They did have some, but they were generic. I wanted something more specific to the area. There is a parking garage nearby. The area is super busy and you may have to walk a ways to get to the store. I asked him, while he was sat on a stool drinking his coffee, where this specific model was. He pointed to a display case across from him and said go look there. I checked but could not find the model, while Slim sat on the stool, holding an AR and talking to a guy about suppressors. Enter Russ. He was a pleasure to deal with. He checked the display case but could not find the model. He then checked the back room, twice and finally found the model I wanted. Every thing else about the purchase process was a breeze. Russ was very diligent and professional. He took his time to insure this was the handgun I wanted. Due to Russ and not Slim, I will purchase from Smoky Mountain Guns in the future.

It is a small veteran owned business that has been serving the 11 million annual visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains for the past twenty years. My friend's hiking boots literally fell apart on the mountain so we stopped in to check out what kind of hiking boots they had. Prices seemed reasonable and they had a good selection. A salesperson spent some time talking to my friend and showing her the differences between the boots. In addition to hiking boots they carry anything a day hiker could need or want. They had a large selection of T-shirts, hiking gear including hats, ponchos which I really wish we had brought earlier when we got hit by a sudden rain storm, bug spray, sunblock, water bottles, backpacks, walking sticks, and anything else you could possibly want. If you forgot it, they got it! The Day Hiker is conveniently located a half mile from the entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park where some of the best hiking trails in the country await you.
