Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel I made a reservation at WoodSpring Suites Claremont three days in advance for New Year's Eve. After spending the evening at Universal Studios Orlando, which was open until 2 AM, I called the hotel twice prior to arrival to confirm our late check-in. Both times, I was reassured by Maria that arriving by 3 AM would not be an issue and that staff would be available to check us in. However, when we arrived at 2:30 AM--well within the time they promised--we found the front desk completely closed. The check-in window was shut, and no staff member was present. After multiple attempts to reach someone by phone, I finally got through, only to be hung up on. Subsequent calls went unanswered, leaving us completely stranded. If the hotel has an earlier check-in cutoff, they should clearly communicate that. We would have adjusted our plans to arrive earlier if we had been told. Instead, we were misled and left in a horrible situation with young children in the middle of the night, far from home, and during a time when all nearby hotels were fully booked due to the holiday. Being forced to sleep in our car as a family because of the hotel's unprofessionalism is unacceptable. What's worse, we were not a disruptive or problematic group--just a family trying to follow the policies that the hotel itself stated. As of now, I have not received a refund, and I likely never will. Please save yourself the stress and avoid this hotel at all costs. I choose this hotel to be near to my son's family friends, We want to expend one day with them and rent here. Pros. Nice hotel very clean, reception girl very friendly, fast check in. Room has kitchenette: full refrigerator, sink, microwave and stove oven. Cons. I paid for one room two bed and when I get here they told me is one full bed and need to paid 35$ more for two full bed. Complete kitchenette but no utensils and worse no coffee makers. I asked but you need to pay more of you want it. Only one little open soap. I told to the reception girl and said they order but didn't receive. Why then don't reduce the price for the night? Keep in mind when you rent and bring coffee makers and utensils and all your personal needs YOU Need IT. For general is great and recommend this hotel. read more

I stayed here a few weeks ago while visiting my mom who was in the hospital. I will say you pay cheap you get cheap. 1. Upon walking in there was a roach crawling on the floor and there was a smell of dirty carpet and different varieties of smells of foods being cooked. I instantly realized it literally was an extended stay hotel. The young gentleman that checked me in was very sweet and let me know if I needed anything do not hesitate to ask. Walking through the hallway I could tell the carpet is only quick vacuumed and most likely never cleaned. The smell was terrible. I could hear cooking going on inside the units and could see food and other little particles of garbage on the floor. When I got to my room I was greeted by another roach in the sink. I take that as people cooking inside the rooms and maybe not cleaning after. Again this is an extended stay and I'm assuming people have been there 6 months and more. I saw quite a few people with dogs, huge dogs that are not accepted in apartment complexes. A couple were not on a leash. They have signs to clean up after your dog which you should but on two occasions I went out and there were no doggie bags at the only dog station. I saw people from all walks of life coming and going but it seemed the ones who maybe got some kind of assistance had a good relationship with staff. I was walking in one day and there was a young lady that had just came in from work speaking with another gentleman, this one a little heavier and lives there. She was telling him her paycheck would be coming in the next day and he seemed so annoyed and bothered. No kind of understanding. He always looks like he hates his job anyway and I'm sure living there doesn't help either but dude come on. I later saw him chatting up and being quite understanding to someone that was talking to him about when his check comes in. I guess they favor the ones that get help from the government. I was there for 1 week and saw how things are run. You have to pay for clean linen and towels. The dryers don't dry all the way so you end up paying double. The building is a bit filthy. The elevator had roaches. The drink machine is always offline. Dogs barking all night. Fighting. Kids playing in hallway. Garbage compactor was overflowing. Police riding through constantly. The only two nice people at the desk are the young black girl and the skinny guy that's there during the day. It was a very interesting stay for me because I like to see all walks of life and this hotel has it. Although I'm sure the few working people that are there because of hard times, the ones that have been there kind of run the place. They need to have pest control come in more frequently. Steam clean those carpets every few weeks. Have more than one doggie station and keep bags in them. Get your washers and dryers maintenance. Get that door in the lobby fixed that is supposed to be locked. Place a sign all dogs must be leashed. You might as well just rent it out to people that need a place to stay and not visitors here for a short time because that's the vibe you get upon walking in. The rooms don't even smell like fresh hotel rooms. Think about it. Because this is not a place for visitors or tourists. read more

Alright peeps, here is the deal...in the area for long term, you are not going to get a better deal money wise. Alright again...the down low. Arrive during the day, the night will freak you out if you're not a people person. This is a transient joint. The rooms are not horrible but it is no run of the mill joint. 50 bones a night one isn't going to beat lest you really plan an Airbnb. If you can handle the cold staff (except for the repair people, they are sweet) and get the feel that you are on lock down until you get the lay of the land, you will be fine. I recommend bringing your own sheets and if you want to wash clothes, cool, but the laundry mat down the road will cost you half. The bathrooms are clean and the tv channels are good. I could do without the light right over the bed...no ambient lights. The kitchen stuff works and is tight, but no soft carpeting throughout. Be prepared to hear people and things moving, so may want the top floor. Plenty of eats in the area if wanting to venture out. I guess one main thing I would recommend as this is an extended place with kitchens, is bring a scented candle or whatever as the mix in the hall goes from spaghetti to tacos to who knows what. I guess the simple is, for the money, totally straight for singles or couples on the go. There is no pool and people come and go, so lest you want to just chill in room or go out adventuring this may or may not be for you. read more

Horrible smells, esp in the rooms! Mold in the restroom of my current room. Booked a week here and will never do it again this is a nightmare. Staff treats us like an inconvenience, checking in was ridiculous because the guy behind the counter was too stoned to get anything right.. No condiments, no breakfast. For context, keep in mind that I am a young professional, 8 months pregnant, just trying to isolate in a safe and peaceful spot (thanks COVID). I picked this location because it's quite close to the birthing center I've chosen. Do not stay here, ever. Please. I actually created this Yelp account just so I can write about this Place. I've never left a bad review before, I know the damage it can cause to businesses and I'd normally not want my personal grievances to negatively affect potential client mentality. But this Sh*t is just so crazy, I felt the obligation to warn others. And here goes. At first, everything looks great. The location is awesome. Gas+groceries within a mile. The front desk was very kind to me and I was checked in within minutes. The room smelled clean but not Too Clean (you know what I'm talking about). After several uneventful nights, I went out for breakfast and returned to find my Suite door wide open. There was a housekeeper in my room. She was changing my bedsheets, which I had laundered myself the day before. (There is a clean, inexpensive guest laundry room.) The housekeeper was startled to see me, as if she had been caught doing something wrong. It's worth mentioning that she was coughing, and also NOT wearing a mask or any other PPE. She left after I told her thanks, I didn't request room service, which is advertised on big signs throughout the building as being "optional, just ask the front desk!" Housekeeper/Thief had moved/touched almost everything in my whole Suite, including rearranging my toiletries. It was excessive and invasive! A few hours later, I saw that about half of my prescription medication had been stolen from it's bottle. Yep. I should have seen where this was going. I called the front desk to request that I be informed before housekeeping enters my room. The woman on the phone flat out told me "No. That's not possible." Okay. I explained that I am very pregnant and would prefer if housekeeping didn't come and go as they please, and for personal health concerns I'd like to be present while the room gets serviced.. She sniffed and told me that Per Company Policy, someone MUST stop by my suite biweekly to inspect the space. I had only been here for 4 days. She also said to expect another inspection the following Wednesday "whenever they get up there, I don't know." FrontDesk at no point offered empathy or solution. She also brushed off the issue of my medicine having been obviously stolen. I decided to let it go for the time being -- I have other things to worry about at this stage of my pregnancy, I thought. It gets better. This morning (Tuesday, day 11), as I was getting out of the shower, I get an official sounding knock on the door and a loud "HOUSEKEEPING!!". I called out that I had just gotten out of the shower and needed a minute. A woman YELLED through the door that they were with pest control, and that they had to come in immediately to do routine spraying. ??? I repeated that I needed a minute to dress, and then realized OH! I shouldn't have harsh/deadly chemicals sprayed in my living space, as I am due to give birth any day. I had no time to say this part out loud, however, because the person(s? sounded like multiple people), used their own key to UNLOCK MY DOOR!! I was still NAKED, it had been only about 15 seconds since their initial knock. I saw a hand come around the door to pull at the chain lock, which I had THANKFULLY remembered to latch the night before. I screamed, terrified, and flew over to the door to slam it shut. They yelled very loudly from the other side that I should pack my bags because they were going to cancel my reservation for disobeying their policies. Completely uncalled for, and waaay overly aggressive. They kicked the door and walked away. I called the front desk again. They did not evict me for being disobedient, but again, still no apology or acknowledgment that they have SO BADLY screwed up here. Anyways. I am livid that at 38 weeks pregnant, I have to relocate because this place is really that terrible. I feel so uncomfortable, invaded upon, and disrespected. I'm going to spend the rest of the day emailing every manager, GM, DM, RM I can get ahold of. This place should not continue to run like this. read more

Staff cheerful but don't follow through. Nothing has been fixed in the 4 weeks I've been there. Noise all the time from people slamming doors over and over and over. Beds don't have a box spring and are really, really hard. Also beds are short and only full size. No curtains, only blinds on window and western sun heats up the room every afternoon. Domestic fights are frequent. Closed down elevator with no notice to redo floor in lobby. It was back in service quickly. Late teens hanging on cars outside making out often. Tenants don't seem to use their inside voices and the racket is terrible. read more
