIA may not take the extended plan, but you can fight it by calling the 800 number (seriously). The rep said if they don't take the extended protection - they can refund me the prorated portion I didn't use - I DIDN'T USE ANY OF IT SO IT SHOULD BE REFUNDED IN FULL. To make matters worse - there's a recall on a part that was listed before my sale date that they failed to fix before selling the car. I am seriously so frustrated - I want to cry for my mistake of trusting them! The KIA itself is a great car, but all these issues from Toyota make me resent this purchase and I felt I wasted so much time, energy, and money... And even felt anxiety. 1. One key 2. Car dash screen and CarPlay still reg to original owner 3. Run around for service protection plan - 4. A recall that Toyota failed to repair before the sale. To be continue because I'm still dealing with this issue about who dropped the ball on these promised services. I knew whole heartedly, I should've gone to LONGO. My family purchased a Toyota Camry from Wandries Toyota with a lifetime oil change agreement included as part of the deal. Unfortunately, the dealership is no longer honoring the agreement that was promised and included when the vehicle was purchased. This experience has been disappointing and frustrating. A dealership's word and contractual commitments should matter long after the sale is completed. Customers deserve transparency and for advertised or agreed-upon benefits to be honored. Based on our experience, I would advise others to carefully review and verify any dealership promises or "lifetime" offers before purchasing. read more

Very loyal to Toyota & Wondries, but recently had one of the worst experiences when I brought my car in for regular maintenance and oil change. I was early for my 7a appt, but wound up getting low communication, ETA's pushed back and many expensive recommendations for additional repairs. I trusted the team but things seemed to be way extra and pricier than ever esp for a Toyota which is supposed to be more reliable and cost effective. Everything took forever and I had to proactively keep asking for feedback and ways to make things more efficient I was not able to get my car until 430p!!! Bought a used car here. They bungled it at every step. After purchase I had to come back (from the Westside) twice to do paperwork/handle issues that they forgot the first time--the second time bc they never did the work to process my new registration. A lot of "oh yes of course, no we'll totally handle that personally" and then no handling of anything. Lots of BS and Incompetence and (at least on the used car side) a janky, dirty facility. And it's not like the prices were that competitive to make up for all of this. Absolutely take your business elsewhere. read more

Beware of unnecessary service recommendations. My wife brought our 2021 RAV4 Hybrid to Wondries Toyota in Alhambra for its 50,000-mile service, which should have been a simple routine checkup and oil change. Instead, before any diagnostic testing was performed, the service representative recommended a fuel induction/throttle body and MAP sensor cleaning, plus a brake fluid exchange. Our vehicle showed no signs of fuel induction issues, such as hesitation or poor throttle response, and a moisture-content test or visual inspection should have been done before recommending a brake fluid exchange. These two add-on services cost $476.79, even though they are not listed as required 50,000-mile maintenance items in the 2021 RAV4 Hybrid Warranty and Maintenance Guide. I left a message for the service department manager, but Wondries Toyota did not seem interested in addressing my complaint. Based on this experience, I would urge other customers to question and verify any recommended add-on services before approving them. read more
