I've gotten take out from this place for years with no complaint but yesterday it was entirely different. I called in my order to be picked up. 1 lg Orange Chicken, 1 lg Mongolian Beef, 2 egg rolls, one steamed white rice, one fried rice, 1 small Hot and Sour Soup and 1 small egg drop soup. The order came to $40.00+. My family ate as soon as we got home and I am sad to say that all of the items were HORRIBLE! We couldn't eat any of it. I had to scrape our plates into the trash. The Hot and Sour soup tasted like pure soy sauce. The Egg Drop soup tasted like raw egg whites. There was no hint of chicken broth at all. Both of the meat entrees looked disgusting and tasted even worse...... totally inedible! The egg rolls did not taste good either. There was nearly the full order still in the cartons. Another big problem was that both of the meat entrees were in take out cartons and were STAPLED SHUT. One of the staples fell into the food and I nearly swallowed it!! Luckily I caught it in time, it was a very close call and could have been disastrous, if not FATAL had I swallowed it. The next day I had to leave home early to take my husband to the hospital. It was an all day ordeal with being a 60 mile drive each way so it was late afternoon before I was able to return the food for a refund. I did not get a refund. The manager said because I had eaten some of it she would not refund my money. I told her that we had taken a small portion of the food to eat but because it was so horrible, it got scraped into the trash. The woman became hysterical and screamed at me for the entire remainder of the dispute. I begged her to talk civilly to me as I was calm and non aggressive. The whole experience was ugly. I called the police so I had a witness to her verbal abuse......... the yelling and screaming, there was no physical abuse but I felt very assaulted verbally. The police told me she didn't have to give me a refund if she didn't want to and I was instructed to leave the establishment. It was a nightmare that I won't forget. In summary, the food was inedible, it looked like it was old mushy leftovers. The manager was abusive and rude. I will never go back and I strongly suggest that you get your cravings for Chinese elsewhere. read more

Positives- huge servings and good flavor -price is a little steep but what isn't right now Negatives - totally covidized- have shower curtain blocking door and table preventing access, worker inside masks up and treats the world like we are death on legs- not pleasant or particularly friendly - struggle buying from people whose response to current covid is over the top. If you are this paralyzed by fear maybe having a business that serves the public should be re-thought. This is the first time I've eaten here and there are so many problems. First, the menu they have online isn't accurate. Second, they've raised beef prices so you'll pay 20% more than what you think you're paying for anything beef. Then I get to the restaurant to pick up my food and they have the front door actually barricaded like they're expecting a zombie apocalypse. There's a shower curtain in front of the barricade so you can't even see in. I couldn't tell if someone was coming to help me or not but eventually a girl came and stuck her hand through the shower curtain to get my card. Then there's the food. Just not worth it. The food here is generic. They do have some great stuff but as a whole, is about a 4 out of 10. Crabragoon is ok. Egg rolls are good. Soups are good. Lomein is so so. In fact I haven't had any main dishes that were Great, they are all just ok. Stay away from the fried rice. I'm not sure how they make it, but I'm pretty sure they don't fry it at all. They really have some of the worse fried rice around. I really want to like this place as they do have some good items but it's maybe 5% of the menu. Other than a few items, everything is just generic. Yes I do order from here occasionally but it's only because I don't want to drive 30 min to somewhere better. read more

I hate to give 1-star reviews, I really do, but in this case I cannot even muster up enough happiness to bump to 2-stars. Stopped in to give them a try after relying on my intuition for 2+ years to stay away. I should have listened. Young girl who was manning the cash register and younger sister in the dining area who were doing schoolwork on the table with books and papers scattered all around when we walked in let us know that this probably wasn't the most locked on spot. We pushed on and ordered... Then, whoever was in the kitchen started a coughing fit. The hacking and coughing that came from the kitchen area made us almost walk out the door, but alas, we had already ordered. Our take-out we ended up tossing in the trash after opening it up at home and sampling the dishes. We sampled the General Tso's and Chicken Egg Foo Young and both were not what we could bring ourselves to finish. Between the less than appealing taste and the mental image of the person hacking and coughing, we just couldn't do it. Looking at the reviews it seems this place is either really good, or really bad. This unpreposseing hole-in-in-the-wall has a hidden secret - great food! The hot and sour soup is perfect; egg rolls are homemade, large, with a cruncy crust and so very tasty. Numerous dishes; too many to name all my favorites, but by far the Kung Po Chicken, lo mein and General Joe's chicken are by far the best. Portions are huge; I always get my order to go (call it in first) and I always have enough left over for next day lunch. My husband wanted Chinese food so he drove from Boyd in the country to Azle to this place. He got all the way home and even though they called out his order, they forgot to put my chicken fried rice in the bag. He called and told them he was missing part of our order, they said yes it's here can you come back and get it. It's a 40 minute round trip drive so he said no. They replied that they would add it to our next order, he said there won't be another order! They would not offer a refund! I will not be back!!! What we did get was not good! If you can get past the weird smell throughout the inside of the place, you will notice the generally unfriendly, unsmiling person at the front counter. This place will not make any small adjustments in their menu for the customer (example: you cannot get a lunch sized fried rice alone, but must order the large dinner sized). Their customer service leaves much to be desired, and the place couldn't possibly look any less interesting. The food is okay to good, but this fails to compensate for the borderline rude treatment you get. Ordered some food for takeout hoping for the best. I should have known better after the less than friendly person who answered my phone call to place an order. I picked up my food and headed home ready to enjoy a nice quiet diner as my family was out of town. I ordered the Generals chicken and fried rice. The chicken had more breading than chicken! There was barely any broccoli in the dish. It looked more like cheap sweet and sour chicken (or breading)! Ordered today for the first time and I have to say this is probably the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. I got shrimp fried rice : shrimp was over cooked, rice had no flavor but had chunks of uncooked onion and frozen peas and carrots.
