The food is delicious! We can't wait to order again. Best to order the day before, pick up is easy and fast. Everyone enjoyed the meal.

However I'm not sure if it's because I've been so deprived here in Monterey County where I moved 2 years ago....and if there's one decent Chinese restaurant among all of 'em, that's all we got here.

We ordered basic egg roll, the dim sum sampler, combination chow mein, and Shanghai Noodle Three delight. The egg roll came with 2 rolls. They were the perfect amount of crispy and flavor. The dim sum sampler was mostly average. The only piece we could not eat because we found it disgusting was the chicken mochi. My partner said the chow mein was something he would come back for. If that was the only thing he ate it would be 5 stars. I ate the Shanghai Noodle Three delight. It was not a delight. It advertised having items like noodles, bean sprouts, onions, chicken, egg, shrimp, and calamari. After ordering I found it is supposed to come with 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of calamari. My plate only had two pieces of calamari. At first I was disappointed there wasn't more calamari, but then I tasted it. The calamari tasted rubbery, tough, and no good flavor. When I brought the problem of only having 2 pieces of calamari and they only said it usually tastes like that and I should have gotten three pieces. (So no solution.) My advice to the restaurant, if you know the majority of your customers think the calamari is disappointing, don't serve calamari. The dish would have been much better if you put more shrimp and deleted the calamari. (Without up charging customers.) The servers were kind and friendly. It did seem weird how busy they were when there were only two tables eating at the place. We barely saw them but they did fill up our drinks before we thought to ask.

I like how the vegetables were soft but not mushy and over cooked or drenched in oil. Last night I almost ordered the tamarind baby back ribs. Since I am staying away from pork, I went with the waitress's recommendation of sizzling beef with red bell pepper. Excellent! We came here for the pad thai and it was so ordinary. I should not trust a person who doesn't like seafood. How am I going to share a meal with someone that doesn't eat fish? My whole protein diet is based on fish and red meat. You come here to drink Thai Tea with extra cream not a shot of whiskey for $6.00. It was a good business meeting but I am going to have to come back here with someone who really enjoys food. This is the second time I have gone to eat with someone who kind of ruined the experience of a new restaurant for me. It is not their fault. I had a headache and now I have a low tolerance for people who are not on the same vibe as me.

Good for groups, there'll be something for everyone. We sat outside as the only table and the service was pretty good; they didn't forget about us. Considering how large their menu is, most things were above average. I didn't care for the soft shell crab spring roll. Drunken noodles and roti were good. Pho was fine for a non-pho spot.

The sushi selection is small, 5-6 basic rolls but good enough as an appetizer. The hot foods were a hit or miss. The best were the bbq ribs, which were hot when I ate there at noon. It is the Chinese barbecue kind, not fall off the bone but tender. The sweetness was just right for me. The teriyaki chicken was good too, albeit not as hot as the ribs. They weren't dry and not saucy either. The chow mein noodles and fried rice weren't good or bad. The noodles were soft and not overly oily. It had a little bit of veggies but pretty much a base for the other dishes. Like the fried rice it needed extra seasoning/soy sauce and other dishes to pair with. The salt and pepper shrimp were decent size and were cooked right as the shell didn't stick to the shrimp. I had extra helpings on those dishes. Dessert had fresh fruit, canned fruit, jello and snack cakes/cookies that are standard at other Chinese buffets. The soft serve ice cream weren't creamy kinda slight on the icy side. I like to pair it with the sugar donut. As a buffet lover, this place gets a pass. Will continue to come if I'm in the area.

In that sense, (this) Asian Buffet hit the mark. We arrived at M Noodle & Cafe for a Friday dinner recently. The restaurant is located in a small plaza off Monterey Road and 10th street in Gilroy. The vibe was family friendly and welcoming. They have been around for over 6 years now. We ordered vermicelli with bbq pork and shrimp, beef ball noodle, and a beef stew with tendon. Everything was delicious. The broth was warm and flavorful. The tendon beef and bbq pork was tender and juicy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at M Noodle & Cafe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our food came out quick and the price point was fair. We hope to be back when we are in the area.
