Overall they are great. Getting my sunglasses has taken over 2 months now, though. My first…read moreappointment with them was last year. This year I went back to them for my annual check. Doctor and tech were great. Picked out some glasses that were paid for by my insurance. I looked into what it would cost for new sunglasses but it was too much (out of pocket for me) so I elected to get new lenses for the sunglasses that I got from them last year. 2 weeks later I got a call that both the new glasses and the sunglasses lenses were ready. Went in and the glasses were great but the sunglass lenses were definitely not the right size for my frames (even though they had the info for the correct frames). 3 weeks later the new lenses finally arrive. They left a voicemail that told me this and that I should make an appointment but that I could also wait for the lenses to be ready. I was not told that I could only get these lenses put into my frames Tues - Thurs (the person that can cut the lenses to size is only there on these days) so, since I was off on Friday, I went in. I was then told that that was why they said I needed an appointment (but skipped over the part where they also said I could wait). So, I made an appointment for the following Tuesday. On Tuesday I went in for my appointment, gave them the frames and told them I would wait (they told me 30 to 45 minutes). 45 minutes later they brought out my sunglasses with the new lenses. I was then told that the lenses have some scratches around the edges and they were going to order new lenses again so I can have "perfect" lenses. They will call and then I will have to go through this process all over again. If the timeframe is the same as it was for the lenses I currently have, it will be at least 3 weeks before I get the final (hopefully) lenses. If that is the case, it will have taken 2.5 months just to get lenses. Each time I went in to get my lenses, I was given a token apology that never seemed sincere. In fact, one of them apologized in a way that made it sound like they were apologizing for me making a mistake (for not making an appointment as they suggested even though I was given the option to wait and never told why I needed an appointment). I know mistakes happen but they aren't even trying to make it up to me in anyway (like offering any sort of refund since they made the mistake a couple of times now). I am definitely frustrated and will consider changing providers next year.

I went to a different optomitrist (who shall remain anonymous) two years ago -because it was closer to home & work- but came right back to Pine Creek Vision because the other office couldn't make my glasses right after 4 tries- and I found out from Pine Creek that they got my prescription wrong as well.

Seen on time and the Dr was very thorough and pleasant thruout the exam. He answered all my questions and spoke to me about my eye health and vision. I felt very comfortable thruout the several tests and was happy he did not pressure me to get prescription lenses when there was no need at this time. Another dr years ago talked me into getting bifocals for reading and they just gave me headaches. Dr Eddington is fine with me wearing my readers because that's really all I need at this point . It's a fact of life that stuff happens, but if things like that happen, I expect communication. Unfortunately, they didn't feel that they needed to communicate the delays and left me with unmet expectations. The woman who I was working with was rather rude and unapologetic about the delays. Vision is probably one of the most important out of all of the 5 senses. When you can't see well, it can be very difficult to function. When delays occur, this only adds to the difficulty of being able to function. Rather than being sympathetic to that, the front desk staff treated me with no respect or courtesy. I've since found a much better place for my family that treats its customers with more respect and understands that patients with vision needs is important.

I asked what insurance they did accept, to which she shook her head and said "none" ?!? How can you be a doctors office and not accept insurance. Here's a tip, if you don't want new patients, simply say you aren't accepting new patients, don't lie about it to people. We have excellent insurance and have never been told it is not accepted, so something else is going on with them, especially since we were already patients there. Don't not waste your time here with the doctor and his employees, the type of people he employs is a reflection on himself.
