Got a hydrate and soothe session done today and my face feels amazing, thanks to my esthetician, Suk. The facility was so beautiful, calming, fresh, and clean. This may sound silly, but their air was on another level. Not sure if they do something to it, but I felt like I was getting air therapy too. It was lovely getting to relax a bit in the lounge/waiting room--they provided cucumber infused water and packaged cookie snacks (they also offered me champagne and tea). After about 5-10 minutes, I was led to my 50 minute session, where Suk took care of me. The whole time, I had my eyes closed and was in a heavenly state. The ambiance of this place is nice, in that the dressing rooms meet every possible need, and they even have a relaxation room - though the chairs seem a bit dated, and whenever the door opens, there are only two chaise lounges that are truly private. I do love the staff, especially Lisa from upstate NY, as she knows how to talk at my East Coast speed when I'm checking in after a long, busy workday. That said, this place is definitely pricier than Thai massages in San Francisco with my favorite masseuse, Ya, and the core body balancing is not quite the same. Also, I recently experienced the best deep tissue/Thai/core body balancing massages of my life in Cabo, Mexico, so my opinion is now swayed. All that said, I've quite enjoyed deep tissue, core body balancing, hot stone, yoga balm, and CBD oil massages with Catharine, Shelby from Alaska, Gina (twice), and Lory (twice). Lory - especially - has been very patient with me, and has nursed me back to health both before and after my Thanksgiving trip to Mexico, as she understands how we hold feelings in our bodies (muscles), and before and during my trip, I found myself suddenly experiencing intense pain in my legs preventing me from walking. It was scary, and Lory patiently nursed me back to health, gave me stretches to practice at home, and helped me understand the root issues. I'm eternally grateful to Lory, and definitely look forward to seeing her and Gina again for deep tissue massages. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise in the area. I went with a group of 20 and the staff was attentive and hospitable. My massage therapist was Liz and she really got into my deep tissues! I felt like a specific piece of "clay" in a movie called ghost... After that wonderful relaxation I was replaced into the quiet room along with some sparkling wine. After a nice break I was taken with Dee Dee for my facial. This was a first for me... The facial was relaxing and I felt great knowing my skin was healthy and my pores were in good shape. The lockers were clean; however, the men's only had one restroom which can pose an issue on busier times. The staff again were extremely professional and attentive. I am usually disappointed when I go to various spas in town and book massages, but today was not that case. I am an LMT and have worked in the industry for over 12 years, so most times I walk away with a less than desirable experience due to the fact that most spas do not measure up to my expectations and the therapists do not listen to the needs of their clients or deliver those results. Today at Woodhouse Spa Plano, I was happily surprised and delighted. Gina delivered a beautiful and relaxing Swedish massage that was exactly what I asked for. She listened during my intake and delivered exactly what I had asked for. I added hot stones and it was money well spent!! The stones were incorporated into every tense portion of my body and the heat from the stones worked extremely well to release the muscle tension in my upper back and shoulders. The relaxation room is beautifully decorated with cozy lounge chairs, warm blankets and lots of places to put your feet up. This was my first spa day experience and it was very relaxing. The front desk is friendly and welcoming.. this goes for all of the staff members! I loved the relaxation room. I came on my own and unplugged. Brought a book and always sat at the chaise lounges.. they arent the most comfortable, they probably need to be upgraded, but it's still a nice room to be in as you wait for your services. The locker room is nice! I definitely enjoyed being able to keep my things in a safe space as I barely went in there except to use the restroom and change! I had the Spa Classics, which includes: a Swedish massage, organic facial, and a warm agave nectar pedicure! Definitely relaxing and I left feeling great. Lori did my massage and I never wanted to leave her room! She is SO sweet and kind. She truly cares about your experience and how you're feeling throughout it. For my first time, I loved that I got her. Thank you, Lori! My organic facial was by Suk. She did a wonderful job, my skin feels so soft and refreshed. My only bother is that she was pushing products at me at the end and I didnt really like that, but I understand the reason. Overall, she was sweet and knows what she's doing. After all of this, I get my pedicure. Tiffany does it, who is friendly! But, it was just a little underwhelming after the massage & facial. I did enjoy the foot and calf massage that she gave me. I've been looking for a spa house clean enough to be a regular at! I can vouch for Woodhouse spa and say I'm glad to have found it. The place is so clean and smells smoothing as soon as you walk in. My husband and I did a couples deep tissue massage and it was perfect! After being checked in, we were escorted to the bathrooms where we changed into our robes and slippers. Then we were shown the quiet room where we could relax, drink some wine, snack, until they were ready for us. The whole experience was amazing! Our masseuses made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed throughout the massage. They even brought us water at the end of our massage and didn't rush us to leave. The girl was nice, but lots of miscommunication regarding what I thought I would get in my $300 facial. They tried to make it right again and bring me back for a 15 minute service.... I won't be going back. Don't waste your money unless you just have loads of it to blow. If you want a good facial, there are plenty of spas that can achieve that for a fraction of the price. This is the most comprehensive spa experience in the area. I've been here many times and I have always come out very relaxed and happy with my experience. The staff are very friendly kind and knowledgeable while also being very professional. The massage specialist and facial and manicure specialist are all extremely good at what they do and it's hard for me to have a favorite because they're all so very nice. There's a solarium where you can wait after changing into the most comfy rope in the world and have a tea or glass of champagne before your massage and then go back again afterwards and rest a little bit before you have to enter back into the real world. It's pretty good overall. Pros: The service is above average and the facility is in great condition. Cons: The prices are relatively high and they've currently got no way to control parties which can ruin the whole thing. I've been there probably ten times now. Usually, it's what you would expect. You sign in, go sit in the relaxation room for a bit and then get called on for whatever services you've selected. This last time, we signed in and were put in the "relaxation" room where there was already a full-on party. You had Karen shouting about her 35 hour fasting. Then you've got Stephanie regaling the room with stories of work dominance. Then you've Tiffany who has to talk over everyone else and make sure we all know about her fat intake over the last few weeks. There was more, but you get it. It's a relaxation room, not a brunch or happy hour. I know that this is how it works on the reality tv shows, but in real life the rest of us aren't "extras" who are being paid to be the background to the scene. We are actual paying customers. It seems like a little thing, but if I'm parting ways with the better portion of a grand for two hours of actual service, then the experience has to be better. I also understand that they had someone come in and gently suggest that maybe perhaps not being so loud might possibly be an option that the group could go with. However, it has to be more along the lines of "This is a quiet room. You'll shut up or you'll be removed. There will be no second warning." read more

This place is incredible! I had been to the Detroit location and loved it, so I was excited to see there was one in the Plano area. It is not quite as quiet as the Detroit location, but they have a great staff and the rooms are very luxurious. I got a 50 minute deep tissue massage with added hot stones. It was amazing and the warm table is a great touch. The rooms are dark with faux candlelight. You can lounge in the relaxation area for as long as you'd like. When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted ( didn't catch her name) and given a tour of the facility. She gave me a robe and slippers to change into then escorted me to the waiting room. She then brought me a glass of champagne! I was enjoying the experience so much that I added the 50 minute pure hydrafacial to follow my massage. Both services exceeded my expectations! Finally made it to their new location today to see my therapist. I usually go every 2 weeks or so. But I found a new place closer to my home. (See reviews for Cooper spa in Craig ranch) My appt was at 4:30pm so I couldn't park in the street parking because valet takes up everything-later I found out it is because Bob's steak house is right next to them. Bummer. I will note that next time to come back before 4pm. But there is a parking garage right next to them if you don't mind looking for a spot, and just walking a bit. When I walked in, I noticed how new and beautiful everything is. The decor is a split between contempory and rustic. I like it. The check in was ok, they didn't often me anything to drink, but today I was fine without my champagne since I need to pick up my son right after. I was asked if I wanted robe and slippers just like old location. The front girl just started to walk and so I wasn't sure if I was suppose to follow her. She didn't say anything to me seriously, just walked away. I thought it was funny. I went into their changing room. It was spacious unlike the last one. Rows of lockers. And the robes they gave me was brand new-very comfortable. But other than the bathrooms, 2 showers( I think it was 2), new lockers. There is still so much I would like to see them add, like a dry sauna. Atleast one other amenity would be nice. Anyway, my therapist was outside waiting me, so she took me right to the room. I noticed all the different hallways, they definitely added more treatment rooms. Once I got to the room, we got down to business :) But for some odd reason, the stones and the oil felt different, like it wasn't the same oil or stones. So I asked if she has changed out the type of oil she used. that is when she revealed to me that they changed the type of rocks used for their hot stone massage. I was surprised because no one told me or call me ahead of time to inform me of the change. She said they are not river rocks anymore, but instead of salt rocks. It suppose to give more health benefits but later when I called up my massage therapist friend who also studied medicine... She said the benefits are far and in between since the contact with the stones are too short. It is pretty to look at in the room, but I dont like the way it felt on my skin, and the specific oil you have to use with it. I told Alisha just to do a regular massage because I really tried, but the rocks didn't feel too good. And that is a big deal because I come to Wood house regularly just to book the hot stone massage with Ahlisha :( I was so disappointed, and probably won't come back for the hot stone massage) At the end, I told the girl up front that no one told me about the change, and that this is something a client should know. She honestly didn't seem to be too concerned with my feedback. Not only that, but she charge my credit card incorrectly. I called up there and asked about the charges that appeared on my credit card. She said sorry and that she will need to wait for a manager on Monday to ressolve the issue. I visit Woodhouse monthly to get an Illuminating Facial with Jessica. Over the last 6-9 months, I've noticed significant improvements in my skin. I can't remember the last time my face broke out and I used to get those deep, huge painful zits frequently...which is quite embarrassing for a grown adult. Besides the quality of the facials and the superb results, I love chatting with Jessica. She is kind and our conversations are relaxed, easy and a nice way to start my morning once a month. Thank you, Jessica! Today, I received the BEST deep tissue massage of my lifetime from Lori (Laurie? Sorry, if I'm misspelling). The woman is a miracle worker. If you like a 50 minute gentle rub down for a massage, I'm sure Lori can accommodate but if you are like me and have 5 million knots in her left shoulder alone, finding someone that can administer an effective deep tissue massage is like searching for an unicorn. Went to the Woodhouse on Saturday 7/10 as a birthday gift from the girlfriend and what a brilliant gift it was. From the moment we walked in we were treated so kindly. The robes are very thick and high quality, the bathroom / locker rooms are very clean and organized. Top notch. The duet massage was very relaxing and accommodating. The lounge is also great, private and a great place to unwind with some hot tea or cucumber/lemon water. Oh, and at the end they added a great classy touch by giving a birthday gift bag. I have gone to this spa for years and am surprised to see so many bad reviews! Yes they are pricey, which is why I could never afford to go more than once or twice a year, but each time I did the experience was absolutely wonderful. I enjoy the more typical spa services (facial, massage, pedicure) so I can't speak for ones such as body wraps, scrubs, or any type of mineral bath and/or shower. The services I can recommend are: the neck back and shoulder massage which is the only one I get because that's where I hold all my tension, the warm agave nectar pedicure, the signature Minkyti facial, and most recently the illuminating facial. If it's your first visit, they ask you to arrive 15 minutes beforehand to fill out paperwork. Upon entering, you check in at the front desk and are then taken to a changing room where the most comfortable robe on earth is waiting for you. They also have free lockers for your valuables and will bring you sandals. You are then led to the quiet room to wait for the esthetician or massage therapist. They have light snacks laid out (usually granola bars and trail mix) and will bring you whatever you would like to drink. I normally get both a water and champagne or mimosa. Yesterday I had only taken 2 sips of my drink when the massage therapist was ready for me, but they placed a card with my name next to it for me to enjoy once I was done with my massage which was nice. The massage was wonderful and the illuminating facial superb. The esthetician complimented my skin numerous times and applauded me for being religious about sunscreen. She used to be a makeup artist for Smashbox and gave me multiple tips on home remedies. I've always loved to mix my own makeup potions and masks, so I felt her and I were kindred souls. I bought the gift card I used yesterday in November of last year (cyber Monday) and got a great deal on it. If you are on their emailing list, they send out many special offers such as 20% off a service and most exciting, spa week! Spa week is when some of their most popular services are only $50 each. That's huge!! They don't skimp on these either, it's the same skin care products they would use normally and the same amount of time. For example, if I had booked my massage and facial yesterday during spa week I would have paid $100 total as opposed to $245. Get on that list people! They also have a week where you can purchase a block of 7 services for the price of 5. These never expire, so if you are someone who books a service quarterly it's perfect because that's nearly 2 years of services at a significant discount since 2 were free. Be mindful that they do ask for a credit card to hold an appointment and there is a cancellation charge. I like to go in the mornings when finding parking in the garage next door is a breeze. read more

This review does not reflect all massage therapists. I took my cousin and sister in law to this location for a relaxing massage. I was trying to give my cousin a nice bday surprise. While my sister in law and myself had greats massages that matched in experience and quality. However for my cousin her experience was less then acceptable start to finish. Karen was my cousins massage therapist. She explained to my cousin that she booked a sweedish massage that was a very light massage. So she literally just applied oil on my cousins skin. My cousin asked if she could focus on one glute and explained why... Karen said that it sounded medical and that she should go see someone about it. Truly my cousin just said there is a knot can you massage it. So what Karen did was use her fingers to poke and push down sporadically. There was no massaging of the glute or the body. There was No inhaling of essential oils at the beggining or end. Karen left the wet towel on my cousin and covered her with the the dry blanket. Once she was done with the "massage" she bopped her on the head and said you're done. There was such an obvious lack of care and lack of professionalism. How is it that myself and my sister in law had great experiences with amazing pressured massages. I was disappointed that, that was my cousins experience being that it was for her bday. My cousin did let the receptionist know and was told there would be a discount. However, that is not a good solution. Someone on your staff just gave a sub par service. And a discount seems like an insult. What was even more insulting was that the receptionist said.. the manager will be in contact with your cousin and proceeded to say...."I get it. Sometimes you just need to vent." vent?? How about have the employee held accountable? It was embarrassing for me to have recommended this spa. We have yet to hear from the Manager. read more

Irina is AMAZING! I went in for the 80 min microderm and I am so impressed. Every other microderm I've done has left me as red as a tomato and in some pain.
