The previous time many years ago when he was first starting, and even then his good character and business sense stood out to me. It's probably why I reached out to him again. Growing up as a "cop's daughter" sometimes my second-hand jadedness towards seemingly good character arouses my doubts. But if Jared is not genuine then I don't know who is. My grandfather was a general contractor, and I myself worked for a medium-sized commercial contractor for a short while so I am somewhat familiar with the challenges in organizing the work, including managing subcontractors. Jared's communication and management style is such a breath of fresh air. You just want to get behind his local business and see it continue to grow. Communicating to some of the general contractors in and outside the Corvallis-Albany-Salem area as the pandemic winds down, I now think the safer bet is to go big with Thayer Construction when the time comes. So they constructed the building off site and assembled on the area we prepared. Unbelievably the three guys were at my house at 7:55 Thurs and by 5:00 there was a solid enclosed building standing there! Friday was roofing shingles and caulking. The guys were conscientious, hardworking and had good attention to detail---all you want when you're investing in a building like this. I'm very pleased, and highly recommend South River Structures.

Gary Does tell a Good "story", but its not Reality. We chose Kingdom Builders to put on new Roof,…read morebecause he had the lowest cost bid, but eventually it turned out to be the Highest, and instead of "2-3 days , and a Crew of 6-8 guys".....(a story), it took over 2 weeks, and was on average about 3-4 guys at the beginning, and he and his brother at the end. I have 5 ceilings throughout house that were damaged, along with tongue and groove Douglas fir ceiling that you could see daylight with large gaps that I spent days repairing. I'm 70 yrs old...and it was quite painful to do all these repairs , but he wasn't going to. He said they would "clean up daily " before they left, another story. Said I would get PHOTOS of Roof Work and areas around Chimney that he was going to fix/seal...it never happened. Ceiling cracks, trash (which my husband cleaned up a lot), they broke front outside light and Never even told us...but did finally replace. The garage was a complete "gut"... but at the end they had ONE Horizontal 2x6 that was Floating, not really attached to anything that was supporting the whole Roof!! called him after a friend that was a contractor pointed it out, and GARY eventually showed up and stuck a 4x4 brace in. Now barely a year later, THE ROOF IS LEAKING AND HAS DAMAGED MY UPSTAIRS WALL AND CEILING, it was leaking when we had torrential rains during winter and spring, but I had Neck surgery, and could not walk up steep stairs. He has been aware of this for OVER 3 WEEKS , but still has not fixed it, nor damage to wall, ceiling. He is a "TALKER", not reliable. He will make promises, and the make up a "story". Worst choice I have ever made.
