Worst experience of my life. Last year I went here to get my wisdom teeth out, consultation was…read morefine. After the surgery I was not prescribed any antibiotics, and a weird cut was in my mouth alongside the holes from the 4 wisdom teeth I got out. This cut ended up getting infected and was the worst pain I had ever been in. Waking up in the middle of the night for days straight from just so much pain. For around 4-5 days straight I was in constant pain with an all liquid diet, losing weight, and 4 holes in my mouth that just didn't seem to be healing. So after I get an antibiotic after around day 4 of the pain from the cut the cut starts to get better but the wisdom teeth holes were still very bad. Mind you I'm taking an ungodly amount of drugs during all of this, which had their own other side effects. At this point it's around 5 days of not being able to do anything and I was still in just as much pain as I was before with the cut. So I go back in with my dad to get another x ray to see what's going on. Turns out he left bone fragments in my teeth that would require another surgery. This surgery overlapped with a vacation with my buddies I had planned months ago which was around 1-2 weeks after when my wisdom teeth appointment was scheduled, so I thought I would be mostly healed by then but nope. So we're at like day 8-9 of no food right now and I finally go back in for surgery. At the beginning of the surgery they put a needle in you to inject anesthesia or whatever. This nurse missed my blood 3 times. I was already mad for even being there, was sitting completely still and a so called "experienced nurse" missed my blood that many times and had to get out a "butterfly needle" which hurt bad. After surgery my dad asks about all the holes in my arm to which the nurse says, "he was moving". Insane. After two weeks of no food only liquid, a loss of 8 pounds, and the worst pain I've ever been in, I finally somewhat healed. If I could give a business a 0 stars I would. This happened last summer and has never left my mind. There are other details I left out about my recovery that I won't even get into. Took my months to gain that weight back in muscle and was the worst relapse I've ever had. Never go here, Garvey is a very creepy man with the worst nurses in western New York. As I see this it says he's closed and I'm the first review. So take this one star review and never re open for the sake of society.

Also known as...VIP Dental I believe?…read more The staff here is extremely welcoming and friendly. They put me at ease immediately. The waiting area is comfortable and pleasant, a rustic lodge feel to it. I'm on the fence about the dentist -I've been for a number of reasons already, everything from a cleaning to a mouthful of cavities to be filled, to getting a night guard fitted. She is lacking bedside manners and compassion to say the least. Her jokes seem sarcastic and she rarely puts effort into conversing. I ended up being reduced to tears when I was having an extreme anxiety issue at one of my first appointments. After having a large number of cavities filled on both sides of my mouth, three months later and I still have extreme tooth sensitivity and pain when I floss them. The dentist claims they will feel better after 6 months and even took an X-ray to verify that nothing was wrong with the teeth. If you're wondering why I went back to this place, it's partly because everything *except* the dentist is perfect but also because I know that I am not the easiest patient. My recommendation is that if you can afford the exorbitant cost at East Amherst Dental down the street , go there! But if your insurance is Delta Dental and you tend to have a lot of dental issues and phobias, look for a place that measures up to VIP Dental's staff but has a nicer dentist (and let me know!)

My face was swollen with the pain in my jaw and gland. A month earlier my last Dentist told me to go to the emergency since the infection was spreading and l had 2 hours to live. Not ! Had a cat scan to show that it wasn't like the Dentist and Oral Surgeon said. Never wentr back to them. Thought she would be kinder. Wrong ! I was forced to use a very old bottle of antibiotic l had at home. I called the office on Monday and told the receptionist what happened and was told that the doctor has a new program and can't order what l needed. Baloney... I told her to tell the doctor l said she's a terrible person to do that to me and that she should retire.
