Over the last decade and a half, I've owned two cars and both of them were found by Okuma (specifically Larry Oshima). In fact, my entire family has consitently used Okuma as they've looked for new and used vehicles. Also a good number of my friends use them as well. All that's to say - the reason for this is because they're the best. Very transparent, very communicative, and they do find you really-really great deals while also helping you understand what you need and what you don't need. Here's another thing to think about. Think about your regular trip to the dealer. It's terrible. They take your keys for some bs "inspection" and essentially trap you there while they try and sell you all these contract add-ons that you don't need. In fact, I imagine that most people get anxiety when thinking about going to the dealer. Now take that and think about the opposite, that's Okuma. They tell you exactly what's not needed, no bs, they give you time to discuss and think about what you want in a time that works for you, you're not trapped in a dealer, and instead of trying to add on a billion things to your contract, they actually challenge the dealer to say "why do we need this? take it off." It's the confidence of knowing someone is taking care of you (rather than taking advantage of you). I plan to work with Okuma for the rest of my life. read more

For our first vehicle purchase in 10 years, Jay from Okuma Enterprises was recommend to us by a friend. I messaged him and he responded quickly and asked what we needed. I gave him a few models on a couple of cars and within a day he gave us some options which included the out the door price and delivery dates. After we narrowed down the exact car we wanted we gave the OK and as soon as the car was received by the dealership it was delivered to our home and Jay was there with the car to finish all the paperwork with us and answer any questions we had. Like many others, I despise going into a car dealership and all the time and stress it takes to purchase a car. With Okuma and Jay they had access to finding the model we wanted instead of us going into a dealership and the salesman trying to push the specific model they had on hand on had incoming to their dealership. Even if they could get a specific model from another dealership, the haggling of prices and extras such as dealer installed packages along with the salesman going back and forth to the manager's office is so frustrating. Dealing with Okuma Enterprises was the easiest part about my car buying process this time around. Original car was totaled in an accident and was searching for the exact same Rav 4 Plug In Hybrid trim I had originally. I really hate the car buying process. I know the whole routine with the dealerships and honestly it's getting pretty old. I was looking for a CR-V hybrid L-sport. We went to a few dealerships to test drive it and see what they could offer. None of the local dealerships had the car in the trim and color we wanted. The best thing they could do was to get the car in about a month and a half. We didn't have the luxury of time, since our car was totaled in an accident. So I contacted Larry Oshima to let him know which car, trim and color. Larry said that he's going to call around and see what he can find. He gave me a call back a day later to let me know that he can get the exact car we wanted in a about two weeks. We did all the initial paperwork electronically (credit app, etc.). When the car arrived at the dealership, he gave me a call to arrange a day for it to be delivered to my house. When the car arrived we filled out all the paperwork, got a quick demo of the features on the car and then we were done (about 35 minutes). I contacted Larry on 8/31 and the car as delivered on 9/12.
