Let me start by saying I only came here because I saw a TikTok about it. The TikToker didn't even say it was good, but I was curious because the food is already prepared and you get to build your own plate. I will say the price isn't bad -- about $14 for a pretty full plate. Now here's the problem. The food looked amazing and smelled amazing, but the second you take a bite you realize it's all a lie. I got broccoli beef, spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken, and chow mein, and somehow NONE of it had flavor. I'm honestly impressed at how four different items can all taste like absolutely nothing. The chow mein was so dry it felt like chewing noodles that had been sitting out since yesterday. Then I tried my boyfriend's orange chicken, and the chicken was SO hard I thought I was chewing on a rock. I'm not exaggerating when I say my jaw actually started hurting from trying to chew it. At that point I gave up. I didn't even want to finish the plate. I literally ended up going to McDonald's next door because I was still hungry. When McDonald's is the better option, you know something went wrong. Super disappointing because the food looks good in the trays, but the taste is a completely different story. read more

Food was good, except the rice did taste a little burnt. The photo is what my husband had, but I had the sweet chicken and kung pao chicken with some egg rolls. Egg rolls were good and small, which I appreciated and the Kung pao chicken was great and spicy. My favorite were the noodles and I will probably order only noodles next time. Service was slow which was surprising since there weren't any people eating inside nor ordering out. I've lived in this neighborhood for years and just recently gave China One after my husband came back raving about the food. I decided to give them a try and I wish I went sooner. I should have listened to the review about the food being burnt. Ordered through DoorDash this evening and the BBQ chicken on a stick looks like they fell in the BBQ. They are burnt and taste awful. I had heard so many marvelous things about China One that my family decided to try them out for ourselves. And so we ordered our meal and within minutes we ate and I was impressed with the chow mein and the sliced barbecue pork was excellent as well and I can honestly say that China One is the next best thing to real authentic Chinese cuisine and this food is The Real McCoy of Chinese cuisine. I wasn't that impressed with their prawns and they could've used some improvement to them but China One's Orange Chicken is fabulous and this place really gives you huge servings of food and that is something not often seen in Chinese restaurants today. Go figure...) the food is good but I think we might have received left overs or food that had been sitting a while. The rice is salty and dry. I chose here bc of the great reviews. My order was through Door Dash delivery so I didn't go in. The pork fried rice and combo chow mein was very good, I could just order that next time and be happy. The egg foo young IS good but it's way too salty. If I could give them zero stars I would. I ordered from work and was unable to leave so I chose to door dash my order. This means that I could not check it before I received it and it was too late. This is just simply a poor excuse for a Panda Express in disguise. When I went in to pick up my order, there was someone dishing up spoonfuls of precooked food in warming trays just like a buffet! I've been here three times. The first time was because my friends and I were craving Crab Rangoons and this was the first place we thought to try. It took a while for them to fry the rangoon, but at least we knew they were fresh. The second time was because my friends and I enjoyed their rangoon and decided to try out their other food. Service was amazing, quick and curteous. Price was very good for this area, and they deliver! I ended up picking up from them but next time may get delivery. I have to say that me and my girlfriend were a little disappointed in the quality of the food. Ok so I LOVE china one and this one especially because usually me and my family get it very often so it's like they know who we are by the voice. My only concern is that when ever I order the mushroom chicken (which you should totally get) most of the time just comes with like two pieces of chicken and one piece of mushroom then the rest is just veggies. The price does not reflect the quality, flavor and quantity you get. The food has flavor and spice, not sure if it's a reflection the population is serving but has flavor never the less. The welcoming of all is the large portions given in each order specially coming from being a Panda Express customer where their portions are small. China One provides very large portions and has far better options, flavors and spice in each of their dishes making it a must restaurant to dine when in the area. The orange chicken tasted like the box it came in., I found the chicken chowmein to have like five minuscule pieces of meat and was poorly made. I first heard about this place when I got a little paper advertisement on the door of my house. I tried to see if it was any good and I was blown away. The people who service you are so kind and generous! They are always happy to help and give you samples. And, if they make fresh orders of food if you need it for a party or a get-together. The food I love because it tastes more authentic and unique than most other Chinese restaurants. Most Chinese food places now seem to be following the same recipe as everyone else. China 1, however, follows their own delicious recipe! Their food is great tasting and everything their looks so good to me. I usually get the chow mein with orange chicken, kung pao chicken, butter shrimp, teriyaki chicken, meat balls, or beef with broccoli. It's all so good and they let you choose 3 entrees instead of the usual 2 entrees at other chinese food restaurants. After trying out so many different Chinese food places these last two years, China 1 has been my top pick. The people working there are amazingly willing to help you and always glad to have customers. The food is really delicious. I still try out other new Chinese restaurants throughout California, but so far, no Chinese food experience has been as satisfying as the one I got at China 1. I was hesitant to eat here since you just never know at certain places. Though I was wrong. Customer service was pretty good, friendly and they offer tastings which is a plus. Also the food we each had a plate for around 8 dollars with chow mein, rice, and 3 entrees, it was a lot of food that for the price it paid off. We even had some left overs.
