I also wanted a portion of an upstairs bedroom done since it had not been refinished since the house was built. On the way downstairs Mike looked at the hallway outside the bedroom and asked if I would like that done as well since there were some scratches which had been caused by an ironing board being dragged over it. He did tell me that the scratches would not go wayway and, although they were barely noticeable, I agreed to have it done thinking that a fresh coat of polyurethane couldn't hurt. Unfortuately, I was wrong, as the refinishing resulted in there being a number of dark brown streaks where the scratches were. Mike negleted to tell me that the color of the scratches would be dramatically different from the oak floor that was being refinished. Had I been informed of this, I would not have done the hallway. The quality of Mike's work is good but he needs to be very clear regarding what one can expect based upon the job that has been contracted.
