The Bernhardt Chairs came in defective and I am waiting for them to be fixed after a few months of being ignored by the staff at Woodbridge Interiors. The bed frame we ordered came in after waiting 7 months and it was the wrong Bed. They tried to get me to take it anyway. I think the worst part of my experience was dealing with my salesman, Terry. He was rude, made nasty comments about women and wouldn't call me back once I insisted they remove the delivery charge when I brought up that Perigold doesn't charge for shipping and he promised to price match. I will NEVER buy anything there again. Perigold has tons of great stuff and they have great customer service, a much bigger selection. Never again. read more

The one star is for their very nice showroom. It ends there. Maybe someone should teach them that sales is all about building lasting relationships to earn a customer for life. Especially someone who just told you they need to furnish a whole house. These people clearly missed the memo on that one. Never in my life, being in sales over 16 years and 10 as a business owner myself have I run into a company that is 150% unwilling to work with a customer who is ready, willing and able to buy, to close a sale and allow the customer to walk away feeling like they were appreciated and got a great deal. Nor have I ever seen or heard of a furniture store that doesn't negotiate or move off the price by a single cent, ESPECIALLY knowing that they are commissioned sales people. This completely cripples a salespersons ability to close deals at their discretion. Nothing about my request was unreasonable or out of the ordinary, but as their manager very clearly said "we're not in a rush to sell anything, including a floor model which we know we're going to move and our owner will tell you the same thing." Translation for the buyer... we don't give a #### about you, we only care about 1 thing and 1 thing only... maximum profit on each and every item. That's great for them during Covid when inventory is low, but terrible business practices for long term sustainability, which is probably why they have had to rebrand to Woodbridge from Thomasville as I learned after the fact of walking out of their store and reading other Yelp reviews. Nonetheless, other people's experiences, as per their Yelp, both current for Woodbridge and previously for Thomasville seem to fit the bill completely, and even worse for those who actually purchased in full. There's no doubt that this kind of company culture comes straight from the top and trickles down. After visiting other furniture stores I actually came into contact with someone who worked for them previously and pretty much confirmed that their business practices are completely unethical at best. You're not selling rare earth minerals here, you're selling...furniture. Yes, it's nice. No, it's nothing special. Get off your high horse and take care of people. Newsflash... you'll make more of what you love, money. Sadly, I don't think any of this will resonate with them. You can't change peoples values who are so clearly driven by greed, this is why my review is strictly to save someone from wasting their time with this company in every way. Be patient, shop around elsewhere, you'll find the right pieces with the right person who will want your business and build a lasting relationship with you so you will tell 10 friends of how great your experience was and become conversation pieces in your home. The designer Kelly Murphy is great upfront, until you need help after your custom-made couch arrives at your house in the wrong fabric. Kelly and the delivery personnel will try to convince you to take physical custody of the couch. I refused to take possession and the couch was sent back to the store against Kelly's advice who was on the phone trying to convince me otherwise. She immediately changed her tone and flat out told me the couch was in the correct fabric even though she had not had seen it in person (the couch was delivered from the company's warehouse, not the showroom where she works). A few days later, Kelly emails me again stating this was the correct fabric and they will schedule a new delivery date. When I asked to come into the store to compare the couch against the original swatch at the store, I then learned that the swatch had been accidentally tossed out because the fabric was discontinued by the manufacturer. Shady. Shady. Shady business practices. Shame on Kelly and Woodbridge Interiors. read more

Terrible experience. Sofa and reclining love seat took 4 months to arrive. I bought my own fabric for love seat and pillows they substituted some other fabric for pillows lost my fabric. They found in took another month for those to be made. Sofa had wrong feet on it black not brown took a month. Stripes did not match had to wait to fix that. A chair I ordered at the same time still hasn't arrived. The order was messed up got so many stories it's been 6 months now arrived but in lock down with covid19 Called spoke to manager he did not care at all. Sales person tried but couldn't do anything. Delivery manager poor communication. Told yo call a Michele there did she never called back. Don't order from here custom furniture poor communication but quick to take you I see you're trying to blame covid now Finally got a call chair can be delivered but you're adding money to what I am to be paid. My last email from to sales person below. Now they say I owe $800 +. Not $520. They are claiming a lumbar pillow was added in another fabric that's the difference. I have tried for 3 months to get resolution from Michelle and she doesn't resolve the issue. I have asked her to contact the owner for me and she doesn't. Imagine calling and asking for the manager/owner of a company for 3 months and getting no response after you spent thousands of dollars at a store. My recommendation is to NOT work with Robert. He is obsessive doesn't know what hw is doing. I still want a refund for his design mistakes. I'm so glad I didn't buy more than what I was going to buy. We were greeted by Robert, who was very personable and knowledgable. He was great on helping with selecting fabrics, etc. We purchased two chairs and a headboard set. Robert was great on the sale! We felt we would be going to Robert for all our future furniture/furnishing needs. Now, after the sale, we have called and left messages several times for Robert to call us back and we even talked with Robert, who said he would call back with an update. He never keeps his commitments to get back to us. We are trying to get an update on our purchase and on the delivery of the bedroom headboard set which we were told was an "in stock item" and would be delivered within 6 weeks. it has been 12 weeks now and we can't get any information on timing of our delivery. The Sur Library Committee of the Casa de las Campanas ordered three overstuffed chairs from you through our decorator, Beppie Mossert (Living Design Interiors). When they arrived, one was slightly "damaged", a pull in the cushion fabric and a dark mark across the back of the chair. Beppie was leaving on vacation, so gave my name to your customer service representative, René Scheid. René called immediately and arranged for your technician, Jesus Figueroa, to see and photograph the chair. He arrived precisely on time and took pictures. About a week later René called to say they would like to pick up the chair for further examination. It was picked up on the 16th of this month (again, exactly at the appointed hour) and returned in perfect condition on the 19th. We could not be happier! Both René and Jesus were delightful and competent. Your company was well represented by them! How fortunate to have these two excellent employees! read more

Store Layout: Large store with a myriad of options from modern, mission, traditional shabby chic to industrial and contemporary. Love the attention to detail and the unique items you can customize, purchase and order. The issue: Manager told employees that they price-match if (IF) it was in writing. I price matched with a store in North Carolina and printed out the email correspondence; however, he claimed it was an online store and they don't price match those kind of stores due to their low overhead. When I explained that it was brick and mortar business located in North Carolina - the manager then said they only price match stores in San Diego. My husband asked if he was willing to work with us on the price, so I could have the print lower than retail ($945). We had cash in hand; however, he wasn't willing to accept anything lower. It's really disappointing communicating, negotiating, driving 40miles just to hear no. We could have gotten that exact same message via email. Nevertheless, I would honestly work with Merrilee any day of the week because she really did work hard to try to be a blessing to my husband and me. Oh FYI: Watch out for Michelle a sales lady at Woodbridge. She asked us if we needed anything as soon as we came in - we told her about the print but explained that we have been talking with Merrilee. She then explains that Merrilee is just a account manager - like all she did was office work. She then took us to the computer to look for the print in the database, and when I showed her a copy of my correspondence with the print's identification number from Merrilee she THEN says let me go get her for you. Next thing you know my husband and I hear on the in store overhead intercom, "Merrillee, you have clients." Wow, talk about losing points for integrity issues! My wife and I recently visited Woodbridge Interiors located at 7480 Miramar rd, San Diego . We were welcomed by sales rep + interior designer, Robert Collum Jr. We hate high pressure sales personnel, Robert was not that. He was very knowledgeable, wanting to help and patient with us as we discussed options while ordering our furniture. We felt that Roberts goal was to help us, not to try and sell us anything to make a sale. After our purchase we got a call alerting us that there was going to be a delay in the delivery of our couch, which was disappointing to hear since we didn't have any furniture yet in our new home. Robert was able to have Woodbridge Interiors deliver the display model couch to us as a loaner until our couch arrived, with no additional charge. We had some other special requests that Woodbridge was able to accommodate for us without an issue. It is rare to find a rep like Robert today and a company that truly makes the customer feel valued and cared for. This store has gorgeous and quality furniture. I had been looking for a dresser for quite a long while and narrowed down what I wanted. It was at Woodbridge Interiors in Mission Valley. From the moment I entered, I was in awe. My sales person was Trish, I think. Anyway, she was very patient and helpful and didn't hang over me or put any pressure on me at all. I knew what I was looking for, however, the one I saw was very expensive. Trish showed me almost the same exact dresser made by another company. She assured me it would be excellent quality and that I would be happy with it. So I ordered it. I received it about 10 days later, maybe a day or two sooner. It was FANTASTIC!! Every day that I look at it or get something out of it, it brings me so much joy. Their delivery staff were excellent, punctual, professional and very accommodating. From the beginning to the end of this process, I couldn't be happier. Trish was perfect and everyone I dealt with there was wonderful, especially the delivery personnel. Only till we were in the store for some time did this old hag with short hair finally get up from her little desk and notice that we were there. A comment was made that the items were nicely made, beautiful, and expensive. The hag with short hair replied. "Jerome's is down the street..." literally the rudest comment from a salesperson I have ever heard. Imagine you walk into a steakhouse..and you say these steaks are beautiful, look nice, and are expensive..and the waiter says "McDonalds is down the street...." 1530 Camino De La Reina, San Diego Location! On October 8th, 2015 I purchased two barrel back Thomasville chairs. Today is November 29, 2015 and I still do not have a ship dated! The material back ordered and the sales rep Marny neglected to advise me. A very nice gal Jen stepped up to help along with the store manager Rebecca. Rebecca removed the shipping charge in amends and said she would keep me advised. She called me and told me that the chairs had shipped. Three days later she called me and told me that they had not shipped. Two days ago I sent and email to Thomasville and they have not responded. Customer service is not their forte. Oh and when I mentioned that I might cancel the order I was told I was not allowed because it was a special order. My reply was "Oh, I see. I've called several times, the sales people I've spoken to couldn't be more helpful, however they aren't able to give me a satisfactory answer. Isabela night stand and other minor furniture with the value of $7000+, 18 months ago from this store located at Mira Mar, San Diego. The sharp edge of the dresser is pealing off seems like due to a poor workmanship or improper raw material. I called the store and talked to manager! his name is Paul. Very irresponsible and told me that this is a sign of water damage! he said that the warranty is 12 months and they do nothing to solve the issue! As an engineer manager with 20+ years experience, I will consider this, as an academic sample of business failure! Joshua Yeagley is the absolute best!!! My husband and I wanted our bedroom to be an oasis, a place to relax and connect. Joshua came to our home, really listened to our ideas and analyzed the space. He put together a floor plan for the new furniture, fabric swatches and ideas for lightning. I changed my mind so many times and he was always patient, enthusiastic and responsive. He really wanted us to be happy. Joshua came to our home on the day the furniture was delivered and put it all together...furniture, lamps, pictures, rug, throw pillows, plants and bedding for a BIG reveal! A day later we were called by the store manager saying they made a mistake and could not give us that piece of furniture at that price...even after they took payment, raised invoices, confirmed order etc. So we raised a complaint to the general manager and he failed to even acknowledge the complaint and totally didn't even reply....They just don't care about making things right for its clients. Beautiful showroom, good selection, nicely laid out. Delivery charge is unreasonable and they do not allow for pick up of items as the store us not set up for it. They really do need to let you know of this in advance. We purchased a room divider and a floor lamp but waited a number of weeks for the room divider to come in. Bummer, we had to assemble it ourselves because we insisted on picking it up. I am not cheap, but their fee is outrageous. Additionally, I have a large vehicle available, and I was in the area. Some of the decorative accents on the room divider had fallen off, so they offered us some crazy glue for us to repair. Hmm. As far as the floor lamp, I was given the dusty floor model with sticky finger prints. I didn't realize it until arrival at home. The shade had to be vacuumed and the chrome cleaned. Hmm. These are details that should and must be shared with the consumer at time of purchase and not told at the time of delivery. Clean, out-of-the-box new is what I would expect for not only what I spent for the floor lamp but also from a place appearing better than the average furniture store. They certainly don't give Ethan Allen service here. Will not shop here again. read more

I normally do not write reviews but our experience with Woodbridge has been unbelievably terrible. Our designer was great but the service from the company post purchase has been exceptionally poor. And you can imagine after spending over $65,000, we expected so much more! First, we were told the furniture would take 6-8 weeks since it was a custom order which is reasonable. However, it took almost 12 weeks for most of it to arrive. One main issue with this company is that they only ship in bulk so your furniture just sets in the warehouse (east coast or wherever) until they have enough pieces for a full shipment. Case in point, we ordered a large console that took almost 8 weeks to arrive but I found the exact brand console at an online store and at another retailer for which would only take 4 days to 1 week to be delivered. Woodbridge could have gotten the console to use much earlier if they were truly focused on customer service. Basically this saves them money but at the customer's expense and hence the long delay. Another issue, the inner cushion of one of the sections of the Marge Carson sectional was sagging and damaged. Company was notified in late May of the issue, representative came out on June 15 to take photos but I learned the replacement order was never placed until later. As of Aug 14, I still haven't received a date for the inner cushion replacement. Absolutely unacceptable. This company apparently doesn't care about getting any repeat business. For an upscale store, the service after the sale is virtually nonexistent. We will never buy from Woodbridge ever again and we WILL NOT recommend to family and friends. In this day and age businesses with poor customer service don't survive. It's sad that I see multiple other reviews about the terrible customer service but it seems the owner's (Shupei C) response is always that customer service is their top priority. I would like to recommend Bianca Figueroa sales consultant /interior designer to all who would like a top notch designer with excellent customer service, impeccable textile design skills and a keen eye for furniture placement. I have purchased several items including a guest bedroom set, chairs for a family room, sofa, end tables and kitchen bar stools. My most recent purchase included two chairs plus an ottoman for my family room. Bianca helped me pick out the wood trim and lovely fabrics for the chairs. When my furniture was delivered she arrived early before the delivery men to make sure the placement of the furniture was perfect! The quality and extra time Bianca spent placing the furniture was exceptional. She is able to put together a lovely room using new pieces as well as existing. I am a big fan of Bianca! Buyer Beware! If you don't see it in the showroom buy from an on line store that allows returns! I went to them to design a new room. I started with a couch and chair $4200. This was in December. After the chair was made they couldn't get the couch fabric so I had to re choose ( not their fault) but I shouldn't have purchased the chair until the couch was completed. I purchased 3 tables including a coffee table. The coffee table was ordered in December and delivered May 15TH. When it arrived it was gigantic and clearly too big for the room. I emailed my designer and sent pictures. She offered to come over but told me there are no returns unless there is damage. You have to ask as they don't tell you this. The table was almost $2,000. My fault I should have done my own homework and not trusted her, especially when she's making a commission. I called Michelle, the store manager and emailed her over one week ago. She stated she would get together with the designer and come up with a solution She was at lunch when I called yesterday and that's the last that I've heard. As another reviewer stated "once they have your money". I have even put the coffee table on Chairish with no takers. My room is ruined by the table as everyone who sees the table says it's too big! Unless someone from Woodbridge calls, I can truly say they are not about customer satisfaction despite spending nearly $8,000. Today I had an email, not phone call, from the store manager, saying there was nothing wrong with the tables size, it was my fault for putting another piece of furniture in the room. Had I bought this on Wayfair or Smart furniture I could have returned it without reason. Do your own homework! Basically I'm stuck with it! read more

This is the worst company to buy furniture from. We purchased a very expensive sectional from the Mission Valley location about 3 years ago and since day one have had issues with large amounts of feathers coming out of the couch or poking you when you sit on it. In addition, I had to have a cushion and stain repaired immediately upon receipt. Over this time period I have had numerous service repairs to the sofa and it does not fix the feather issues, including replacing all of the inserts inside of the sofa. They do not care and will not resolve this issue for me. Warning they have no intention of fixing a problem if you have one after they receive your money. The manager promised to resolve this issue once and for all and now is back to giving me the run around. read more
