My vehicle was in a sideswipe accident. It was towed there when I went to get my vehicle the spindle was broke. The tow driver the short fat guy with nasty attitude broke my truck by dragging it. He only did that because he was with the police. I told front desk they played dumb and didn't respond. I was charged 80 just to tow it not even 5 blocks. Never again weirdos I was told the tow driver did that from a shop because my damage I was still able to drive. read more

Place is not letting us get the vehicle out of impound. They want to charge $80 for them to hook up to it and pull it out. I've been to several impound lots and they all let me get my vehicle even if they had to pull it out of the yard. Do not recommend this place at all. read more

Honestly I would give these guys zero Stars if I could. They offered me $70 for my totaled car because "Scrap is down". Today I went to get it out of impound and they said I needed a release form from the police department so I went and got one and they were closed when I got back at 5:01pm. The website says they are open until 5:30 pm so I think they closed early just to get 14 more dollars out of me for storing it another day. I recommend going through cash4cars or wheelzy to get your car out of their lot read more

The dude there is rude & racist af! I had to call the police on him to let me get my items out my car before the insurance company took it away. He was rude to me at the scene of the accident as well! I asked him where was he taking my car and for a business card & he gave me an attitude then! I had to call the police station to ask what lot my car was in! I would never recommend them for anything! read more

Rude service over all! Ripped my friend off my friend and was over all sexist and unprofessional. They used profanity in front of her 7 year old sister and charged hundreds of dollars for a .3 mile tow! Not to mention they handled the vehicle with ZERO CARE! This company was sourced by the Grosse Pointe Police after an accident. When I went retrieve items from my car, after waiting for the staff to return from "lunch" with proof of ownership, ID and a police report I was met by the rudest man, most unprofessional man I have ever met. I have never been treated worse by any business. He refused access or to even discuss retrieving items from the car. It makes you wonder why a Grosse Pointe Police department would ever source a firm like this where customers are treated this terribly. Unbelievable. this place is a joke, no place to park, all I needed was to get some stuff out of my car, I couldn't drive my ot car in to clean it out, had to walk 5 minutes to get to it, took me to the wrong car at first get this they only give you 10 minutes to clean it out, only one person at a time, my car was actually blocked in, so they had to a forklift to move somebody else poor car that was parked next to mines, sounded like they tore something up on that one, had to walk through muddy potholes to get to mines, l just left the rest of my stuff in there till later, never again I'll be glad to get my car out of there!!! read more

Although, I didn't like the fact that my car was at the impound (due to another person), the employees are more pleasant in person than over the phone. Over the phone they come off rude. The location also only accepts cash in the exact amount. I rarely if ever carry cash. It was a bit inconvenient to go get cash, then change for the exact amount. A credit/debit card reading mobile app would be a great addition to Woods Towing. read more

I went to go pick up my vehicle from this company and when I walked in they had no idea of how to treat a customer. All because I had my vehicle impounded doesn't mean I'm a bum. They treated me with the most utter disrespect that I have ever endured. They do not care for customers and they do not know how to treat someone. If you like being mistreated and being talked down to. This this is the company for you. I on the other hand deserve respect. No one was arguing about the bill I paid everything and did not question anything. The atmosphere is really uncomfortable and the employees there need a lesson on better customer service and common courtesy. Horrible place. My dad got in a accident and they towed his car here. I wanted to find out how much it would be to get out and they needed registration, which i had an extra of, well while the car was in the impound the tabs and insurance had expired so they wouldn't tell me how much it would be because i needed a valid registration, which wouldn't be a problem, but we don't know how bad the damages are and if we were able to afford them ( no-fault insurance) My dad was sent to the hospital so he didn't get to really see it. We asked of we could go look at the car to see and we weren't allowed to, they wouldn't explain to us how bad nor would they take pictures. We also asked if we could get our things out of the car, sentimental things we had in there from my nana who passed away and they said i couldn't and no one could grab them for me. I was crying and they just told me absolutely not, that i have to go pay for insurance to be renewed, tabs for the car, PLUS the police department $100 dollars to get a slip to be able to get it my stuff, then i owe them $35 to grab it for me. This place is horrible, they're slow, rude and very heartless. The worst place to have your car towed. read more
