Bear Creek Nature Center is a hidden gem in Chattahoochee Hills, GA. This is a small animal refuge…read more/ hiking location (with a waterfall nearby) / and conservation center. This non-profit organization is home to numerous reptiles, amphibians, and birds. They even have the only live bats at a nature center in all of Georgia. Admission is $5 per car/driver and $3 for each additional person in your group. This is a great spot for families. They even let my kids pet any small animal in the facility of their choosing. We were given a personal tour of the place and the hike was good for all members of the group. Since not too many people know about this place yet, there was no issue parking. So my experience at SOOFA Ranch was generally positive;…read morehowever upon reviewing photos of other riders who attended the ranch, I noticed some differences in their ride compared to ours. While some riders seemed to enjoy an open road and easier navigation, my families ride took place in a wood area. In hindsight, this terrain was not ideal for all participants as it involved constant walking over rocks, branches and muddy trails. Though I paid $85 per person, I'm uncertain if I received the full experience advertised by the ranch, especially when comparing it to what others have shared about their rides. Additionally, we were advised not to b ring our cell phones along to prevent losing them on the trail, resulting in the disappointment of not having any photos of our horseback riding experience. While I personally had a great time, reflecting on the discrepancies between our ride and what seems to be advertised for other guest has left me unsure about recommending this ranch to others. However, its important to note that this review is solely on my own experience and others may have different perspectives. The one photo provided I took prior to us leaving out on the trail I then left my phone to avoid losing as I was directed.

Not only did she pick up on me and the commands I was quickly taught but she also listened to Mr. Daryl's commands while he rode on another horse in front of us. i am really disliking this school already and we are only in day three. Fist they call two hours…read moreahead to inform that orientation is in two hours and not that evening as originally informed. mind you it's a work day and I don't understand how they expect parents to get of work with a two hour notice. so we are already starting off on the wrong foot. Second my child is arriving after the first day stating he was only given crackers and apple sauce. No other food provided all day and he doesn't eat apple sauce. Second day I pick my child up and they put him in the car with wet pants. I asked him what happened and he was very specific he peed on his blue bed during nap. We have provided not one but three sets of clothes in the event of an acciden. Why was he left in his wet pants till 2:45 pick up? All he mentioned is being told to be quite. No play time, No stories. Nothing. At drop off he has a melt down every day and there has been no betterment. We are already considering having him removed and reporting the facility to be inspected.

Very unsafe! We should've gone with our gut and canceled…read morethe ride when one of the horses started to become unruly while we were mounting. We were a party of four. When we mounted the horses, my son's horse, by the name of 'Three,' tried to bite my daughter's leg who was on the horse, 'Bella.' Then 'Three' tried to bite Bella's neck. Our young guide then put a muzzle on all of the horses. We proceeded to the trail - my horse 'Vinny' kept trying to walk off to the side of the trail, in the bushes. I was then told by the guide that Vinny did not like mud and was trying to avoid walking through the mud. For the record, it had just rained that morning. If Vinny did not like mud, why did they allow him to be out on the trail? Needless to say, Vinny was not happy and took off running through the trees, threw me, knocked me unconscious. I was attended to by the ambulance, then emergency room. I have been struggling since, as I recover from a concussion and whiplash (neck and back). Been out of work for almost a month. Not once have I received a correspondence from the Serenbe Inn to see how I was doing, or apologize for the actions of their horse. I also noticed the next day my credit card was charged the full amount. Dangerous - They do not care about the riders. My son mentioned that after the horse threw me and while I was on the ground unconscious, the horse was stomping all around me. As my son was running towards me, from a distance he thought I was being stomped by the horse. Fortunately, not. BE CAREFUL! Serenbe Inn, I was really surprised by the lack of customer service and customer care. No call - No email - No apology - NO CARE!
