Today was my first time at this location, and I will be back for other services. I wanted to give this location a try as I live nearby. I got a pedicure and Jessica was fantastic. Friendly and she did a great job. The chairs and water tub were very good too. I was walked back to the changing room and offered a robe and locker, which I accepted. The changing room is small considering how many lockers are in there. But it's serviceable and there is also a shower. There are two quiet areas, one would be nice if you came with a group of friends, but it allows you to have separation from others if desired. My only concern: Jessica is the only nail technician so there is no way to book a pedicure with a friend. There are also no nail services on Fridays or Saturdays. Had the most wonderful experience T the Woodhouse Bottleworks location. I used a gift card I won at work and treated myself to a hot stone deep tissue massage. The experience was everything I needed and more and my masseuse David was amazing!! Very gentle and let me know everything he was doing along the way as this was my first time having hot stones. When you walk in it's so peaceful and tranquil. The quiet room was such a nice touch to be able to relax before AND after your service was such a wonderful touch. Talk about luxurious! I have been to this Woodhouse a few times and always love the experience. I like to get there a bit early to use their rain shower and start relaxing with tea in one of the sitting rooms. During my past visit, they also brought around warm neck wraps to everyone waiting and they smelled like eucalyptus. The guest services team is so kind and helpful. I love their salt room and will be back during the winter! It has a warm uplifting glow through the pink Himalayan salt walls and the adjustable lounge chairs are warm and made of salt. During this visit, I had a massage with Aislin and will be requesting her again. She did an amazing job with the requested light to medium pressure, which I don't often find. They just added a $20 up charge to massage services on the weekend - so beware of that. It is pricey overall, but the experience is worthy of a very special treat of pure relaxation! read more

I adore Woodhouse Spa! I try to go every few months to feel spoiled and pampered. I usually do the 50 minute body balance massage, but also add hot stones and sometimes an extra 30 minutes. It says to show up around 15-20 minutes early, but I always come anywhere between an hour and 45 minutes before my appointment so I can hang out in the relaxation room for a long time. Perfect reading time!! Every therapist I've had is wonderful. They are very communicative and strive to make it a great experience for you. WARNING UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!! I've been a long-time customer of the Indy Woodhouse locations - first Carmel and then Bottleworks. I've come monthly for years. Today was my birthday and I always schedule service if I'm in town. I tried a new type of massage and when I was checking out, I thought the price seemed a tich high. Got home and looked at the receipt. It was $20 higher than what was listed. So I called and was told ... and you won't believe it, they have surge pricing at the downtown location. I'm so offended a loyal customer was charged "surge pricing" on their birthday but worse, they never communicated this change in "policy" (aka greed). As I was talking to the staff, it was clear this had already been an issue but the owner haven't changed things. Disgusting. read more

I scheduled a 2 hour body balancing massage on a Friday at 3pm. This location is downtown which is perfect for me! It's right in the Bottleworks District. Downfall is you will have to pay for parking which stinks. You are already spending so much money for the massage then you have to pay for parking on top of it. I parked in the lot that's on the side and did 3 hours it was $6.75. I was greeted with 4 people when I walked in. I had an appointment so they asked me to just sign in and confirmed my service and gave me a short tour of the place. I went to the Ladies room where she showed me how to operate the lockers and asked for my shoe size for their slippers. She then asked if I wanted tea or water prior to my service and I asked for tea. She told me it would be waiting for me once I went to the "relaxation" room where you wait prior to getting your service. When I got to the room, sure enough my name was placed on the chaise that and my tea was waiting. Nice touch. I waited maybe 5 minutes then I went back. My massage was amazing! The guy that did my service listened to the pressure I wanted quite well. Afterwards he walked me back to the relaxation room and gave me instructions on what to do for the rest of the day. When you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome and shown where all the rooms are and provided the most comfy sandals. You are given a locker that you can set a code on that has your robe in it. THE ROBE IS TOP TIER! I wanted to take it with me. After you're dressed you can sit in the quiet room that has soothing music, smells, couches and blankets. I could've moved in there. They have complimentary water, tea and snacks. I got the massage, facial and pedicure. Hands down one of the best and most relaxing spa experience I've ever had. My husband gifted me services from Woodhouse spa for mother's Day! Despite it being very busy, I felt very special and each service felt individualized. Services started off with a pedicure by Jessica. I loved the pedicure room as I was the only client in the room. Being the only person lent to relaxing experience. The service I received included a salt scrub and warm towel wrap! I loved the care and attention Jessica took on manicuring my toes. In other salons it always feels rushed, but at the spa I received the SPA experience! Once my toes were painted Jessica Lee me to the "quiet room" so my toes could dry. I loved the quiet room. There were comfy seats and settee that I could prop my legs and feet up and relax. About 30 minutes later I was picked up by Jade who took me back to the nail room for a manicure. Omg, it was such a great experience. Jade was so patient with my nails cutting and shaping. They used this mandarin oil on my hands for the hand massage that was so delightful and relaxing. The manicure also included a relaxing exfoliating salt scrub and warm towel wrap. My services ended with THE MOST relaxing facial EVER! Alie was amazing. She cleansed my face,massaged it to the GODS...I know I fell asleep a couple of times. In addition she got rid of the blackheads, steamed and moisturized my face. I was gifted a 50mi deep tissue massage at the Woodhouse Spa for my birthday and I'm so glad for it! This place is a little cove in the otherwise bustling Garage area. I was 10 minutes late to my appointment because of traffic and timing. I called ahead when I realized I would be late and they said it was fine. Once I got there, my massage was only 40 minutes. Apparently they're booked up pretty tight so get there on time or lose your time. :'( not sure what their logistics are like but it would have been nice to have the option to reschedule instead of losing the time as it's not a cheap massage. Once I got to the spa, I signed my form and changed. The robe was incredibly thick and comfortable, a bit of a contrast to the itsy bitsy lockers in the locker room. Then there's a quiet room to wait for your massage or relax afterwards. The quiet room is supposed to be quiet but there were five people in there at one time so it wasn't as tranquil as I would have liked. In the quiet room they have two types of trail mix, cinnamon tea and spa water which are a nice touch. My massage therapist Courtney was wonderful, and she gave me a great massage. Even though we were a little short on time, she asked what my focus spots were so we could make sure to get those worked on. During the massage when I spoke about areas that needed more/less pressure, she was super gracious about adjusting. One of the best massages I've had, I can't imagine how much better it would have been had I had all 50 minutes! I will say, this massage was supposed to be a surprise and was emphasized a few times but I got a call a few days before my massage to confirm. I came in for my birthday and received the Deluxe Hydrafacial + the 80-minute deep tissue massage. I was surprised this location did not have other free amenities like sauna/steam room but I saw they have a salt room you can sit in for an extra charge. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the quiet room where you waited between services. There was pre-made tea (flavor was so good, may have been mint?) and snacks like trail mix. The massage therapist was male and respectful and made sure to ask what I was comfortable with and had great pressure. They also added some aromatherapy and it was a nice touch with the deep breaths. The 80-minutes went too fast! :) The facialist was very informative and sweet. She asked to try a few new things on me in addition to the Hydrafacial. She explained how the process and tools worked and reassured me that I was getting the full affect of the serums. She took extra time to go back and look for extractions and left my face glowing!! She also recommended some tools and products I could use at home and even brought me a sample of sunscreen. Lastly - this place earns lots of cool points for making my birthday extra special with champagne and cheesecake bites before I left - SO good!! Such a disappointment. I was so excited to go here because I live in the neighborhood. I wanted this place to be better, but I think the improvement will come when a different company replaces this one. Based on my experience, and that of my friend who I went with, they only care about squeezing every possible penny out of your pocket. First, if you are looking for a premium experience, this is not the place. What you will find here: tiny women's locker room (hope you know who you're with, because you are going to be very close with anyone else in there) and with only one shower. It seems their primary object is not about doing the best for the client, but to make money. The prices are extremely high for what we got. First thing the masseuse does when you walk into the massage room is try to upsell you on CBD to use with the massage or salt stones, or scents. The masseuse we both had was a guy named Matt and he had zero finesse. I felt like I was being handled like a piece of heavy machinery. I wondered as I was on the table if he was used to rubbing down 300 pound football players or was previously a mechanic. First time in my life that I kept wondering how much longer the massage would go on, but also questioning if I was wrong to feel this way. My girlfriend had the exact same experience, so that was validating. The aesthetician did not know the price of an upgrade I asked about, thought it was $15-$20, so I said ok. Then it turned out to be $45. This facial did not use steam or do any extractions, so basically, it was over $150 to have a couple products put on and wiped off my face. At checkout, they try to sell you all the expensive products and suggest you come back in 2-3 weeks for another massage, more selling. The lady behind the counter tells you your total and asks if you want to leave gratuity, which is automatically calculated using the base price + upgrades. I was hoping that by reaching out to management that they would really listen and want to do better. I felt like even though he apologized and seemed nice enough, he wasn't fully listening and was defensive. He talked as much as I did, seemingly wanting to prove that he knew which service would have been better and getting into minutiae irrelevant to me. He offered to refund a small percentage of the massage and the facial upgrade, which was something, but what I really wanted was someone who truly understood that their approach and pricing might need to be re-examined. We all get that places want to upsell you, but there is a way to do it that is more organic. Anyone who has been in sales for five minutes usually learns that you build rapport, then ask lots of questions to see what the customer might need, then offer them a solution. I think most people are happy to spend top dollar if the value is there. That was not this place. Bottleworks deserves better. read more

Had a girls spa day 2/1/23. Parking behind Bottleworks on Wednesdays is only $2!! My friend was pleasantly surprised her massage therapist actually listened to her, he made sure she wasn't face down too long as to not trigger a migraine. He worked her IT Band that has been bothering her. She felt great! She really enjoyed her Lift and Firm facial too. My sister had a similar experience, she felt wonderful after her Calming Retreat massage and Soothe and Hydrate facial. Her anesthetist listened about her sensitive skin. My Calming Retreat massage was with Michael and I was so relaxed afterward, I felt GREAT! My Soothe and Hydrate facial was really nice. Cortlynn (sp?) explained what she was doing and what to expect. My face still feels soft and hydrated this morning. While upselling is a thing, none of us felt pressured. I appreciated that they weren't hardcore about selling products, like I've experienced other places. My sister did ask for some products, she bought a couple of items. The relaxing quiet room was nice. Citrus water and Hot cinnamon spice tea among with little mixed snacks, apples and mints were laid out. Although one lady was FaceTiming with a male as she was in her treatments and walking around the spa and in the quiet room, she had a tripod even. That was strange. The dressing room is small, and only one toilet. It was VERY clean. Overall just a lovely day! We will be back. It is expensive but is worth the splurge! read more

This place was so cute!! A few weeks ago I decided it was time to treat myself and I got a WONDERFUL Lavender And Seaweed Sugar Scrub Ped and it was AMAZING. I felt totally spoiled in the quiet room before my pedicure started. I got to relax for a few minutes and enjoy the calm music and Cucumber water. When I got to my pedicure the whole experience felt so high end and it felt like so much more than just any old pedicure. I worked with this awesome gal who told me she had just graduated from beauty school a few weeks before and I loved her!! I was so impressed with her attention to detail and she was kind to check in on me and make sure I was doing okay. I had a wonderful hot stone massage. This location is beautiful and new and everything was super clean. They get very busy on the weekends so make sure you schedule a few weeks out. The relaxation room was large and cozy. The only thing I don't particularly like about the Woodhouse locations is that they try to get you to buy products that were used during your treatment. We recently went to Woodhouse as a spa day before my friend's wedding. I can't comment on the ease of scheduling as the bride worked with Woodhouse to schedule all of our services. They did do a good job of coordinating the entire bridal party's services. I would have liked to have some time in between to relax between services with the girls but I think that was more of our schedule than an issue with them. I chose to get a deep tissue massage and a session in the Himalayan salt room. My first service was in the salt room. It was nice and relaxing. I know the salt has therapeutic benefits but I'm not sure that I could tell in the 45 minute session. The massage was great. I knew that I wasn't in great shape after not have a massage for the last year due to pandemic so I opted for the 80 minute. The therapist really worked into the plethora of knots. I can't say it was relaxing but this type of massage isn't necessarily designed for relaxation. Overall the space was nice and relaxing. The staff was very opening and welcome. You save $20 off the list price by doing a package. This place had me feeling totally rejuvenated. Everything was super high end and luxurious. They have a relaxation room for you to enjoy between treatments and a really nice rain shower in the bathroom full of their products that is complimentary. I could see enjoying a trip with friends or family here. Their products are also great and the esthetician who gave me my facial recommended a daily face cleanser that has made a drastic difference on my skin in only 2 weeks. I had an incredibly exhausting time here. I was charged for the wrong services, not given complete services, and then double-charged. To resolve the situation, the manager called me only on Saturdays and whenever I called back I was redirected to someone's voicemail... a GM I never even ended up speaking to. I raised a dispute and over the length of an entire month tried to resolve the issue whenever I could get them on the phone. They admitted it was their fault but then chose to close the entire dispute without giving me any compensation for all of this trouble. Extremely disappointed and will never return. :/ read more

Went to Indianapolis location today. My daughter had made our appts and told them it was my birthday and she wanted to make it special without me knowing. We get there and it was a great surprise. We were scheduled to get pedicures. When they technician came to get us, they both said Happy Birthday to which I said, how did you know.... they said your daughter planned a thing or 2 for you. We get back there and after a bit my tech says, would you like a glass of Champaign - since I'm not paying I looked at my daughter and she shakes her head yes, so I say sure and then asked my daughter and she said yes, then she left and came back and the other tech says, 'you know when you call and let us know that your celebrating something, we can have it ready, to which my daughter says, I did. Needless to say.... we didn't receive the Champaign or anything to celebrate except of techs saying happy birthday When we were ready to check out I asked my daughter if I could leave the tip. She says, yeah I guess. So I gave them 20.00 a piece. We leave and my daughter is tearing up. I'm like, what's wrong and because she IS me, I have to ask multiple times cause she doesn't want me to worry about it (keep in mine, i had no idea what she did, didn't do, paid for... nothing.... and she finally says..... mom, I called and asked them to make this a big deal, I paid more for these because I thought you would get the Champaign...birthday treatment because they said they would make it special, we didn't even get the Champaign that they offered us and you gave them a 40. In tips for a $65. Job. I felt so bad for her. I felt like an idiot for even tipping them but I always recognize service people. But my heart was aching.
