I've been here a few times now. The owner is nice, she just isn't talkative. The food tastes decently good but the portions of meat are small. Lots of onions and bell peppers as filler. If you don't mind that you're good to go.

Authentic as I can imagine. Very tasty food. But this economy as of 2014 has the prices even scaring me.

Very good every single time. Portions are pretty decent and prices are ok. I'll be coming back.

Their food is good for something quick or family dinner. Just be careful with their egg dishes, there were a few egg shells in our dish

I've eaten here for 20 years and I love the Foil wrapped chicken. The only place I know that serves it.

The food here is NOT good. Also, it took well over half an hour to get our food. I will not revisit this restaurant.

The sushi selection is small, 5-6 basic rolls but good enough as an appetizer. The hot foods were a hit or miss. The best were the bbq ribs, which were hot when I ate there at noon. It is the Chinese barbecue kind, not fall off the bone but tender. The sweetness was just right for me. The teriyaki chicken was good too, albeit not as hot as the ribs. They weren't dry and not saucy either. The chow mein noodles and fried rice weren't good or bad. The noodles were soft and not overly oily. It had a little bit of veggies but pretty much a base for the other dishes. Like the fried rice it needed extra seasoning/soy sauce and other dishes to pair with. The salt and pepper shrimp were decent size and were cooked right as the shell didn't stick to the shrimp. I had extra helpings on those dishes. Dessert had fresh fruit, canned fruit, jello and snack cakes/cookies that are standard at other Chinese buffets. The soft serve ice cream weren't creamy kinda slight on the icy side. I like to pair it with the sugar donut. As a buffet lover, this place gets a pass. Will continue to come if I'm in the area.

In that sense, (this) Asian Buffet hit the mark. While they didn't have crab legs for lunch (dinner?), they had clams, mussels, fish, and all the usual suspects for chinese food, and even, a half dozen types of sushi. $22 with tax and tip, I got my fill and more.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! their spicy pork noodle soup is so delicious its become one of my all time favorite foods. i'd also recommend the beef noodle soup and the rice/mushroom shaomai. when their aptos location was open i would order pretty much weekly lol. i seriously love this place and crave it nonstop. totally worth the drive down to monterey, can't recommend enough!

I'm happy to say that now there is a decent asian place that we can drop by if we have a craving or if we are bringing overseas friends to the aquarium. Very clean interiors, you seat yourself and order at the counter. We had the beef noodle soup, veggie noodle soup, and the XLB. The beef noodle soup was mostly soy sauce based, not too salty, just the right amount of savoring. The meat was not beef shank, but a leaner cut with less connective tissue so don't expect any chewy tendons. And the noodles were cooked with just the right chew. XLB was only okay. Not terrible but not something I would order again. Overall decent, and for Monterey standards definitely a 4 out of 5. Obviously cannot compare to beef noodle shops in the south bay, but this will do if you are spending a day touring the local area and have the craving for noodle soup. No free water here by the way, you'll have to buy a bottle of water at the front counter so plan accordingly.
