Never going back and yes I was a big customer and reference for them before. I really love this spa. I've been here twice each time receiving a massage. The massages both times were very good. My masseuse was very open to my feedback on pressure (too much/not enough) and I could tell she really wanted to please me which I appreciate! I enjoyed the time I spent with my bestie in the quiet room and I thought the separate dressing area was very well equipped. It was my birthday and everyone there went out of their way to make it special. I love this location which is close to home and the fact that I can have a great spa experience without driving to Dallas. read more

I honestly felt like this place was way overpriced for what you get. My boyfriend and I each received a massage and they were great. No complaints on the actual massage itself. The overall "Spa" experience and customer service was lacking.. which is essentially what you're paying for. Our biggest complaint was the uncomfortable group waiting area. They put you in there while you're waiting for your service or to enjoy your beverage, but there's also people in street clothes waiting there as well. Very uncomfortable to be in there with only a robe on, disheveled hair and lines on your face looking like you just woke up after your treatment. There should be a separate waiting area for people not receiving service. We both agreed that we would not go back to this spa. read more

Went in last week for a mani and back, neck, and shoulder massage. My massage was heaven. The therapist talked to me about and sore places and was sure to address those. The lady who was doing my nails was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs when I was done with my massage. She did a beautiful job on my nails and was mindful of the time bc I had an appointment I had to get to. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I left relaxed and refreshed. I told my husband that all I want for birthdays and Christmas was gift certificates to the Woodhouse from now on! read more

The services are good (note: it is rare to receive a true deep tissue massage), but the "spa experience" could be better. - Not handicapped accessible inside - Not enough seating in the quiet room - Not enough room in the dressing room - The treatment rooms allow in too much light and can be noisy because they face the exterior - The quiet room can be uncomfortable - the robes don't close well when you sit, and there are not separate rooms for men/women - The lockers need to be wiped out (and probably disinfected) Read the cleaning protocol before getting a pedicure - they do not clear out the jets between treatments. Your feet are soaking in someone else's gunk. read more

My daughter and I had a facial and hot stone massage yesterday and both of us walked away very disappointed. Both of my daughters had been to Woodhouse before and both of them have raved about the services. But, we cannot rave today. I felt like I had sand on my face after my facial and it was so dry and not at all hydrated which it should have been. My daughter was very happy with her facial, though. I had ordered stone massages and they had us down for Swedish massages but ended up accomodating us with what I had ordered. My daughter asked her therapist three different times to pay special attention to her neck and shoulders as she had knots there from tension and this was the primary reason for us to even get our massages this weekend. It never happened. I have defintely had better better massages and walked out of my massage room like I had not really had much done at all. Both my daughter and I were put in the same changing room to strip down and put our robes on. While we are mother and daughter, we both appreciated having some privacy and she left to find an available restroom. Everyone should have privacy when changing like this and not be in a "common" room where people need to come in and out of to get to their lockers. Sure, the door had a lock on it but it was still uncomfortable knowing someone was either coming in the room or needing to come in while you are undressing. We both woke up this morning thinking that it was pretty darn expensive to not feel any better today than we did the day before. We are both so very disappointed and had hoped to feel better today. However, on the positive side, they really do make you feel like "queen for the day" at Woodhouse. Our services started on time and we did not have long wait periods to begin each service. Worst experience ever especially it was my Birthday!! I received a $500 gift card to spend a relaxing time with my daughter and get massages and manicures & pedicures. My massage was just okay nothing special, I usually go to inexpensive Massage Envy every week and I get a better one from them! But when the time came for my mani & pedi I really experience horror! The lady who hurt me was the only Asian lady there (I don't know her name), she cut my skin around my fingernails twice and scrubbed off a peace of tender skin from the side of my foot, making me bleed not 1 but 3 times. I believe 1 time is a fluke, 2 time is coincidence but 3 time is a pattern! She was very hyper with nervous energy. I confronted her saying that she keeps hurting me and asked her if she had drank to much coffee, but she had no bedside manners at all, she didn't say a word, just one time told me to relax my hand. The other lady's who were assisting my daughter were very nice and my daughter was very happy with them and had a nice experience, they also told the manager what happened to me since they witness how I bled 3 times and experience pain during my mani & pedi with their Asian lady coworker. The manager assured me that the lady who hurt me during services was in fact theirs best, but just had that personality when she gets nervous.... She offered 25% off services and I told her that it doesn't matter to me since I have a gift cards so she said that we can apply it towards the tip for all ladies. I did leave a 20% tip, but the lady who hurt me doesn't deserve that! I'm writing this review in the middle of the night because I can't sleep my foot is hurting really bad and I can't were shoes now, I'm applying medicine on it and taking Advil and it's my birthday today! How awful! It was my first and it's going to be my last time, I would never go back to that Spa and prying that I won't get an infection from hurting and bleeding there 3 times from the hands of unprofessional mani & pedi lady. read more

I am sad to give 2 stars but I'm still so sad about the experience I had on 3/30. I've been a regular to this place for YEARS- even finding the woodhouse in my new town- golden Colorado. After years of being a more than loyal customer and constant referral source, my 5 year anniversary was a very sad disappointment! The salon moved locations inside the shops at legacy- and we weren't told!! So, after arriving we found the old empty shop. We called and were given not great directions to the new location. Arrived to a receptionist who was on a call (& apparently the only one at the front desk and also answering calls). After 5 minutes of waiting we were shown back to the dressing room and greeted by our massage therapist. Mine was kind and gracious- my friends therapist told her immediately that we had only 30 minutes of our 50 minute massage left. not a relaxing way to start! This was a $200 massage- and lasted only 30 already rushed and unrelaxed minutes. such a bummer for a special not cheap anniversary gift. read more

I have had a few different services here. Swedish massage, prenatal massage and lavender scrub pedicure. Every time it's improved. They never call to confirm my appt but never an issue. The pedicure isn't the best I've ever had but the technician warmed up. The massages were great. read more

This is one of my favorite getaways 2 - 3x a year when I can't get to ZaSpa or Four Seasons. I spend an entire day or half day getting everything from the 4 hand massage, Skintini facial, seaweed body treatments and the sugar scrub manicure and pedicure. My only wish for this spa is to have a QUIET relaxation room. Checkout the ZaSpa's. It isn't large, but everyone is relaxing, or even napping...in quiet with background music. Also, Butter is the new nail polish brand the Woodhouse spas are using. I am not a fan, however, I love the nail technicians and the sugar scrub treatment. Best results with Butter is to stick with the darker colors or the frosted, metallic, shimmery shades. The light pale blue I tried required 4 coats and the consistency created ridges which chipped in a day. The spa repainted my nails at no charge. Pros, they are, indeed. read more

I love this place. They have a system down, great staff, and are all about customer service. What does that mean? Consistency, which is so important when deciding on a splurge. Just wanted to give an update to the experience I had at this spa. After my posted I received a called from May who is the manager at the spa I believe. She asked about the experience and asked if she could offer a complimentary massage for my boyfriend and I. I figured it wouldn't hurt to give them another shot. This time it was like day and night , it was a more relaxing experience and it was done more bilaterally this time. I like that they took the time out to address this issue and make it right! Sometimes that all it takes to get someone to give your establishment another shot. I am impressed in the way that the situation was handled and will give them another go for my next spa day. read more

Horrible management, Amanda is a rude person who wants to argue with me about my bad experience instead of helping to change my perception of their poor services! My $65 manicure chipped hours after it was done and Amanda never responded to my email complaint so after 8 days I called her!! I wanted to take a minute to post an updated review of Woodhouse Day Spa. The owner contacted me after my negative first experience, and she was so nice that today I went back to give it another try. I had a Swedish massage with Stephanie, followed by a manicure and sugar scrub pedicure. It was a wonderful morning of pampering! First, you change into a robe and massage sandals and lock your clothes and purse into a locker. You are offered a number of different teas (the cinnamon was really good) and you sit in a "quiet room" to relax before your services. The massage with Stephanie was wonderful, and my nails and toes are cute and ready for a three-day weekend! The sugar scrub during the pedicure felt great, as did the hot stone massage. You also get a hot neck wrap, and the massage chair is so relaxing as you soak your feet. Not to mention you can enjoy champagne or a mimosa as you relax. The paraffin treatment with the manicure made my hands really soft. I'm glad I went back. It was a really good experience, and I'm sure next time I treat myself (or someone buys me a gift to treat myself!) I'll go back. read more

The front desk staff apparently don't know how to book appointments and they don't know anything about customer service. For the price, I should be able to book an appt. show up on that day without any "oh it was scheduled for (some other day)", then reschedule, only to show up and not get the service I scheduled and paid for. Seriously, if you're just doing mani/pedi - go somewhere else. You want a massage, visit Massage Envy. Just as good and lots cheaper and the people are nice - not stupid snobs who don't know how to use a computer and treat you like you're the idiot. I bought a gift card for my daughter for Christmas. The 80 minute pedi with tip included. She scheduled an appt. and was excited because she was going to get a pedi for an event she was going to. Showed up to be told they had scheduled on the wrong day. Reschedule. Come back. Gets a 50 minute pedi because they had the wrong service scheduled. So now we have a gift card with a partial balance that basically is unusable because all of their services are overpriced well above the balance left behind from the wrong service, and we don't want to go back again. Also they did nothing to compensate her or make it right. She is young and doesn't know what's going on or how to demand better service. Definitely will not be back. Also, if it's a SPA, I don't want to sit in a cramped room with 4 other women yacking at the top of their lungs about their stupid kids, dogs, husbands, whatever..... I want a relaxing, spa-like experience. Don't get me wrong, really nice suite and they have really nice tea and nuts available. Really sorry I did this for a gift. I've been coming to spa off and on for several years. Usually for the massages. During the massages, you can hear the chatter of others in the rooms. That is the only thing I dislike about Woodhouse. The massage therapists are great. But I do not like being in the room and hearing talking, laughing noise while I'm getting a massage. If they could work on that noise problem for the massage rooms, I'd rate it higher. read more

I went to this establishment for the first time: i received two gift cards. It started out wonderful and only got better as my time went on. I wad walked into a quiet room where they served me a beverage of my choice, then i was walked into the waxing room, the girl who worked on them did an amazing job, she was really gentle and was really awesome. Great personality and a great waxing job, next i was escorted back to the quiet room where i was given another beverage of my choice and my mani and pedi specialist met me. I was given the agave special. The mani pedi was phenomenal. I was given a warm compress for my neck filled with aroma therapy. I had my legs and arms messaged for a good 45 min. My polish came out perfect! The staff was so sweet and accommodating. Turned out that my mani pedi wasn't as much as advertised so the gift cards covered my waxing as well. I will be returning 100%. def worth the buck read more

Not worth it. Arrived 30 mins before our appointment, and did not enter into a relaxing environment. The staff at the front made us feel rushed. The locker room was small with only 1 shower, while its a large shower there is really no place for your clothes or towels, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was rested on top if the handicap rail. They have very few amenities for their rather steep prices. no spoons for the nut mixes (people were scooping it out with their hands). While my massage therapist was extremely friendly and kind, this massage was not worth the price. I left the spa feeling just as pained as when I entered. I was also uncomfortable there was not separate waiting rooms for men and women. We will not be returning to the woodhouse, and we would not recommend this spa to anyone. read more

I received a gift card for the Spa Classics package and the services provided were nothing out of the ordinary. I didn't see a difference between their Agave Nectar pedicure and what I usually get at my regular mani/pedi spa. As a matter of fact, my place surely beats this service! The place is nice and clean but my biggest complaint and discomfort was their 'Quiet Room'. The room was crowded (not one seat available at one point) with men and women all around, and while some were in robes (like me) others were in street clothes and I felt uncomfortable. A new customer was being ushered into the room when not one chair was available so she had to turn around and walk back out. The attendants were just ushering people in without looking in there first to see if there was room or not. There was a man on his phone talking away while a couple of women talked about their plans for the weekend. The Quiet Room is supposed to be a room where people relax prior or in between the services contracted and I found that this setting was everything but relaxing! I don't think I will go back anytime soon! read more

Terrible!!!! Decided to walk in for some pedicures on a hot day. Front lady was really nice, but thats about where it ends. We were sold $65.00 pedicures, normally at least 50min-60min(normally) it was like 25-30 min. there, with 5 min massage. They were really rude and not friendly. I would not recommend this place to anyone, there is so many places in Plano area far better then this! Stay away! read more

So if you have been to any other Woodhouse Spa this one will dissapoint you. First, i had a facial and no robe or neck wrap. When I lived in San Antonio even with a facial i was given those. I was given a cup of tea which was nice. So the next thing is the overall facility. It needs an major update or just start over somewhere else. I was taken upstairs and i felt like i was heading into the attic in my grandmother's very old house. The ceilings are so low and it made me feel claustrophobic. The treatment rooms same way. Old furniture that looks like it came from an antique shop, worn and dusty. I was told to put my belongings there and literally had to wipe down the dust when the therapist left. Nothing calming or luxurious about this place. I've been to the San Antonio and Corpus Christi locations which were so much nicer so I expected the same. I was really let down. My facial was nice but unfortunately I can pay the same somewhere else and get a better experience. read more
