Personally I really love Woo Bar and their brunch menu, especially the Ube pancakes and oxtail eggs Benedict. Also recommend the Vietnamese coffee. Staff are friendly and like supporting local, minority owners. Dinner was good - the main thing is that I'd recommend having them send out the dishes as they get done so the food doesn't get cold. However it is nice to get the food all at once. Otherwise, solid food for dinner. Best dishes on dinner menu are the oxtail hummus, pork sliders and chicken sesame salad. HH everyday from 4-5 pm. We walked in at 4:30 PM for our reservation and we were the first people inside the building. We are seated next to the window and our server was Monica. She was able to give us her favorite items and not so favorite items which I definitely appreciate when people are really honest. We started off with the mango habanero wings as well with a beer and an old-fashioned. After finishing the first round, we decided to order both burgers, the Katsu chicken burger, and the Woo burger, as well as a blossom bourbon and another beer. All items were absolutely delicious and the place maintained really well. Besides the bathroom, the males bathroom was not very up-to-date clean. I'm still giving five stars though because of that atmosphere and how Monica treated us at the table. The food and drinks were on point and definitely made a statement. I don't know why this place has 4.5 star rating. I give it a 5 for location and venue as it is super close to Climate Pledge. So for grabbing a drink or bite to eat you're literally across the street. The service: A mediocre 3 at best. Our server was sweet, but really not effective. When we asked about replacing one of the cocktails with vodka instead of gin she said when it gets busy they don't do substitutions but she could check with the bartender. Ok thanks for checking, but kind of odd. We also wanted a bourbon replaced by vodka. I know that is a stretch and changes the drink completely. But the other was a swap with gin to vodka. Not a stretch. That said, ‍ why not accommodate the customer when you make craft cocktails. She told us the bartender said OK. It took awhile to get 4/5 of our drinks. We had ordered 2 of the Ly to Me with vodka. One was delayed. In fact, another table got their Ly to Mes before our missing one finally arrived. Also, the bourbon drink was still bourbon which had not been communicated to us that the bartender wouldn't do it. If we had known we would not have ordered it. Basically, really pour communication by the server. We also had to flag her down several times because she was challenged to pay attention to us. We all loved the Woo Mule. Tasty chile vodka. The food: 3 maybe even 2.5. The Asian noodles were not Asian in any way shape or form. They were spaghetti noodles with the blandest sauce ever and really the worst. We had a tofu eggplant dish and it was tasty. The burrata salad was described with burrata and tomatoes. It had like 3 slices of tomato and a ton of arugula. We were avoiding leafy veggies due to the cyclospora outbreak. The menu did not stare at all that there was any leafy vegetables. I think the spring rolls were fine. Also, it was a little odd that they called me at one minute past our reservation to make sure we were going to be there, when we were likely standing at the check in desk. If they were concerned about our prompt arrival they should have called at least 15 min ahead. Also, just felt annoying. Also note, that service was slow. They seemed close to capacity, but it doesn't excuse the fact that another table we knew had to leave for the concert and hadn't even gotten their order. We arrived at 5:30 and got out by 7:15. I stopped by before a concert at Climate Pledge since its so close. It was pretty empty for the size of the restaurant on a Thursday evening around 6pm. I got the Laksa Seafood Pasta. I liked it. It's a bit spicy and had a good ratio of pasta to seafood. I will say for the price point, it leans on the more expensive end for a pasta. It's probably due to the sea food but it's not so skimpy that I felt like I needed to order more to ensure I was full. I'll probably come back some time to try out their brunch. read more

The last time my friends and I decided to come here, it was fully booked for a party. This time on a Friday evening around 5pm we got seated immediately since there were still plenty of open seats though they were starting to fill up as time went on. This place is a high-end-like Southeast Asian fusion restaurant with some Vietnamese and Korean influences to name a few. You'll see some lighted up signs of some clever slogans around the walls, and my group of 4 were happy to be able to sit near some of them. This is a bar setting, so it gets really noisy in here and sound vibrates throughout the inside. Menu consists of entrees, appetizers, and a ton of wine and alcohol. I got their garlic noodles with tocino (pork with flavoring and some red coloring) as my meat. This is a dish with a bunch of garlic and other sauces, along with a poached egg. Honestly, without the tocino the noodles are pretty plain, and the garlic wouldn't have been enough. I couldn't taste much soy sauce either on my dish. The real winner was the tocino, which was packed with tons of flavor... and the only thing packed with flavor. It did, however, have so much flavor that it almost made up for the shortcomings of just this one dish. We were provided with fast and great service, especially on water refills and just getting our food, which took only around 10 minutes. My friends enjoed their Woo burger and tofu with black bean sauce, though I did not try those dishes myself. It's not likely that I'll go out of my way to come back here, though. read more

It was one of the best ceviches I've ever had. The rice paper is slightly spicy and salty. Pardon some of the pictures, we forgot to snap them before we started digging in. My boyfriend and I have been eyeing Woo Bar since they opened, and finally decided to stop by during Happy Hour. The decor here is honestly pretty representative of our overall thoughts on Woo Bar, which is that it has potential but it really needs to find their identity. There was a mix of furniture that looked sleek and high end, but also neon signs that looked like they'd be in the bedroom of a teenage girl in 2017. There were lantern lights and plants that felt Mexican inspired, but also baseball games and burgers on the menu. Overall, Woo Bar has potential. The food was cooked well, just needed more depth. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars overall, but I chose to round it down because it was very much unmemorable and I was unsatisfied with the quality of my hainan chicken. I'm not usually a stickler for presentation, but the chicken dish did look very unappealing since it was shredded chicken. It was also on the drier side and there wasn't enough ginger scallion sauce/oil to remedy that. The noodles had an okay amount of seafood, but the flavor profile was off, too sweet and slightly spicy. I was confused and hoped it would be a bit more savory. I did enjoy the rice crackers with the ceviche, but the ceviche itself was not anything standout. Drinks are the standard Seattle pricing, which is on the pricier side. The Vibe: What a, beautiful dining experience. Very earls vibe, but without the earls menu and a bit more intimate. Ive visited on more than one occiasion and the decore has forsure stood out the most. They really paid attention to the details when decorating and I love it. I especially like how the space flows. I'll be honest, both of our orders were over cooked, but I think it worked out well for my salmon. Yuzu Salmon: The salmon was tasty, but idk if it had any yuzu flavor. More of a sweet flavor like creme corn. Also the salmon was not attractive to eat. Also, on my last visit, every glas at ny table had lip prints on the glasses. Which yes I found every odd, because who just puts their lips on everything and just leaves before anyone notices and replaces them. So I asked about it and they let me know it's consistent residue from their dish washer and they try to wipe it off before the bring then out to the customer. Besides that, this place is impressively clean. Don't let me false dirty glass scare ruin anything for you. Conclusion: I do recommend eating here. Especially since it's always empty. Ive had zero problems getting a spot on a Friday or Saturday night. Never been more than 2 or 3 other parties inside and they have so much room inside. I will admit, half the menu does seem a bit more pricey than it should be, but the other half aint too bad. Extended comments: Based on the look of this place I'd expect the food to be more expensive and the service to be a bit more sharp, but maybe that's the trade off. Wow, WOW! We went to celebrate Father's Day with a reservation, not required. The ambiance is fabulous! The staff is catering and friendly. They spoiled our toddler son with a generous fruit bowl. The dishes were also generously loaded with a heaping of fresh fruit. The price is very reasonable given the area. We can't wait to return! This review is for my brunch experience with a party of 7. And unfortunately this was my birthday brunch, which I was really looking forward to. I was very disappointed with just about every aspect of the brunch: 1. The service was slow and just not great, it took 15 minutes to get coffee ordered, and getting a refresh on drinks or getting the food orders in or even the check was brutal. I ended up having to get up to find my server to pay the tab 2. The food was actually not bad, but there were some pretty big errors with a couple dishes - for example the eggs Benedict poached eggs were cooked through with solid yolks, and normally this would just be a quick redo, but with how long it took to catch the server this really delayed the meal. 3. The place was just not prepared for the brunch crowd. I think most of the issues came from the place being understaffed for a Sunday brunch. I won't be back. read more

The french toast was soft and flavorful and the jackfruit chips on top were a very nice sweet, crunchy element for texture. Fruit was fresh and a perfect complement to the toast. Added points for aesthetic presentation. Would eat again! read more
