Flounder fillet was not fresh. Smelled sickening. Tried to bring it back the next day and they wouldn't give me a refund.

I ordered 5 lobsters for a birthday dinner. They were boiled to perfection, ready on time and delicious.

Interior design is so aesthetically pretty and provides a wonderful and elegant dining experience!…read moreThe service provided by Behrouz was attentive, friendly, and warm, which definitely helped enhance the dining experience! Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Definitely recommend giving Sea Bar a try and I can't wait to come back again one day to give them the five stars I know they can definitely accomplish! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

They offered hummus and bread--super fresh. Ohhh, Get the lobster bisque it had the biggest pieces of lobster I've ever seen in lobster bisque!!! The calamari were cooked to perfection. They had the grilled watermelon salad and beets apps also delicious . Bronzino that was given was a hearty amount. The drinks were on point. They sang happy birthday and even though the kitchen was closed they made sure we didn't feel rushed or pressured. Can't wait to come try more and to get the soup again. See you there

Not sure why gratuity is being auto-added for a party of four to begin with. More importantly, when that's the case, it's standard practice to clearly inform the customer and give them the option to add more if they choose. Our waitress never mentioned it at all--I only noticed after getting home and reviewing the receipt. Not a huge loss financially, but it's the kind of thing that costs a business repeat customers.

We've been to Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood (Staten Island) for both lunch and dinner all-you-can-eat,…read moreand the experiences were honestly very different. Lunch all-you-can-eat was amazing. Our waitress was outstanding since it was our first visit, she took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole experience feel welcoming and smooth. The custom seafood bags with mixed seasoning were delicious and full of flavor. The sides really stood out: the fried shrimp were huge, crispy, and perfectly cooked, the fried fish was good, and the calamari was light and crispy. The only letdown was the crab fries, which were disappointing considering how much fresh seafood they offer they used imitation crab, which felt out of place. Dinner all-you-can-eat, on the other hand, was less impressive. Dinner is about $20 more and includes the raw bar and snow crab legs, and while the food itself was still very good, the service was extremely slow. Getting our server's attention was difficult at times, even though there were plenty of servers working. We were only able to order a few seafood bags before being told we were out of time. We were 4 adults. Portions at dinner were also noticeably smaller than lunch portions, and overall it just didn't feel worth the higher price. I understand dinner is busier, but based on our experience, the lunch all-you-can-eat is absolutely the better value. For an additional cost, you can still add crab legs and raw bar items during lunch, making it a much better overall experience. Recommendation: Go for lunch all-you-can-eat great service, generous portions, and excellent food. Dinner all-you-can-eat could be improved, especially in service and pacing.
