I had the opportunity to meet "Hong"(so?) And I would have to say probably one of the quickest but nicest haircut so I've gotten in a long time. What makes this place exceptionally enjoyable is the fact that their entertainment options done only for children, but parents too! There's a pool table, very comfortable seating and the owner Tina has made sure that it feels as comfortable as your living room while you wait for your kids to get their haircuts. We walked in this morning and was able to get a cut for my son within 5 minutes. She did a great job with my 2 year old. Something to note they should update their sign at the register. It stated $15 for a haircut but we were charged $28. We didn't mind the price but the sign should be changed. read more

We followed Tina here from Tom's Barbershop. Tina does a great job with my son's hair. She is always patient yet quick as his four year old energy keeps him moving. Tina, or one of her staff, has also been cutting my hair for many years. Everyone I've ever met in her shop is super friendly and gives a great hair cut. Full disclosure: I'm not great about getting regular cuts and coloring and don't have a regular stylist outside of one in SoCal I see when I visit my mom. I recently moved to the neighborhood and desperately wanted to feel less frumpy, but also didn't want to spend a small fortune. After reading reviews and seeing photos posted here, I decided to give it a try. I stopped in on a Saturday morning and they got me in later the same day. I'm so glad I took a chance! Le is the stylist who shampooed and cut my hair. She was professional, sweet and funny. She has 20+ years experience and loves what she does. She's a perfectionist, too. Took my eight-year-old son in, we recently lost his favorite barber. He is extremely picky and has slightly wavy hair. It's hard to get the texture just right, so it lays correctly. Drove by at about 8 pm and saw Woodway Salon and Barber still open. However, when I got to the door, I could see that the owner, Tina, was just closing up. As I started to leave, Tina told me that she would gladly fit me in and insisted that it was no inconvenience. I was inspecting just a ten minute buzz cut and a shampoo, what I got was one of the best barber experiences that I can remember. She took her time and made me feel welcome. The shampoo was not the 5 minute affair. There was a scalp message, a face message and a neck message. I left there looking good and feeling like I had the day off...no stress. I am definitely returning. With a pool table available, big screen TV, waiting will never be a problem. By the way, it's kid friendly as well. Stop by, I'm sure happy I did! read more

Just moved to the area and needed a haircut. This place was not far and had a good track record on Yelp so I called to make an appointment. Tina scheduled me in the same afternoon. I got a great haircut. Tina's shop is sparkling clean and charmingly decorated inside and out. She asked me good questions about preferences and frequency of haircuts and gave me a cut that my wife loved. I prefer a straightforward cut. Called to make a first appointment. Thought I would check them out since the place I usually go to hasn't reopened yet. Asked about Covid precautions. Was told they wear masks. Asked what their other procedures were; if clients were required to wear masks, if stations were sanitized between clients. Was told "No. And I think you should stay home". WOW! They got my 1 1/2 & 4 1/2 year olds in at the same time without an appointment. We were in & out in I think less than 30 min. What speed & what great haircuts!! The stylists were so kind despite my boys crying, they entertained them (they have perfectly positioned TVs & let you put on your child's favorite show), gave the boys balloons & quarters for the vending machines to get toys afterward! I will have to say that this is the best barber by far in the area. Tina is a wonderful barber, she gives my husband great haircuts. She cuts my son's hair with precision, being 13, and with cowlicks he is a tough customer. Tina treats all customers with love and care, she takes her time, and when my husband was in the hospital she took time to care for him there as well. Tina and the staff are incredibly pleasant and fun to talk with. I went through a period of box dying my hair too much which obviously damaged it quite a bit. Tina was able to even out my color and trim off the damages bits but leaving as much length as possible. She's helping me restore my hair while also keeping it long. She is a great barber as well. I have been going to Woodway Salon ever since it opened. The place is very modern and nice! Plus they give free beverages and have a pool table to use while waiting! The best thing is that they give very good haircuts! Especially from Tina, who has been cutting hair for awhile and knows what she is doing! Wow. What a great experience. My wife notified me we were doing family pics and I needed my run of the mill buzz cut. After a horrible experience at another barber's grand opening, Mario salvaged my receding hairline (albeit with a number one clipper to remedy the horrible outcome of haircut number 1) and family pics. We are so happy this place opened in our neighborhood. We just moved to Edmonds and this friendly business is our new haircut place. We walked in on a Friday, waited a few minutes while they finished up with another customer, and my husband received the perfect haircut. He doesn't have easy hair either. I Was in desperate need of a haircut. Most places we're booked out a week or more. I called this place thinking it would be the same but fortunately, they were welcoming walk-ins. Within 15 mins of calling them, I was greeted by Cindy and shortly seated. For someone who has a mess of thick hair, Cindy was able to cut my hair in a timely matter that felt quick and sufficient.
