Solid late night dinner option! We loved the vibe here. The restaurant was dim, lively, sophisticated, and had a romantic atmosphere. When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. Mid-week bites means no crowds. We were visiting UW and met up with friends at Fern Thai. None of us have been here before so we relied on Yelp to guide us. We entered into what I felt was a really dark restaurant. Not from a decor standpoint but just dark and dimly lit. It was really hard to read the menu. Thankfully it's a pretty traditional Thai restaurant so ordering basic pad Thai was the order of the night. This was probably the fanciest pad Thai I've had. Presentation was great. Overall, highly recommend if you're in the Cap Hill area. Food was great, service was good. There are tables for groups or tables for two. The vibes are intimate for the most part. Going here for dinner with a plus one is more favorable than party larger than 6, but they can accommodate slightly from what I saw. It didn't lack flavor or spice at level 2 spice, definitely worth getting if you like that dish from other Thai places. Crispy Garlic Chicken was much better than expected. It was delicious and 1000% would order this one again, don't forget to place an order of rice to pair with it. Ordered for pick up a few nights ago, as we just moved a friend to Seattle and wanted to continue unpacking while checking out some local restaurants. Initially I tried ordering through their website but kept getting an error, so I just called and was able to get an order in quick. I got the tom yum with chicken and was overall pleased. It is spiced well and definitely packed with vegetables too. Others in my group tried the wonton soup which they said was good, the mini wings which were crispy and came with a Thai chili dipping sauce, and the garlic crispy chicken was the overall favorite. You'll have to order a side of jasmine rice ($3) and the entree does not automatically come with it. I saw their spice level is from No spicy to 5, but being this is the first time we've tried them we decided to be on the safe side and try everything we got as a spice level 1 or 2. The duck meat was tender and there was a good amount of curry to go with the rice. The chicken was juicy, curry was so flavorful, and the roti reminded me of a Taiwanese scallion pancake.
